Description

Adapted for the screen by Coppola from Fitzgerald's 1925 masterpiece about a handsome and enigmatic millionaire. Though he has always been in love with the same woman, now that he can afford her, she's married to a boorish philanderer. A richly successful evocation of the Jazz Age, but the performers wear the period detail like a heavy winter coat on an Indian summer day.
