Reviews

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wasn't bad but wasn't that great either.... Nothing ever translate well from book into film and unfortunately they made a poor choice by selecting this book. This book has too much substance and many minor plots and it's one of those books that you need to actually read fully in order to understand it. The audience is kind of just thrown into the plot and those that haven't read the book may not understand who is who and why they are there. Characters keep popping up left and right and may leave you wondering if they are one of the supporting characters or just passing by. They don't even properly explain what happens when it comes to reading out things/people out of books. (I hate it when they cut out all the important bits!) The good parts of this movie were the actors/actresses that played their parts. The people selected were really talented and probably saved the movie from complete disaster. You will definitely love Dustfinger and Elinor in this movie.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I expected more I know its always hard to fit a large book into a less then 2 hour long movie. The movie rushed the story and you didn't get the complete feel of the bonds that the characters share. The acting of Capricorn didn't seem as fierce as the character in the book. On a positive note, the movie was visually stimulating.
