When a criminal family kidnaps a young boy, they set off a gang fight that results in their deaths and the death of the victim. Only the family's youngest son, Vito, escapes -- but not before he snatches the ransom money intended for the hostage's release. While on the run, however, Vito sees the dead boy's parents on TV, begging for his release and offering more money. Touched by their sadness, Vito determines to tell them the truth... if the gang members chasing him don't kill Vito first.
