Charles Rankin is a respected academic at a Connecticut college. His beautiful new bride, Mary, makes his personal life as fine as his professional career.
But the professor harbors a heinous secret. Rankin used to preside over a Nazi concentration camp. He fled that genocidal world only when Germany started losing the war.
The truth cannot be concealed for long, because a cunning G-man just picked up Rankin's trail.
