Young Sally (Drew Barrymore) is a drive-through employee at a good ole' Burger-matic. She's also pregnant and looking for love - and an understanding guy. What she doesn't know is that the baby's father is dead, scared to death by his stepsons Dorian and Angus (hunky Luke Wilson and Jake Busey) who menaced him in a military helicopter. What's worse, Dorian wants Sally dead. But when Dorian meets her he begins to fall for her - if only he didn't have to worry about his mother's scheming ways (brilliantly portrayed by Cannuck Catherine O'Hara), everything might turn out okay. From there, events spiral even further into the land of black comedy. Home Fries is a quirky, hard-to-label picture penned by X-Files scribe Vince Gilligan. Small-town hokiness mingles with romance (Barrymore and Wilson were a couple during the filming....) and creates for some hilarious moments.

Description

A quirky, hard to label picture penned by X-Files scribe Gilligan. Loosely, the story concerns a drive-through employee at a fast food restaurant (Barrymore). She is ordered to be murdered by the son of the dead man with whom she'd been having an affair. Not so fast, however, for the son, Dorian (Wilson), begins to fall for her. From there, events spiral even further into the land of black comedy.
