Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I always wanted a burglar alarm in my room! When was the last time you read a science mystery book? My bet is never. In Steve Hockensmith’s new book “Nick and Tesla’s High Voltage Danger Lab,” Nick and Tesla are in for the adventure of their lives when they go to visit their uncle for the summer. After accidently launching a rocket into the yard of an abandoned house and finding a mysterious girl in the upstairs window, the kids start to get curious and each question leads to another. The kids use science and great detective work to uncover the startling truth. I liked this book because it taught me how to do real experiments in the story. You get to make things like bottle rocket launcher and burglar alarms. I always wanted a burglar alarm in my room to keep my sister out! It’s neat how Nick and Tesla used science to solve the mystery and made science fun and interesting to learn for the reader. The story was really suspenseful and even the ending surprised me. You don’t need to love science to love this book. Anyone that likes a good mystery book will really like this. How many experiments from the book will you try?
