HARPERCOLLINS PUBLISHERS | April 7, 2014 | Hardcover

School For Good And Evil #2 is rated 5 out of 5 by 1.

In the epic sequel to the New York Times bestselling novel The School for Good and Evil, Sophie and Agatha are home, living out their Ever After. But life isn''t quite the fairy tale they expected.

When Agatha secretly wishes she''d chosen a different happy ending, she reopens the gates to the School for Good and Evil. But the world she and Sophie once knew has changed.

Witches and princesses, warlocks and princes are no longer enemies. New bonds are forming; old bonds are being shattered. But underneath this uneasy arrangement, a war is brewing and a dangerous enemy rises. As Agatha and Sophie battle to restore peace, an unexpected threat could destroy everything, and everyone, they love-and this time, it comes from within.

Soman Chainani has created a spectacular world that Newbery Honor-winning author Ann M. Martin calls "a fairy tale like no other, complete with romance, magic, and humor that will keep you turning pages until the end."

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing story and artwork I couldn't wait for this book to be released after I read the first book, The School of Good and Evil! When I found out my local library was getting a copy I was first to add myself to the waiting list! Lucky for me this book came in just before I went on vacation (to DisneyWorld no less!). This book did not disappoint! We start off essentially where we left off. Agatha and Sophie are back home trying to live out their normals lives. Wishes ensue and the rest of the story happens. I didn't want to put this book down! The characters are written lovely, with growth and depth. When new characters are introduced they had a purpose and the build on the story. Traditional thoughts and fairytales are thrown on the window again in this story, and it was a welcome change. If you read the first book you were introduced to a non-traditional story, well again Soman Chainani changes things up again so you're not sure what to expect. The artwork throughout the book is gorgious! I looked forward to the beginning of each chapter just to see the picture. Each picture is perfectly created for each chapter, telling us what will happen without teling us - you'll have to pick up the book to understand exactly what I'm meaning. The cover art, once again is amazing! Maybe once this series ends I'll buy the set! Speaking of endings, once again it leaves it open. I'm sad about this simply because I want to keep reading and I'll now have to wait AGAIN for the next book. Can you hear the sadness through the writing??? I really enjoyed this book and I'm now dreading the next book I read - total book hangover!
