Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing I like batman, I like their lego sets, I've enjoyed many of their interpretations of the Tumbler. This set does well in that regard. However, the instructions aren't as clear as they should be, and the Bat flying vehicle is a big disappointment. The entire finished product does not feel substantial enough to justify the price tag, but more than that, the Bat vehicle feels like an experiment, or an unfinished product. Some of the details are great, the articulation is nice, but the overall product feels clunky and unfinished, and definitely not sleek and powerful as a Batman vehicle should. if you're a completest, then buy away, but for any other lego batman fan, there are many other sets to enjoy. The biggest selling point me for me was Lego Gary Oldman/Gordon. He's rad. But definitely not worth the price of admission.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A hero can be anyone. I got this set because of the minifigs that come with it. The Bat was was really easy to put together, I was a little disappointed with the size of The Tumbler I was suspecting something bigger, it was definitely a great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Bat vs Bane: Tumbler Chase Being the only set based on the Christopher Nolan, The Dark Knight Rises, this is a pretty awesome set. Figs first, Batman is cool. He has a new molded cowl that loks better than the old one. His suit is grey, not black from the movie, his torso is doulbe sided. Bane is a new version from the movie. His torso si double printed and so is his head. Gordon is prety much a cop in a swat vest. the vehicles are pretty cool as well. The Bat has a black and blue colour scheme which is different from other vehicles. it has an opening TWO seated cockpit, which is awesome, I can now seat my Robin fig in as well. The flick missiles and moving arms make for a great addition. Now for the Tumbler ( at least i think thats what it is). It is very cool, the top flips open so you can seat Bane inside. The fins in the back open up to reveal flip up missiles. the stickers are ok. The tumbler is different from the 2008 version and signifigantly smaller. It looks more like a tank, but it fits Banes style so Im ok with it. Overall, this set is great for anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from In For Lego Batman, Bane, & Tumbler The highlight of this set is the inclusion of 3 great minifigures, Batman, Bane, and Gordon. Not to mention the Tumbler aka the Batmobile as used by Bane. Fairly easy to complete, the Batplane has quite a few moving parts, the Tumbler is on the small side and could've been bigger but moves very smoothly, the police barriers are somewhat unnecessary but it adds to the overall set anyway, but the minifigs are what make this set stand out. A good set to get for any Batman fan.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It looks Good I grabbed this up as I am a huge Batman fan and loved the Dark Knight trilogy, also, because my son loves Batman as well. The set is very detailed and looks great, my con loves playing with the tumbler as it is a pretty sturdy build. I was a little concerned with the overall size of the vehicles though, they seemed a little small and some of the details on the Bat itself were not true to the movie, like the propellers do not face back, they face down like a helicopter. Overall, the set isn't bad, the minifigs are great, but I do agree with some of the other reviews that Catwoman should have been included as she was the one passenger that rode in the Bat. Other than a few discrepancies the set is pretty cool and fun to see my kids play with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Dark Knight Rises+LEGO was a HUGE Success! This was my first Batman LEGO set and it is definitely a very great set. Being a huge fan of the 2012 movie, The Dark Knight Rises, and of the Batman universe, this set seemed like a perfect match, and that it is! With 3 incredible minifigures and two awesome vehicles, I really love this set. Here are the awesome minifigures. Batman: Absolutely love this figure, comes with grey legs with no printing, a grey torso (my only complaint) with the bat symbol, plates and all that awesome stuff, looks just like the movie but, why is it grey? It should be black. He also has a double sided face, one with a serious expression and one with a kind of smirk, but with his cowl on you can only see the mouth's expression, but I like how he has the double face. Although that one complaint with the torso, it is definitely my favorite Batman figure of this Superhero wave. Bane: The one who broke this Knight! He is another great minifigure, I love his very detailed mask, it looks fantastic! His torso looks just like the film with the tan, olive green and brown, and he has grey legs. Commissioner Gordon: My favorite minifigure personally, he is one of my favorite characters in the Batman universe and I love the figure. He