Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very good I was a BIG fan of the original Nancy Drew mysteries, and I'm thrilled with this re-incarnation of Nancy, George and Bess to a third graders who solve the mystery of a doll gone missing at a sleepover. The chapters are a good length and easy to read. The story made sense and ended in true Nancy Drew fashion- "of course that's what happened!" I'm looking forward to sharing Nancy Drew with my daughter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Mystery I really enjoyed reading this book because I love reading mystery stories. In this book Nancy and her friends go to a sleepover party and while they are there a doll disappears. Nancy gathers up clues and suspects and solves the mystery with the help of George and Bess. I couldn't stop reading this book and read it all in one day. I can't wait to read more Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew books! I think any girl aged 5 to 9 would love this book, too.

About the Author

Carolyn Keene was the pseudonym used by Mildred Wirt Benson when she wrote the popular Nancy Drew Mystery series. After her graduation from the University of Iowa, Benson began writing for Edward Stratemeyer. Consequently, Benson has been credited as the author of most of the first Nancy Drew books, but Harriet Stratemeyer Adams wrote the later books and edited the ones written by Benson.
