Steven Spielberg takes a surprisingly comic look at the panic gripping L.A. in the aftermath of the Japanese attack on Pearl harbor. As explosions burst forth and air raid sirens scream, Angelenos react to the news of war with a somewhat energetic craziness. They dance at the USO, compete with each other to get the prettiest girls and watch as Hollywood Boulevard becomes a pile of ruins. This big-budget pic features outstanding special effects, large-scale action scenes, super stunts... and a mind-boggling number of stars.
An underrated comedy spectacular set in Los Angeles immediately after the attack on Pearl Harbor when a Japanese submarine mistakenly attacks the coast of California. An ITA winner.
Paul de Rolf choreographed the dance sequence at the USO. The film credits 82 cast members and over 160 technical personnel. Produced by A-Team.
