Everybody's favourite glowing reindeer stars in this stop-motion classic, still staple viewing in many households around Christmas time. Rudolph has trouble fitting in, because all the other little reindeer make fun of his glowing red nose. He and toy-making elf named Hermey - who would rather be a dentist - decide to strike out on their own, running headlong into adventure and making loads of interesting friends along the way. Rudolph decides that he can't run away from his problems after all, and returns to Santa's workshop just in time to save Christmas. never mind the rather dated animation technology, Golden Books - Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is still deservedly a perennial favourite.
