SHARON GREENLEE, a former elementary-school teacher, holds a master''s degree in Elementary Education from Drake University and teaches courses in counseling at the University of Wyoming. She focuses primarily on counseling grieving children through writing therapy. She lives in Centennail, Wyoming, with her husband Richard, an elementary-school principal.
BILL DRATH was born in 1915 in Wisconsin. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, he served in the Army during World War II (earning a Bronze Star) and the Korean War, retiring in 1966 as a lieutenant colonel. Drath illustrated several books including When Someone Dies, If I Found a Wistful Unicorn and Southern Is... He completed the illustrations for When Someone Dies just before his death in 1991
