Performers Sloan

David Geffen Company | January 17, 1996 | Compact Disc

Sloan’s second record took that great step forward you want a band to take after releasing a critically and publically loved album. Twice Removed was the true introduction to the band’s sweet pop sensibilities both in terms of smile-inducing harmonies and memorable melodies. “Coax Me” was a wonderful first single that really took the band away from the noisy, Sonic Youth-like songs of the previous album, Smeared. If you want to hear the real Sloan debut, start here.
