I like most in the reviews will not be purchasing a irewards card because of the increase in price. What is the reason behind this anyway? I also will be shopping elsewhere.

    Extremely Disappointed

I read some reviews before purchasing a new Chapters/Indigo Rewards card, and I'm glad I did. I have purchased one for approx. 10 years now. I received a Kobo for Christmas and have been reading approx. 50 to over 100 or more books a year. It is very upsetting that the card has gone up $10.00, plus you only get 5% off instead of 10% per book. I signed up for a free Plum Rewards card for free (5%) off per book. I hope thus new card will work for the books I order. I personally feel Chapters/Indigo are just getting greedy. I hope people will stop purchasing the cards. Then maybe they will get the message....then again, maybe not. I thank anyone who reads this and wish them lots of wonderful reading hours :)

    Pay to shop?

    Brenda Dewitt

Since 2004 I have purchased my irewards card every year, I spend approximately $1000 a year at chapters in books. I'm at the end of my rope with having to pay some business just to shop at their business, hence why I would never go to cosco. At $35 for a membership I think my business with chapters has come to an end. Why would I want to keep paying for the honor to shop there when I can order online from Amazon and get the books even cheaper then when I did have my irewards card. You would think that Chapters would really rewards their good customers with giving them the card for free?? Sorry chapters but you've soured me with the increase.

I just renewed my iRewards card. The clerk didn't even inform me the price had gone up. Looked at my receipt when I got home. Then I thought she forgot to give me my bonus coupon book, which I get each year. Low and behold they have raised the price and stopped the coupon booklet. Very disappointed. I give Chapters ALLOT of business. Will start looking elsewhere.
