Rated 5 out of 5 by from Before they were stars... How this show never got a second season is beyond me. Funny and awkward, all the characters were memorable, as seen through the eyes of the "different kids" of the 80s - the "smokers" and "geeks" etc, and the ones not sure where they fit in just yet. Cult Classic material.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful "Freaks and Geeks" is a show that accurately portrays high school life, probably even for the time period that it takes place in - the 80s (I wouldn't know for sure). The show was honest, reflecting relationships between friends, parents, children, etc. This is combined with smart dialogue and great acting. The reason that this is one of the best DVDs out there is because of its length and features. All of the original music is included, which is one of the reasons why the DVD took so long to come out. The creators had to get permission to use all of the amazing music. It's almost a miracle that they were able to keep everything, untouched. The complete series includes all 18 original episodes; the director's cut of the pilot with never-before-seen footage; deleted scenes; outtakes; behind-the-scenes footage and 29 commentary tracks by the actors writers and directors who made the show. The six-disc boxed set provides over 40 hours of supplemental material, and much more. As you can already see, this DVD probably contains the most content ever for an entire series set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal This is an example of a rare show that had everything imaginable to be successful but was shut down far too early. It was only on for one season, but was one of the best shows on during that time. It is funny and touching, with elements for any type of person to be able to relate to the characters. Canadian Seth Rogan is at his best in this series, and if you enjoyed the show Undeclared which aired afterwards, you will LOVE this show. It is a show that can be watched over and over again, still retaining it's funniness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Completely worth the money! "Freaks and Geeks" was sadly only aired for one season. Once you start getting into this T.V. series you won't want it to end. It's worth the money because it gives moral lessons to teens, and it's entertaining for adults too! You won't regret giving "Freaks and Geeks" the time of day, but you will regret never being able to see the second season.
