Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hover Hunter Attack This is a nice little Nindroid Speeder. Its a pretty cool design, with the rotating saw blade in the front, but it would have been nice if it had just a little more to it. Minifigures: Here we get Cole, new with his Techno Robes, and finally, his HAIR! I really like the design for the new mask things, and I really like that they have their hair in this series. Another thing: The Techno Blade. This is the only dark green-colored Techno Blade, and still is exclusive to the set. That's probably one of my favorite weapons Ninjago has released yet. The Nindroid 'drone' (I guess) is alright, but it never shows up in the TV series, which is kind of a bummer. It would have been nice if they changed all of the 'drones' into regular Nindroids. It would have been nice but its really minor. The Hover Hunter: This is a cool little vehicle for the Nindroids. I really like the cockpit with the little pieces that come down to hold the Minifigure in. That was a pretty cool design. The rest of the hover hunter is nice, but it would have been cool if it would have had a bit more on the purple parts that are on the top. A few extra designs or something would have made it look a little bit better. The wheel on the bottom is pretty ingenious. I never would have though of it in my life! When the wheel on the bottom of the saw blade is rolled, the saw blade rotates, like a gear. That was probably my favorite feature of the set. Lastly, I wish that this set was priced a little cheaper. In the newest wave, you can get Jay's ElectroMech (I'm doing this review way late, by the way) for $15, while this one was $12. I think that the ElectroMech is quite a bit better than this set, but that's just my opinion. I think a price of $8 - $10 for this set would have been reasonable. Overall, this is a great set, and a fun little Lego vehicle to play with.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hack Attack This set was the smallest set (not including polybags) to come out in the rebooted line. Pros: spinning saw blade in the front; only way to get Cole's green technoblade; Cole's new torso printing Cons: nindroid does not have a mask My rating would be a 6 out of 10

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ehh... It's a nice set and all, but it's kinda boring. Pros: COLE! XD Flick missles are my favorite thing. Ever. Cute wittle Nindroid! Cons: Some pieces keep falling off :/ Aaaaaaaaand it's boring. Very boring. I like the set, but it got boring quickly. I got more play value out of Kai's Fire Mech, and that's 3 dollars cheaper.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Small set, Big play value The play value in this set is absolutely amazing! Cole & the nindroid can fight and the hover hunter is absolutely amazing. The value for money isn't great, £9.99 for 79 pieces, compare it with the Lego Seasonal Christmas Snowman set which is £8.49 and comes with 140 pieces! That is the only downside, otherwise this set is amazing!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good set This set is a great set for all ninjago fans like me. This set contains Cole and a nindroid. The hover hunter is a good set for a cheap price. The best thing is the spinning blade because it spins while moving so you can drive it while chopping things at the same time. The worst thing about this set is the nindroid because he doen't have a hood so he looks incomplete. Also in the TV show all nindroids have hoods so there is no point in making him with no hood! The techno blade is good but they don't look like weapons so you can't really use them in a battle. Anyway this set is pretty good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from love it! this set has some really great features to it. thats really all i have to ay, because it makes the set a worth-it buy for me. the spinning blade is genius, and the flick missiles work really well on my particular set. the mini figures, though, are amazing. the new cole is my favorite of them all so far, and the new nindroid is pretty cool, too. i would definitely recommend this to a friend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good small set! Hello, this is my first review. I am a Ninjago fan, and this is the most recent set I bought from it. Well, the set is pretty standard for a Ninjago set. Ninja! New collectable! Enemy figure who is pretty much a clone! Weird vehicle! :) Japanese styling meets funky 21st century upgrades! -And this set is pretty much that. So let's get down to it. I shall start with the minifigures, since they are the real reason you buy most sets, especially one this small. COLE Well he is the highlight of the set. He has the best look he's ever had, with gold and brown meeting in a most moonlighting fashion. He has his hairpiece, (Finally you dont need to scour eBay for that pesky Scateboarder anymore) and it looks pretty cool on him, but the lack of a mask makes him look not-so-ninja-ish. Sigh. He comes with the exclusive green techno blade, which kinda looks like candy. Overall he is a decent figure, and Cole fans will love him. NINDROID Hmmmmm. I think this guy is......just pretty boring. I mean, he has no ninja mask! And he's a nindroid! But he just looks like a cross between Terminator and a Foot ninja. Oh well. He does work well as a pilot, but he IS supposed to fight Cole. He uses his cockpit covers as weapons, which is a bother because they are hard to wiggle out of their holders. The other functions in this set are: the generic flick-missiles, (Though to be fair, it is fun to use them to try and hit Cole-and they fire well and don't hurt your fingers.) and the buzz saw thing on the front spins when you roll the hunter. This was a pleasant surprise for me when I built the set, and it is fun to move the hunter back and forth to see the darn thing spin. The problem with this function is that the wheel pushes the saw up on one side, so the saw is not even, plus the hover hunter is obviously supposed to hover, and you hold it to make it hover, the buzz saw won't spin. But anyway, the set is a quite decent build, there are no stickers, the colors work very well, and the set is just fine for Ninjago collectors. If you want a good introduction to Ninjago, this isn't it. But if you want neat 2014 Ninjago minifigs, and a fun little vehicle, then this set works just fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Presenting...The HOVER HUNTER with the Earth ninja First of all, very easy to build probably it will take to build 10 minutes to build it or less. Not much play experience since, there is only 2 minifigures and one little "nindroid" hover hunter but a very good price. Now this is a very good way of getting Cole with his technoblade very cheap. I would give it a higher rating if only there was an extra nindroid with an extra Ninja. Well it's the smallest set there is ( for some of you who want cheap sets) This is my first LEGO Ninjago set for the NEW Season of Ninjago Episodes. Another thing I would change in the set besides the amount of minifigs, is make the hover board a little bit more details or add some more bricks to it . Well that's IT!

Hoverhunter: Pros: Great saw blade spinning function. Flick missiles. Comes with an exclusive color of the techno blade(exclusive so far). Great design. Cons: None that I can see. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, but awkward This set is great because it features some great pieces for a big collector like me, however these pieces are somewhat awkward and impractical, which may pose a problem for some buyers. I, however, love the big mace-axe weapon, black ninja mask, and rotating blade on the front. I would recommend this to those who like rare, strange pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Awesome Mini Set! This is a neat little set! Its got awesome features and great minifgures! Minifgures: Cole - I really like the new variation of cole. He has cool torso printing and I love the hair. Nindroid - This is a cool nindroid just like the others, but it has no mask. It's bald! Main Build: Hover Hunter - The Hover Hunter is super cool! You get some nice printed pieces and a feet for the nindroid. The feature in the hover hunter is the saw that is in the front of the vehicle. When you push the hover hunter the saw starts to move in a circular direction! Overall this is a cool little vehicle! Overall, this is a nice mini set, and I recommend it for all Ninjago fans! 10/10
