Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pre-natal Yoga DVD! I really enjoyed this DVD. I am 20 weeks pregnant, and I have done yoga in the past. I found this DVD to be excellent for releasing tight muscles and relieving back pain and headaches. This yoga DVD isn't much of a Cardio workout - but that isn't what I wanted it for. I absolutely love it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissapointed I was disappointed with this DVD. I found that the poses were too easy, and not enough time was spend on some of the postures to get a good stretch. The relaxation/meditation was also really short. I also noticed that exhale was mispronounced throughout the DVD. I have other GAIAM Yoga videos that I would recommend, however this one is not worth spending $15.00 on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from well, the poses were good I did not like Shiva Rea's way of speaking. After listening to the umpteenth repetition of "exssail" instead of exhale, I started laughing and could not finish the dvd. Also, it was not possible to use closed captioning to get around this annoying verbal tic. The intro was too long. Wish Jillian MIchaels would do a prenatal yoga video!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Average If you are a beginner this DVD or very late in your pregnancy, this is probably a great DVD for you. I am 20 weeks along and I have done some yoga in the past and found it to be much to easy. I was looking for something to give me a bit more of a work out. This is mainly for stretching which is good, but not what i expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth a Try For Sure! I have never been a fan of yoga but when I heard about some of my friend's labour and deliveries, I realized that it might be a good idea to limber up a bit and build some strength. Being a beginner and pregnant, I found the video easy to follow and appreciated the modifications based on the trimesters. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will help with labour, delivery and recovery. I just got a postnatal video by Gaiam as well. I'll review that one in a few weeks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love it!! I practiced yoga for almost 8 years before pregnancy, but I still find this DVD very interesting. True, very easy poses, but being pregnant, I don't want and can't do any complex poses anymore, also, doing this DVD is for relaxation, stretching and reduce pain (especially back pain), you just want the right easy poses to fullfill this purposes. (Remember, you are not going after a challenge). Also, this DVD demo poses in 3 different way for 3 trimesters, which you can enjoy thru out your whole pregnancy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Video for all This video was great from beginning to pregnancy all the way through to the third trimester. I didn't think I'd enjoy it this much, but the way the video is organized so that you can start with just the meditation and stretches and jump to either sitting or standing activities is great. The warm-up I found useful to do just about any time of day when I needed to relax and get a bit of energy.
