Rated 4 out of 5 by from not bad... but... this product is good but there are some things that i was not pleased with. there were quite allot of blank spaces like the shoulder area and the legs. and the posability is a bit lacking but it is a robot afterall so this would be expected. the size is impreesive though and the weapon is cool overall nice figure but needs some improvement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best of Wave 1 This is, in my opinion, the best set of wave one for Invasion from Below. 1: Build The build was complex, with all that technic, but I do wish they'd covered the legs fully. 9/10 2: Articulation It's got some pretty good articulation, even at the legs. However, there's no knee joint, which is kind of dissapointing. 9/10 3: Playability It's got lots of playibility, with the nice waist joint (to pretend it could punch something), firing gun, flick fire missiles, etc. And the Jumpers actually jump! 10/10 Overall: 28/30 I really liked this, and if you want a beast for it to fight, I recomend buying the Splitter Beast as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EVO's Ultimate Battle Machine Hello, this is LEGOHERO2071 with another great review! This time for you guys, I have a very awesome set, 44022 EVO XL Machine! This set contains 193 pieces and 3 minifigures and costs $24.99. For minifigures, it comes with a red Jumper, an orange Jumper, and Evo, with a blaster and data pad. Now, to the set. This set includes a detachable cockpit with lights for going underground on it and a specialized windsreen, made just for Evo. It also includes a blaser holder on the right leg, double-jointed legs, a double-jointed left arm, a missile-feeding chain, a goo shooter that really shoots, flick-fire missiles, bulky, hefty armor, a research canister to contain the evil Jumpers, a laser cannon, and a mechanism that makes the XL Machine's entire torso spin 360 degrees. I hoped you enjoyed this review, please share this with others, hit the "helpful button" below, and get this awesome set!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Most Pretty Goodish Purchase Ever Decided to give EVO a chance, and pretty much got what I expected. He (or his Jaeger, rather) is big, bulky, well armed and would certainly be intimidating to any bad guys. However, the bad comes with the good. Even with a moving gear system for extra playability, he just doesn't have much articulation at all. He has no ankles, his arm movement is inhibited due to his construction and his hand just outright cannot be moved. You can fix that last thing easily by replacing his forearm with the corresponding piece instead of the thigh piece it currently uses, most likely an oversight. The gear system is a nice return to form for these types of products and I appreciate it greatly, but they really could've put more thought into the design as a whole. Even with all of that, it is an aesthetically pleasing set if you pose it right and I would recommend getting it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Big Step in the Right Direction Hero Factory sets have always looked good, but have rarely provided a satisfying build or play features. All that changes with Evo XL Machine, which pulls off a very complex and satisfying build, incorporating many play features while still looking fantastic. Some features included, like the zamor launcher (I don't care what they call them, it's still a zamor shooter to me) and the flick fires, are not exactly original, but nice to have, while others, like the gear (!!!) turntable in the waist and the jumping beasts are very exciting and remind me very much of the great days of Bionicle (you know, before the pieces started breaking wildly). My only complaint would be the stickers, which are still just as much a nuisance as they always have been. Overall, I was very impressed by this set, and I hope Hero Factory continues to move to more technic-based, complex builds (and more gears!!!).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW...Just...WOW... Hello and welcome to another one of my reviews! You will be reading the Evo XL Machine... Size: To start this re)view, I will be uncovering the size of this behemoth. His machine stands about 10 inches tall and i'm glad Evo gets the XL treatment this year. It was a little unexpecting, but I am proud of Lego for giving him a chance.10/10 Weapons- In this set, you will he will be equipped with 4 flick fire missiles, a plasma ball canon, a laser satellite, a containment tank, and an iron fist. Yeah, don't mess with this Machine. I do wish that the iron fist was replaced with something else, like a blade. 9/10 Armor and articulation: Like all HF sets, they all are fully articulated. This however has strange leg articulation. The machine has chicken ankles, but its sort of awkward. With chicken ankles, it is hard to pose his machine. When it comes to armor pieces, there is nothing new. But it is good to have extra Yellow and Gun-metal grey pieces. 7/10 Playability: The Evo XL Machine is a very sturdy set. Not only is he tough to break, the flick missiles shoot, the plasma ball canon, and if you take a look at the back, you will see a large gear. When you twist it clockwise or counter clockwise, the upper part of the machine will twist in that direction. Adjust the iron fist, and YOU CAN PUNCH THE BEASTS' FACE! HA HA! 10/10 Price: The price for this set is amazing. It's not very often Lego gives you a large figure for 25 dollars. Conclusion: In a nutshell, this set is a must-have for any Lego collector. Everything about this set is almost perfect, and for $25, how can I complain! Thank you for your time and stay tune for more of my reviews...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good size For the piece count, this set wasn't horribly expensive. I love the technic aspects of the product, and there are several good things about it. The legs aren't horrible movable, but still very supportive. The waste rotates, which is pretty cool. I like the arms and stuff, however, I don't think the fist arm was done quite right. It lacks movement and isn't posed too easily. Still a great set, though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from EVO XL machine (PICTURE BASED REVIEW) looking at the picture of 2014's EVO XL machine for invasion from below looks tank. i like the fact that it has got the arm of the cannon the EVO walker had (because i think that got destroyed) having some research done the evo walker is a very good model. the waist of it rotates. but the only down side to it is that the bottom half of the legs of the EVO XL machine are fixed by a single Technic beam with Armour stuck to the side (which adds to it to make it look more bulky). i am excited for this years sets and cant wait to get them and build them because all the mechs look cool and so do the beasts. (which many people are calling kaiju from pacific rim) apart from that i think hero factory is getting so much better with their sets each year. i dont know what will happen about the little cliff hanger the brain attack TV show left behind. maybe this year has got something to do with it.
