The Irewards card is not for everyone. However if you are an avid reader or have a large family it will likely save you money. You need to be spending $20-25 a month in store (2 mass markets or 1 hardcover) for you to break even. When you purchase or renew in-store you get a booklet of coupons for $5 off a purchase of $35 or more. There are also select events throughout the year (such as the recent family and friends event) with the opportunity to save more (25% in the above-mentioned promotion). Considering Indigo almost has a monopoly of the bookstores in Canada there are few other bookstores except Walmart and the grocery stores (which have less selection) in which to spend your money, so I would hesitate to call it a loyalty card. But again it is only worth it if you read a lot.
