I have bought many booklights for both my e-readers and regular books but this light, by far, is the best. The 6 LED lights gives great full-page lighting coverage and the dimmer switch is a nice added feature. Another nice feature is that is uses AAA batteries. Highly recommended.

OK, this is somewhat expensive for a booklight but I bought two. Why? It is because sometimes I like taking pictures of small objects and this is a perfect lighting tool for taking closeup shots of objects that need some light for details. I bought two so I can have individual lights on either sides of the object, or have one as a backlight. The brightness intensity control is a continous rotary control-dial with a power switch just like the traditional handheld radio's volume control instead of a conventional step-switch with just Hi-Lo settings. Such continous brightness control is not found on most other booklights, but it is very useful for my application since I can then control the illumination with precisely the right amount of light I need. With the long flexible neck and with individual settings on the two booklights, I can have different brightness compensations for illumination at different angles. Of course it is useful and eye-friendly for reading books too since the brightness can be adjusted to the feasible confort level easily with that brightness intensity control and flexible neck. Besides, the battery compartment is well-designed to double itself as a lampstand on the desk although it can also be clipped to books and bookstands. Last but not least is that it uses the conventional AAA batteries instead of the more expensive lithium button batteries like most other booklights do, and the batteries are included.
