irewards™ Program Terms & Conditions
Effective April 4, 2011
Benefits
Annual membership in the irewards program entitles members to the following benefits:
Benefits In-Store:
- 40% discount on the list price of select English Bestsellers and 30% off select French Bestsellers at Chapters, Indigo, Indigospirit, Coles, SmithBooks, World's Biggest Bookstore and The Book Company stores in Canada. The discount applies to select books listed on Indigo’s Bestseller list, as determined by Indigo Books & Music Inc. e-Books purchased in store are excluded.
- 10% discount on the sale price of books and audio books at Chapters, Indigo, Indigospirit, Coles, SmithBooks, World's Biggest Bookstore and The Book Company stores in Canada except during select promotional periods. The 10% discount is applied after all other eligible discounts and deductions have been applied. e-Books purchased in store are excluded.
- 5% discount on the sale price of eligible items at Chapters, Indigo, Indigospirit, Coles, SmithBooks, World’s Biggest Bookstore and The Book Company stores in Canada except during select promotional periods. The 5% discount is applied after all other eligible discounts and deductions have been applied. For full list of products excluded from the 5% discount please see In-store benefits exclusions.
Benefits Online:
- Current member discount of 5% on books and audio books (except e-Books, used and out-of-print books) at chapters.indigo.ca.
- Effective April 4, 2012, members will save up to 5% on books and audio books (except e-Books, used and out-of-print books) at chapters.indigo.ca. Member pricing will be indicated.
Membership Fee
The annual membership fee may vary by province and between online and in store. Teachers and seniors are eligible for a discounted membership. Teacher/senior memberships can be purchased in-store only with appropriate identification. Teachers are defined as home-schooling, early childhood educators, pre-school, elementary, junior high, high school, and college teachers and university professors. Seniors are defined as 65 years or more. Membership fees are non-refundable.
Conditions
- irewards membership is individual and non-transferable. Breach of this condition may result in membership suspension and/or termination.
- Valid irewards card must be presented at time of purchase to receive discount and other benefits.
- irewards discount may not be valid with any other offer. See each offer for details (e.g. everyday discounts, promotions, seasonal sales, etc.).
- Unless explicitly stated irewards discount does not apply in conjunction with any coupons or with any corporate or prearranged group discounts such as the following: employee, educator, corporate, institutional, and volume discounts.
- Full name and a valid email address are required to advise you of any modification(s) to the irewards program as well as provide you with services related to your irewards membership and send you renewal notices. If you do not have a valid email address, you must provide a valid mailing address. You must advise us immediately of any changes to your contact information. To update account information, members can speak to in-store customer service representatives, email irewards@indigo.ca or call 1-877-702-6657. Indigo shall not be liable for misdirected email or mail communications, including any notices under these Terms & Conditions or any consequences thereof where your contact information is inaccurate or no longer valid.

Privacy
All membership information will be used solely by Indigo Books & Music Inc. and will not be sold or rented to any other organization. All member information will be subject to the Indigo Books & Music Inc. Privacy Policy as amended from time to time in accordance with its terms. Program Changes and/or Cancellation
From time to time, Indigo may restrict, suspend, amend or otherwise alter aspects of the irewards program. Any material changes to these terms & conditions will be posted online and may also be emailed directly and/or made available in store upon request. In the case of Quebec members, 30 days advance notice will be provided by email showing the upcoming changes, the effective date of the changes and your right to terminate membership at no cost or penalty. Material changes include changes to the program benefits.
