Walt Disney's first feature length cartoon, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs began shooting in the summer of 1935. With music written by Frank Churchill, the movie magically emerged on film and became the first animated picture to receive an Oscar. Composed of classic, culture-entrenched tunes like "Whistle While You Work," sung by Adriana Caselotti and the Dwarf Chorus, Snow White: The Original Soundtrack also features darker songs in keeping with the imminent threat of the witch. With backing from an impressive symphony, the soundtrack is the aural element to an epic story that's rooted in both ancient culture and the history of contemporary times. Digitally remastered, Snow White is more pure, more profound, more vivid than ever before.
