Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Outstanding Start of this Series! The Walking Dead is not new to me. Of course if you have a tv you know about the hit tv show and of course the long running comic series. I haven't seen the tv show and since I'm all about comics these days I thought I would check this one out. The story centers around Rick, a police office, who wakes up from a coma to discover his family is missing and he's in the middle of a zombie attack! He travels to Georgia, Atlanta trying to find his family and avoid some zombies on the way. I loved this first book. The drawings were awesome, and the story kept me intrigued. I wouldn't say I'm a big zombie reader, but I found that I was kept interested by the idea of a zombie apocalypse. Needless to say I will definitely be reading the rest of the graphic novels in this series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from How far Makes you wonder how far people can go willing to survive the change of characters mentally of physically. I would suggest this book Im not a fan of comic books but this one is highly great. Abit different then the series on TV but still great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from story filled with great drama Yeah, this is a horror zombie tale but it is also a great character study, of how far you would go if you were trapped in a world with out hope. It's black and white art fills the mood with darkness, but suits it oh so well. Give it a read before the AMC show starts this fall

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zombies are great! The classic zombie story. Nothing innovative about it. But the story telling is absolutely stunning. It follows the struggle for survival of a small group of people led by our hero Rick through a zombie infested world. No backup, no help coming, no search for a cure. Simple day to day survival. And when even that becomes routine you realize that We are the Walking Dead. Once you buy the first book you'll eat through the others. I highly recommend.
