Five years after the first edition came out, A Very Special Christmas 2 arrived in time for the holidays in 1992. The most provocative song here is definitely the duet between Frank Sinatra, a veteran of the festive recording, and pop weirdo Cyndi Lauper on "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." Still the song works as do all the diverse renditions on this album by the likes of Luther Vandross, Randy Travis and, returning for another kick, Run DMC, who dropped likely the best song on the first instalment.
