This spoof of the roaring '20s tells the story of a small-town girl who moves to New York, falls in love with her boss, and becomes "thoroughly modern" in the process. Academy Award Nominations: 7, including Best Supporting Actress--Carol Channing, Best Song ("Thoroughly Modern Millie"). Academy Awards: Best Original Music Score.
