Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth it.... When I decided to buy the Munschworks collection instead of buying each book seperatley i was a little scared that i might be disappointed but when i recieved it i was very happy i had taken a chance. It has the same beautiful illustrations and nice big pages. Well worth the money. I can't wait until my son is old enough to pick which story he wants to hear each night from the book. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just as I remembered I saw this book and thought: Wow I have to buy this for my daughter. It has all my favorite Munsch stories from when I was a kid. I was not dissapointed... I laughed and my daughter keeps asking me to read the stories over and over again. It is a book for both the kids and the parents, a must have!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I purchased this book for my 5 year old grandson and read it at least 2 times in one sitting. He absolutely loves Robert Munsch and if you ask him what author he likes that would be him. My 2 year old also loves to hear the stories over and over again. I would also like to say that the illustrations are superb!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great way to encourage reading! I've been an avid reader from an early age. These stories encouraged me to read, as they are so enjoyable, and can do the same for any child. I can't wait to bring the Munschworks both to the classroom and my own home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent worth every dime As a child I loved reading these stories and now I pass them on to my niece who now enjoys them as much as I did. A great childrens' series - very good reading material for younger children.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every cent Just about anything written by Robert Munsch is guaranteed to be well-loved by children and parents alike. All 5 of these stories are fun, but Thomas' Snowsuit and The Paperbag Princess are tops. Don't hesitate to purchase this great anthology as it will be a treasured addition to your (child's) library!

From Our Editors

Munschworks: The First Munsch Collection is a best-of compilation featuring five of the most popular stories by world renowned children's author Robert Munsch. Contemporary story lines, zany humour, and the exuberant artwork of Michael Martchenko link a jaunty belief in the power of children with realistic role models in outlandish situations. Munschworks features David's Father, where a giant moves into the neighbourhood; I Have to Go!, a pre-school vignette that every potty-trained child will enjoy; The Paper Bag Princess, a groundbreaking spin on a typical fairy tale; plus Thomas' Snowsuit and The Fire Station. Munsch has more than 27 titles in print, and has sold 20 million copies of his books from Australia to Armenia.

Editorial Reviews

Parsimonious purchasers should note that the volume's price is less than the sum required to purchase the five books separately in hardcover. A good home or school purchase! Recommended.