has brown hair, he has a double sided face, a scared expression and a normal expression. His face is very accurate also with his large glasses and mustache. He has a grey S.W.A.T. vest that is well detailed over a blue shirt for his torso and black legs. Here is the set First off to say, you get two yellow and black barricades with yellow transparent bricks on top. The Tumbler: Although smaller than the tumbler in the 2008 set, "The Tumbler: Joker's Ice Cream Surprise" I really love this. It may look small on the box, but when I built it I was pleasantly surprised, it was actually much bigger than I thought it would be. It is a great solid design, it has two stickers with Bane's mask on the hood and the hatch, it has an exhaust with fire coming out of it! It is just so cool! The Bat: The Bat is made of two colors, black being the main color and blue being the second. Although it is not movie accurate, I really love the blue accents in it, it has three stickers, there are nine different places where you can change the way the Bat can look that what the box shows. In the cockpit, there is seating for two, there are two flick missiles and a rescue rope where someone can hold on for a quick extraction or rescue so I thought that was really cool. And also the rope is easy to take off if you want it to be off. My thoughts on this set is, that it is amazing. It has a few things wrong that I wish could be fixed but I am very happy with the set the way that it is. This set was very minifigure driven for me because of Commissioner Gordon, Bane, and of course the Dark Knight, but overall, this set gets a 9 out of 10. Great set, and very fun to play with. Check out my other reviews and thanks for reading :) !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "So. You came back to die with your city." Yes! They have finally made Lego Batman sets to go along with the Dark Knight movie series. I really hope they make more, possibly one with joker. Anyway, back to this set. It has some things going for it, such as the amazing minifigures and BANE, but there are a couple designs that I dislike. The Build This build was fairly easy, the bat being a bit more difficult. I'd put it at about average. Also, you get different bags, allowing you to build the tumbler before the bat, vice versa. I had fun building this, but if you like sets for just building them alone, go with a different set. The Minifigures The Minifigures are by far the best part. Batman is cool, designed a lot like the older one. And I just love Jim Gordan, especially considering he's one of my favorite characters. I do think they could have designed his body better, but, meh, it's not a big deal. But then there's the minifigure you've all been waiting for....(drum roll)....BANE! I have wanted a Bane minifigure ever since I saw the movie. He is a good, fun minifigure. However, I *might* have liked it better if he had a removable mask, one that is not printed to his face. But I'm not sure how well that would have worked, so maybe it's good they didn't. The Set This set is pretty cool. The Tumbler is really fun, but I have one major complaint for it; it's just too small. In the movies, it's built like a tank. In this, it's built like a car. A minifigure can only fit in it if it has no headpiece(Not Joking). I think I could have forked out the money for a bigger tumbler, and no Bat. But I guess that will never happen. However, while the tumbler is fun, the Bat kind of fails. It just isn't very fun. However, I like how it can fit TWO minifigures in the cockpit. Cool design, Lego! The Price For once, I think the price is right. They could have added in another minifigure, such as one of Bane's henchmen, but overall, I am okay with the price. Overall I would recommend this set, if you like The Dark Knight Rises(Great movie, by the way). The Tumbler should have been bigger, and I wish it had come with another minifigure, but I can live with this. Good job, on the part of Lego. Review written by, Jabba The Pumpkin Head P.S. If you enjoyed this review, a helpfulness vote would be great! And don't forget to check out my other reviews. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You'll just have to imagine the fire... That is a line from Bane that is said around the time this scene happens in the movie. So I got this set yesterday from my grandma, and I went to her house after to build it. Let me just say, it was actually a little... complex for me even though I'm a great builder. It may be overpriced but not much, plus all Lego sets are expensive. THE BAT The Bat looks awesome. Yes, the blue mixed in there with the black truly looks great. Blue and black are my favorite colors combined, so building the Bat and playing with its great look is a nice treat! the Bat also has a LOT of moving parts and getting them in the right position could be a little difficult at times, but nothing you can't get through. Its got a cool cable wire or something that minifigures can grab onto. I'm