The case is sturdy and looks good, however, the usb slot is too narrow to allow the cable to be connected to the kobo. In the case of the kobo glo, since the unit is shorter than the kobo touch the kobo glo really slides around and can actually slip out of the retaining cover. Also there is no opening to turn on the kobo glo light.

i have always had a habit of scratching or cracking screens, this protects my eReader when not in use( and fall protection when i am using it) the only down side is the charger doesnt fit in the tiny hole, but i find my UPC (Universal Power Cable) for my phone works just as well, and seeing as how its USB on one end it still allows me to charge or update my eReader

When I first got this I loved it - the kobo fit securely and it was nice and protected. However like others I had problems with getting the charger to fit (it wouldn't) and it was tough to turn it on/off - just not enough room for fingers - ok if I had nails, not ok if I didn't. A quick fix with a xacto knife fixed both of these issues but it really is a design flaw and I hope newer versions will be fixed. Another problem that has recently come up (~4 months of use) is that the Kobo isn't fitting as secure anymore and it tends to slide a bit especially at the top which is just annoying as the Kobo is crooked and then the on/off switch is not in the right spot. Again not a huge problem just annoying.

This case is great. Simple and stylish design and it holds and protects the Kobo perfectly. It's light and easy to hold compared to other cases I looked at which is exactly what I was looking for. As for the USB cable not fitting on the hole at the bottom of the case... well that can be a problem depending on the Kobo you have. The black cable that came with my graphite coloured Kobo doesn't fit but the white UBS cable that came with my griflriend's white and blue Kobo works fine. I guess newer Kobo Touch have to correct cable. For me it's not an issue as I'm using my smartphone's cable which is already connected to my PC.

I have this cover, and I like it alot. However, in buying it on-line their is absolutely no savings. I paid $10.00 for the cover at the actual Chapters store. I would not pay $35.00 for it, let alone $20.00.

I had read a lot of reviews about this case before buying it and I have to agree with what most people say about the hole on the top for the power switch...it could be a little bigger. I can turn it on and off with no trouble, the issue is that I can't see the light changing colour (not a deal breaker though). The one thing that I read about but did not find trouble with is the hole on the bottom for the USB...I think it is just the right size. I have had no trouble fitting my USB cord into the hole. I like the way the front cover folds backwards and it is very comfortable to hold while reading. The Kobo fits perfectly inside and I feel that it is very secure in the case. All in all, this case is great and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I really like the nice snug fit of this cover, but the hole for the on/off switch is too small and restrictive making it really hard to get at. I usually have to take my reader out of the cover just to turn it on or off. I would not recommend.

I bought this for my son. The feel and weight of it is very comfortable, the machine is securely bound and, if the bungie lasts, the whole design is just about perfect for the purpose. The only problem with it, and it's a fairly big one in my opinion, is that the USB connector won't fit through the cover into the machine. My Blackberry has the same connector with a somewhat thinner plastic collar, and it won't go all the way in either. The commenters that don't have that problem lead me to believe kobo changed the design of the hole rather than the size of the usb adapters. Besides that issue, I'd say buy it. In fact, I'm going to go buy another one for myself, but in grey, so I guess the problem's not that big afterall.

Bought the brown one. My main goal is for protection from accidental drops. I feel secure that this cover will meet that goal. I appreciate the fold back cover, It feels comfortable to hold with one hand while reading. Kudos on feel, comfort, and protection. The problems: The hole for USB access is too small. The USB connector that comes with purchase of the Kobo can't fit through this hole. The access for the power switch is too small. It covers the light and makes it difficult to maneuver the switch. I find it helpful to look at the light when powering on the Kobo, so I know how long to hold the switch. Also, the access is too small for people with larger fingers. With extra security comes extra bulk, so the width is a tight fit for my jacket pocket. The frustrating part of all this is that these problems could be eliminated and still not compromise the security I look for. The width could be trimmed by a centimetre and still protect the Kobo Touch. The access holes don't need to be so small. Making extra large holes in the top and bottom would not degrade the integrity of the case. These gripes have merit, but aren't dealbreakers to me because my cover needs to be protective, and I feel certain that this one will protect my Kobo Touch. Plus, I got mine on sale. I wouldn't recommend this product because it doesn't meet enough needs and may be extremely frustrating for some people. I would prefer a narrower cover with better access to the power switch and USB, but at the end of the day, I know that my Kobo Touch is less likely to suffer injury from an accidental drop. I'll use this cover for now, but I hope to find something that will meet more of my needs in the future.

I'm disappointed with this cover. It's quite stiff and with the Kobo in place it doesn't close fully, it gaps open about 1/2 inch. As well, the slot for the power switch doesn't line up quite right and I have to dig away with a fingernail to engage it. That said, I sure do love the Kobo that's inside it :) But I can't recommend this cover.
