Demi Moore is fire and steel as a female soldier testing herself against the rigors of the Navy SEALs training program in Ridley Scott's G.I. Jane. Jordan O'Neill, through a series of political maneuvers orchestrated by Senator Lillian DeHaven (Anne Bancroft), is the first woman eligible to try out for the SEALs. The program itself is uncommonly brutal, and her cruel Master Chief  (Viggo Mortenson) is especially hard on her. O'Neill perseveres and proves her right to serve in the elite force, only to see the same political shenanigans that got her there in the first place threaten her career. It's one obstacle she may never overcome in this provocative and engaging film.