planning on building my own atom bomb to attach it to! The bat also fits two people, so you can put whoever you want in there. THE TUMBLER The tumbler is tiny, yes, but I think LEGO wanted the Bat to be the biggest and main focus of the the set. The Tumbler has a fun function to move pieces and bring up the missiles to shoot them. The vehicle fits just one person and rolls well. Lego Batman looks fantastic with his detailed body, but WHY IN THE NAME OF THE WORLD DID LEGO MAKE HIM GRAY? I just don't get it. He is not gray in the movie, and it doesn't particularly look the same if you are playing with him, but he's still good nonetheless. Bane is cool. He looks menacing and strong. I thought what would've been cool was if lego gave Bane a 3-D mask that you could take on and off of him. Gordon wasn't a BIG reason i bought this set, but he looks really about the same as in the movie. I really don't think Lego got his hair QUITE right, but that doesn't matter much. He has a serious face and scared face on his head. Overall, a nice set. I don't know if I've ever gotten a bad Lego set, but if you're a Dark Knight fan, you should pick this up! JUST ONE QUESTION: WHERE IS THE NEW CATWOMAN? She played a huge part in this moment of the film and she is not included and she isn't in any other sets, so... I'm kind of stuck with that. But yeah, if you want this set, definitely fly into the Lego store and pick it up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Bat is flying through Gotham! Salt And Pepper here, This set has good reviews, it looks good and it IS good. The Bat may look delicate. But actually it is really sturdy. As is Bane's tumbler. Pros: Bane's tumbler has hidden missiles The Bat can fit Batman AND Commisioner Gordan The Bat is really sturdy and very posable as a vehicle. Cons Front wheels of Bane's tumbler are a bit exposed The back of the Bat (where the engine is) hardly looks able to support such a big vehicle. Batman: Instead of the classic Grey and Blue Batman the designers have thought more about the sets origin, the Dark Knight Rises. So I think that is a really awesome way to manage Batman as a minifig. Bane: Bane doesn't come with any weapons or hair. But he doesn't need them. This bone-crusher is more than a match for Batman! Bane is really detailed and certainly looks scary. Commissioner Gordan: Commissioner Gordan looks like a standard police officer with a moustache the size of a brooms brush. None the less that is what he is and thats what he looks like in the movie. Therefore I have very little to say against him. I hope you've found this helpful and look out for more of my reviews!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Dark Knight This is a set with many ups and downs. I would like to start off with the minifigs. Batman: Wow. I'm serious. Wow. Lego hit the marker with this minifigure, making him my second favorite one I have. His detail is incredible. So awesome. Commisioner Gordon: A really cool minifig due to his epic body. I love the SWAT vest he wears. Also a really cool minifig. Bane: I saved him till last because he is my single favorite minifig ever. The detail is incredible. Of all the minifigs he is the best. Props: Roadblocks: I really like these. They work really well with this set. Vehicles: Tumbler: This is the tumbler Bane uses in TDKR. I must admit this was my least favorite part of the set until I built it. It's playability is awesome. The best vehicle in the set. The Bat: The only disapointing thing in the set is the Bat. It is out of proportion. It's back is a tiny engine while the front is oversized. Of all of the set this is the only major problem I have. Hope this helped!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE BAT Wow. This set is truly fantastic. The detail on the minifigs are simply amazing. Lets start. Batman The detail on his suit is extremely accurate to the movie. His new helmet really gives him the dark knight look. Only thing I would change about him is that instead of dark grey, I would make his suit black. Bane His olive green vest is simply awesome. The back printing really helps the character look more realistic. The mask is awesome, and I love that they made the back of his mask. Only thing I would have changes is the mask color. In the movie, its black, and here it's olive green. Gordon Great detail, and i'm very glad that they finally made him. His double sided face and back printing look amazing. Only thing I would have changed is instead of a SWAT suit, I would have made it a suit jacket and tie. Bane's tumbler Great look, but is a little small. You can tell that it was designed for Bane. You can kind of fit Gordon in there, but you cannot fit Batman. The Bat AMAZING. I love everything about it. The blue touches you see throughout is awesome. I love that it fits 2 people. So much detail and it's awesome. Pros Batman Gordon (finally) Bane The Bat Tumbler Playability Cons Should have come with catwoman and a batpod Tumbler a little small Overall, 9 out of 10. Get this set now!