What does Christmas mean to you? Usually a sense of community and joy come to mind. Music often creates this sense for us as A Very Special Christmas 4: Live From Washington D.C. demonstrates. The collaborations on this album are themselves gifts to music fans. R'n'B queen Mary J. Blige and pop songstress Sheryl Crow open the album with a provocative version of "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree." Crow also teams up with Eric Clapton on a rockin' "Merry Christmas Baby," a song Bruce Springsteen has made popular in the past. Other contributors for this special show include Blues Traveller vocalist and harmonica virtuoso John Popper and Tracy Chapman and Run DMC doing a wicked version of "Christmas in Hollis."

Blige and Crow duet on "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," while Bon Jovi performs two lovelorn holiday songs -- "Please Come Home for Christmas" and "Christmas, Baby Please Come Home."
