    I've purchased probably 10 or more of these electronic gift cards in the $25 & $50 denominations and multiples thereof, going back at least a few years. I've not only never had a problem, Chapters has never missed a delivery date. They're great as a last-minute gift, or when mailing a package is too problematic.     At first I thought this was a great gift idea; I could avoid shipping costs of a gift card and not worry about whether or not the card would get there on time. The gift certificate is electronic, so it is immediate. Doesn't that sound perfect? Not to the recipient! I sent this to my niece who loves to shop in the store. The gift certificate was not acceptable in the store, it was only for on-line purchases. I did not see that in the description of the gift certificate before I purchased it and… + read more

    TERRIBLE PROBLEMS RELOADING GIFT CARD 1

    INSTRUCTIONS CONFUSING,NUMBER IS ABOVE BAR CODE NOT BELOW WHICH MAKES ONE SUSPICIOUS TO BEGIN AND THEN EVEN FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER WILL NOT TRANSFER TO CARD. WILL NEVER ACCEPT GIFT CERTIFICATE TO BE PUT ONLINE TO CHAPTERS AGAIN AND OFFERED HUNDREDS IN MY WORK. TRIED THIS TIME AND DEFINITELY THE LAST

    I emailed customer service. They will get back to me "within 24 hours". I discovered on line that my order has been "shipped in full". But I do not have the gift certificate in an email as promised. What do I do now? Wait? How long? When it arrives I will update this site.

    The Worst Service EVER!!! Hasn't Improved in over 10 Years!! 1

    A simple Online Gift Certificate has caused so much stress. The "6 hour email" has not arrived. Going on 12 hrs. The email I did receive indicates the Gift Certificate was shipped to an address in Brampton I never heard of. Several phone calls later I am told it's a "dummy address" cuz the Gift Certifiicate is electronic, not being shipped. How am I supposed to know that? Customer Service explains this very poor communicate but can not help because wife's name is on the order not mine… + read more
