Rated 2 out of 5 by from Daniel X: Watch the Skies by James Patterson -- Lately there hasn’t been even a little break in between the exterminations, and Daniel has to face his biggest enemy yet, an Alien that is in single digits on the wanted List. Number 5. Extremely powerful, and very intelligent, Daniel is going to have to put all his strength and powers into making sure that Number 5 doesn’t go through with his ‘endertainment’. The whole town of Hollisworth is in danger of being vaporized, and are completely cut off from the rest of the world. If Daniel fails and Number 5’s plan succeeds, the world will be taken over within a matter of months. -- I don’t remember what I said when I reviewed the first book in this series, but it was probably close to what I’m saying now, Even though this book was interesting, and I like the idea behind it and the alien – alien hunter deal I just am not feeling wowed by this series. The chapters are only a couple pages long usually, and the story line for each book isn’t that great. I think that the first one was a little bit better than this one, but I think these books are just a way to get a little extra money. Then again, they’re a nice easy read, and again I like the whole defeating aliens thing, but this book is for more of a younger teenage, or a lower reading level I guess. I really don’t know what else to say about this book, I still enjoyed it, and I thought that the parts where he was with Judy interesting, but it didn’t have the same sort of dangerous feeling that it had in the first one, I mean, it just wasn’t as exciting. I don’t know if it was because of the new co –author or because this is just a dying series, but still. Anyway, lets just call this one a 2.5 Websito, http://www.jamespatterson.com/books_daniel_x.php. There is a manga thing now instead of an actual book. I think that’s a good choice. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally Awesome!! This series is just....awesome, even though they are really short books with insanly quick chapters I still love this series, the characters are so cool and the aliens are evil, but so awesome! In this sequel, Daniel X is going after Number 5, and crazy fish alien that has a plan to take over the world; this alien is controlling people through their electronics and making them do whatever he wishes, he wants to make the world into one huge comedy show by making people do stupid things. He's a very powerful alien, and that's why he is also making all the women pregnant by controlling them to eat cavier.....implanting thousands of number 5 alien eggs...to create millions of himself so they too can help take over the world.......totally wrong...i know!!! So Daniel X and his friends have to stop him, before the whole world is under his control. This was definantly a good sequel, even though Patterson put a pretty weird twist on the Number 5 alien...other than that I really liked, it's such a fun read with humour that really makes this book so enjoyable. I think Daniel X is a totally wicked character, Patterson always seems to create this awesome characters, that you just can't get enough of. I wish these books were longer though....more alien action would have been awesome, but this book was such a fun read and I can't wait for the sequel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Compared to the first book this one sucked. With the aliens that are "too scary to describe", and the seriously short chapters I don't know why anyone would like the story. To be completely honest, I don't even want to read the second book if it's going to be as bad as this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty Darn Good It's Daniel X Alien Hunter. Teenage Daniel is a super powered alien here to protect the world from the scum and villiany of extraterrestrials. This is the second(or third if you count the graphic novel) book in the series. What's happens you ask? Well number 5 on the list of Alien baddies comes to holliswood and starts shooting his latest and greatest pangalactic television series endertainment. As in the actors end with the episode. Number 5's power revolve around electricity and electronic. He takes over the entire town and starts his dastardly plans. What's he got planed for sweeps week? The death of Daniel X alien hunter. This book is aimed at younger audience. Which is unusual for the famed James Patterson. More mature readers will like it too, if you don't mind missing a few pop culture references. The next book is Demons and Druids.(or druids and demons) Don't know when it's going to be out.