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool set or not? Well great set but the value was not good. Pros: Awsome Minifigs, The bat is awsome. Cons: Again not good value, could have had Bat pod and new catwoman. Tumbler is very small compared to 2008 version. Over all great set but the cons are honest...... Keep on Bricking!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lego has done it again! With this Batman set, there is no need for pros and cons. Bane's Tumbler is neatly built and The Bat is just purely spectacular. The minifigures (Batman, Bane, and Commissioner Gordon) are minifigures that are a must have. This set is the only and best The Dark Knight Rises set, and because of this, LEGO really should create more unique The Dark Knight Rises sets. Overall, Lego has really done an impressive job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Dark Knight Rises turned Lego. First of all, I'd like to say that this is my first time buying and building a Lego set. I went into the Lego shop without intending to buy anything but when I seen it set up in the case I had to buy it! It's a credit to The Dark Knight trilogy and a brilliant gift for any Batman fan. Pros: Easy build Great detail Looks amazing in the Lego collection when set up Tumbler is very alike to the film The Bat is incredible and has two seats for Batman and Jim Gordon Cons: Needs a Catwoman minifig. Needs a Batpod. Batman is grey not black

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Dark Knight Rises I picked this set up at my Lego store and I must say I was very impressed. When I got it all built (it was a pretty easy and fun build) I was amazed at how cool both vehicles looked. The tumbler was way more detailed then I was expecting and the color scheme was right on. The way Bane fits in is very cool as well. It would be nice if it was a little bigger but its no real con and I know that it properly would have upped the price. Batman's ship is very cool too the detailing is amazing! and looks great on display. and also just fun to fly it around. the minyfigures are pretty good the best minyfigure is defiantly batman. Gordon is really well detailed and a nice addition to this set all though he properly won't wow you. Last but not least is bane, he is a pretty cool minyfig although his legs don't match his torso in my opinion. out of all the minyfigs in this set batman is the best but the others are nice additions. the only cons in this set are no catwomen, the tumbler could have been a little bit bigger, the wings on batman's ship seem a little awkward. none of these cons are big deals so I highly suggest you pick this set up. thank you for reading my review.

Then I thought why is the set coming out in January if the movie came out in July. Lets get to pros and cons. Pros Cool minifigures Bane The long awaited Comissioner Gordon The Bat Fun Build Sturdy Cons Batman is gray Should have come with Catwoman and Talia No blue on Bat To expensive Tumbler is to small This set is a good set with a few flaws but over all a good set for TDKR fans.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Funnest play ever It was a great set, easy build but an interesting one. The Bat differs from the movie version but looks better, it doesn't have a place to store weapons and batarangs but it does have to seats! I love the design and the arms, they look great with the gun and missile launcher! It is not 2 fragile either. The tumbler is very awesome 2 it is very small, but unlike most people I like that, it is detailed and manuverable, and can move fast if pushed, the only bad thing about it is the missile launchers, they don't work 2 well as when you flick the missiles they don't fire good. Pros- Mini figs- very cool and very detailed! Design- very detailed and very manuverable Easy build! Fun to play with Cons- The tumblers missile launchers Not to challenging To much money Could include 2 tumblers. Finally it is a very good set and I would recommend it to anyone

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for money plus a little more Brought this set at my local Lego store not knowing once I had came home to find out that a Lego game for Steam had been included. The price is reasonably since this build would technically be around that price and including a free game that's normally $20 is a steal. The build was pretty fun, nothing really to complain about and it was great finally including a DC series to my collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Set Love this toy. Bat, AWESOME!!! Love Commissioner Gordon, and Tumbler and Bane!!! Tumbler, I wish could be a bit bigger like the size to the Vampyre Hearse, but still a great set.