After a long search, Lenny discovers that the boy`s mother (Mira Sorvino) is a hooker who moonlights as a porn star. He is immediately taken with her, and devotes himself to her betterment. Synopsis

When upscale New Yorker couple Lenny and Amanda adopt a young boy, Lenny is so impressed with the lad that he becomes obsessed with finding the child's birth mother. After all, he surmises, any woman who had such a child must be perfect. Instead, "mom" turns out to be Linda Ash, a hooker/porn star who has led a troubled, traumatic life, and who deeply regrets having given up her baby. Lenny is so taken with Linda that he decides to help her improve her situation -- a task that forever alters both their worlds.
