    Now what?
    I love my Kobo! Actually I love both my Kobos. Or I did until a couple of days ago. I updated the software, and then tried to SYNC. My screen went white and everything stopped. It won't turn on, or off, and it won't reset. Anyone had this happen, and have a solution?

    Rethink Kobo
    I was going to buy a Kobo for a retirement gift for my son's teacher of 4 years. Now after seeing all these reviews, I'm don't think I'm going to buy one. A couple of my friends have them and have never had a problem. thanks for the reviews.

    TERRIBLE PRODUCT
    I purchased this product just over a year ago. While traveling it became unusable as there are now white and black lines permanently covering the top left corner of my screen. While I understand my product is out of warranty it is unacceptable that very shortly after the warranty ran out it was broken.... While chatting with Kobo support I suggested that this was unacceptable because it is a known issue with Kobo e-readers and the reply i was given was... Yes, i really apologize for this....     Piece of junk
    This e-reader has been a never-ending source of frustration, due to its constant crashing, freezing, and even complete self-erasure. (Always followed, of course, by it's stupid smiley-face restart icon that by now I want to punch in the nose.) Anyway, I just finished ordering a Kindle. Can't wait 'til it gets here. Meanwhile, this Kobo is headed for the landfill.

    AWFUL PRODUCT!!!
    This has to be the worst ereader I have ever used. In fact in the span of a little over a year I have had 2 defective ones. The service department is useless. Save your money and buy a Kindle.

    Disappointed with product and customer service
    Recently my kobo touch (purchased February 2012) froze on the homescreen and I requested help online with a kobo rep. Sent pics and details and tried all of the suggested troubleshooting steps but my kobo touch did not respond. Customer service representative told me that because it's 2 months past the one year warranty date, they could not repair or replace the device. It is not reasonable to spend significant money on books for an e-reader if it stops working within a couple months of a year. Kobo e-readers are not a sound investment. I'm replacing my kobo touch with a kindle and would advise you do the same.

    Screen doesn't respond after 3 uses
    Hi Im wondering if anybody had this problem. I have a kobo reader , I only use on vacation. I only have had it for 18 months. I tried downloading books , the touch is not working.When I touch the screen nothing happens , its not frozen , I can power it on and off. I chatted online with a Kobo rep , they tried to reboot it ....It did not work.II called Kobo customer service and was told , to have it repaired or buy a refurbished one. Really ? buy a refurbished one ? It seems quite expensive , if the kobo was only used 3 times Should i just forget about it throw my kobo in the garbage and buy a Kindle ?

    used to love it
    I'm very sad to report that my once beloved KOBO has now become a disapointment. I have contacted service and have not heard from them (it's been days). Something out of my control happened when KOBO did the last upgrade - 2013 to do with library set-up. After the upgrade my e-reader began to tell me that I had no books. I'd go back to my KOBO desktop, plug in the e-reader... over and over again as soon as I eject my e-reader I get the same response No Books even though I have tons. I've even tried resetting (paper clip, etc). but the reset gets hung up in a loop and now after hours of time invested in this reset and "kobosetup.com" I'm just getting so frustrated I'm looking for a new (not KOBO) e-reader. So disapointing!

    Piece of #*!&
    Funny this is the third time I am writing this response. I am embarrassed to admit I have 3 kobo products in my household. (My wife had to have a mini for her purse) The kobo touch ereaders have become very unresponsive and do not work. I do not believe this to be a hardware problem but an issue with the programming. kobo is trying really hard to advertise to the users that have their product instead of providing a stable, easy to use product and let the users advertise for them. I would not recommend any kobo product to anyone based on my own personal experience and many others documented kobo customer care experiences. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR E-READER HARDWARE. kobo does not care about their product and neither should you. I haven't even began to talk about the lies on the packaging about the amount of storage space. They tell you it holds up to 1000 books but that is a lie since when it gets that many books it takes over 1 hour just to turn on. It is entirely too bad that I can not rate this product 0 out of 5 since this product now has no redeeming quality and can not be used. Regards,

    Very Frustratiing
    I had my Kobo wifi for about 9 mths before it stopped working completely. Before that I had to reset it from time to time. Sometimes it would be freeze and I would have to wait for the battery to die and then once charging it was fine. It took dozens of emails to kobo customer care and a long time to get it replaced. It was replaced with a refurbished one and 10 mths later the battery is dead. I am extremely annoyed with this product.