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "This isn't a car." I was excited when I first heard about this set, as I am a huge Batman fan, when I saw the pictures of it I was even more excited. Once I got the set and put it together, I was a little disappointed in the size, but I had been expecting it to be a sort of small. The highlight of the set for me is probably the movie-style batsuit, because I missed out on the old movie sets. The Bane and Commisoner Gordon minifigures are very detailed, but I kinda wish that they had made a Bane helmet piece, because the printing doesn't go all the way around his head. The Bat is nice and detailed, the Tumbler is detailed, but small, and the roadblocks are a nice touch. I hope that this was helpful. Play well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Yes, Mr. Wayne it does come in black! The set is absoloutely brilliant! It's a great value for money! So lets have a look at the details... The Minifigs: Batman- As we see him in the 'Dark Knight' trilogy, this minifig is highly detailed but for some reason is not black like in the movies. Commissioner Gordon- The first minifig of Jim Gordon we have seen, it is highly detailed and comes with a gun accessory. The minifig is the highlight of the set as many fans have waited for this release. Bane- Bane is highly detailed and looks stunning. There is printing on the front and back of the head and is possibly one of the most long awaited minifig of the year, and it is not a disappointment. The Set: The Camoflage (Bane's) Tumbler- The Tumbler is rather small but is packed with detail and looks really good. You can open the roof to slot Bane in and out and there's also flick-missiles at the rear. It moves well too. The Bat- Words cannot describe the beauty of the Bat. It is nice, sleek and fully functionable. The cockpit can sit two minifigures- Batman and the Commissioner (oh yes and I think Catwoman should be in the set) and there are flick-missiles. There are a few propellers on the back and there is a tail too. The wings and 'arms' can move multi-directional which is cool too. My only problem is that the Bat does not have blue pieces in its structure... Summary: Overrall, the set is great, minifigs are superb and the vehicles are cool. Only problems are- Catwoman (Film trilogy version) needs to be included and the Bat needs to lose the blue parts. I hope this review helped you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Cool Set But... The Bat was an awesome build. When it was finished my daughter was in awe. Then she turned to The Tumbler and asked what happened? I snickered a little and attempted to explain. Needless to say, the explanation was in vain as she had hoped for a bigger Tumbler. With all honesty, I do not disapprove of this set. I just wish there was a little more to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great set for fans of the movie! This is the first Lego Batman item I've purchased, the regular items are a bit cartoony for my tastes. This set is awesome! Both vehicles feel a tad small in scale, especially the Tumbler, but they look fantastic and it's not that big a deal. The Tumbler is probably my favorite, since I missed out on the first Batman Tumbler. The minifigures are great, and it's a nice touch that Batman can ride in The Bat with his cape on. This set works really well with all the City police sets. This set feels like a great value for both vehicles and three cool minifigures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW!!!!!!!! One of the best Lego set's I've ever bought ! For start we get Jim Gordon, a amazing bane looks the same as the movie, which is fantastic, and a new dark knight himself BATMAN! The Bat is so good but a little too much blue and the tumbler is a little small compared from the old batman tumbler but apart from that it's amazing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great set based off of a great movie My final 2013 review (for now of coarse) will be on The Bat vs Bane, Tumbler chase. And I would like to get straight to it. THE MINIFIGURES The first minifig you get is TDKR Batman. He is fantastic. The details are great, from the new cowl piece to the bronze belt, the detailing is excellent. Second you get Commissioner Gordon, who fans of Lego Batman have wanted for some time. He looks very nice, and comes with a detailed SWAT uniform. Finally we get TDKR Bane. His fig is just as detailed as TDKR Batman, and just as great. So you truly get some amazing minifigs in this set. THE TUMBLER This first part of this set is the tumbler. It is quick and simple, and I believe the reason they did was to make the price cheaper. It still is pretty neat though. It has nice details and two hidden flick and fire missles. I also like the orange, brown, and tan color scheme. Overall it is actually pretty cool. THE BAT Now this is the best part of the set. The Bat looks fantastic. It has flick and fire missles, a cable in back, and an opening cockpit. Lego did an excellent job designing the set. The black and blue color scheme looks quite well too. Congrats to Lego for making this model, for it is truely epic. This set is $49.99 US, which is a pretty good price considering you get three