I've almost filled mine up and the binding has held up really well over 2 years, it's still snug and sleek looking. The paper is thin enough to see marker and the shadows of writing through, but still high quality enough to write on both sides without making it hard to read. I've painted and drawn in mine as well.

This is the perfect size book! It's small enough to take around everywhere, but large enough to write in. I have found over the years of buying journals, and notebooks that I needed something that isn't to large so I could carry it around with me everyday. The quality of the paper is great, and it has a pocket in the inside back cover for your convenience. It is kept close by a band so if you put anything inside it doesn't fall out. Honestly, I use these books for everything. Journals, exercise trackers, recipes, notes, etc... I give it 5 out of 5! And I hope they continue to make this product.
