Rated 4 out of 5 by from What can't you like about this series? This season is like all previous seasons - great character development, layers upon layers of intertwining plots and a devious psychopathic serial killer in the form of one of my favourite actors- John Lithgow. This series never disappoints me. Always entertaining, rarely predictable and refreshingly raw and real (the language and nudity is never overdone ) it's uniqueness puts it in a class of it's own. Season Four delivers and will hold its own in your collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved season four! Dexter is now married and a father, but his dark passenger is still inside wanting out. In this season Dexter is trying to juggle the man that he was with the man that he is now and that man that he was. When Dexter discovers another serial killer (Arthur) who seems to be able to have his own family and dark side, Dexter tries to figure out Arthur’s secret to success. Dexter has both success and failure throughout the journey but he gets closer and closer to figuring out who he wants to be, old Dex or new super Dad Dex. In the end neither killer is perfect and Dexter needs to stop Arthur for not working within the code. This leads Dex and Arthur on an awesome cat and mouse game! Wow! It was way better than I thought it was going to be. I was a little unsure of how a married and family man Dexter could still be the serial killer that we all love. I though that Dexter might have mellowed, but no worries he is better than ever. This was the best season yet, with some of the best moments yet. (***SPOILER*** I loved when Arthur walks into the police station on confront Dexter!) With story lines coming back around to the first season I can’t wait for the next season!

Editorial Notes

Dexter is now a family man, and Rita has given birth to a baby boy named Harrison. The family has moved to the suburbs, where Dexter struggles to reconcile his new life with his killing urges. Special Agent Frank Lundy returns to hunt down the "Trinity Killer" (John Lithgow) who he believes always murders three people in a very specific sequence: a young woman in a bathtub, an older mother of two falling to her death, and a father of two bludgeoned to death.