amasing figs and and awesome set based off and awesome movie. Overall, I highly recommend getting this set. Until next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty Sweet! I was fortunate enough to find this set along with alot of the other new sets at one of my local stores, and picked it up along with a few other new SH theme sets. This set is alot of fun, with hidden flick missles, an opening cockpit for both vehicles, flick missles on the Bat, and alot of adjustable parts on it too. I think that OVERALL this set has an okay price, but think LEGO and Dc could've brought down to 35$ But hey, it's still a fun set to zoom around the house. So in all, I have enjoyed having this set alot since I got it, and will without hesitance add it to my collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh My God! This is pretty epic LEGO set! Awesome minifigures and stuff but, Bane's Tumbler is to small and why is it not like the 2008 Tumbler? One more thing LEGO why are you not making a new version of minifigures like Nightwing and Killer Croc? Chould you make them in a LEGO BATMAN set or a LEGO NIGHTWING series? You should start making LEGO NIGHTWING sets. P.S: Love the set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice. It is a nice representation of the Dark Knight series. I personally like it a lot. The vehicles are both really cool, but the Bat is cooler overall. I like the color scheme, and the fact that it looks movie accurate. The chain on the bottom is cool as well. The Tumbler's a bit small, but still decent. The build of both of them is very sturdy, which is a plus. The minifigs are cool, really movie accurate. The Comissioner Gordon looks precisely like the one in the Dark Knight. Overall it is spectacular.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some disappointments, but still a good set The key to understanding this set is that it is inspired by The Dark Knight Returns but is not actually a direct scene. Rather, it feels like it would have been something from an animated series referencing elements of the movie. With that in mind, the set does what it sets out to do - give us a representation of The Bat aircraft, albeit with some blue highlights not in the movie (including a grey batman). The camo-tumbler is smaller than figure scale unfortunately, and had LEGO made the kit $50 USD for a larger tumbler I think this set would be better received by older folks and collectors. Still, it can hold a figure for play and mock battles are easily done with smaller hands - which is what I think LEGO was striving for, so that combined with a very good minifigure set combines to make a good set. With a price tag of $60 USD combined with a larger Tumbler, Black Batman and lack of blue highlights this would have moved more with the collector set, but lets not forget - these are first and foremost toys for kids and need to be judged in that light. Collectors but may be disappointed, but AFOLs and kids will still find this set very nice to have and use!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Dark Knight vs Bane!!! This set is pretty cool. The bat is sooo epic but the Tumbler is kinda small. I would like it better if the Tumbler is bigger. Pros The Bat!!! Its cool how they mixed blue and black the minifigs are awesome and have good designs, especially Bane!!! Its well modeled after the movie Cons bane's Tumbler is small A little overpriced. It should be $35.00 Overall, this set is good for a Dark Knight trilogy fan

Rated 2 out of 5 by from could have been better!!! I am a great fan of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy and the dark knight rises but not really of the Lego this year. Anyway, Onto the minifigures. Dark knight Batman - I very detailed and good looking minifigure but I don't understand the colours, In the Movie his suit Is black and not a dark grey but he Is grey In this set? anyway Its a very cool Batman. Bane - extremely detailed and realistic to the film, love the head printing. Commissioner Gordon - good torso and realistic head piece, overall Its great and looks a lot like the person In the film. Minifigures are really good Just Batman's colour's. Im really disappointed with the tumbler, It's way to small and not detailed enough, It does not even have the gun. They should have used the Bat Tumbler In 2008 and changed It. Overall I don't like It, It makes Bane look weak. However the Bat Is awesome, very detailed and well designed compared to the tumbler. It's very flexible and easy to move around In your hand, has the rope which was attached to the Nuclear bomb, You can fit two minifigures and overall Its well made and looks good. The stop post's are a nice added feature, Overall the set Is good but there are some disappointment's. It should be $29.99/ £29.99 as the tumbler Is so small but If they did a bigger version with more detail It would be worth $39.99/£39.99. You can have fun with the set and no doubt It will be worth a lot In years to come.
