In this classic children''s book, a girl wakes up in the middle of the night and wants some cake. But to reach the refrigerator, she has to tiptoe past a host of sleeping dragons, like Priscilla in her pink pantaloons, the punk rock dragon Fagan with spiky green hair, and Beelzebub (who sleeps in the tub). When she stubs her toe, the dragons wake up, and she has to think fast to befriend the dragons.
An award-winning bestseller first published in 1989, Sleeping Dragons All Around is back to spark the imaginations of a whole new generation. Rated 5 out of 5 by from SHHHHhhhh. This is so much fun I love Sheree Fitch and when I bought this for my 18 month old niece I thought she was probably a little young. She is for some of it, but we read the book about a dozen times in the first day and now all it takes is "Shhh. SHHHhhh" to make her smile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deeee-lightful! I have been trying to find this book for years! My public school librarian read it when I was really young and it's been in my head ever since! (About 18 years...) It is so well written. You can't help moving and using lots of voice inflection when you read this kind of poetry. 5 stars! You need this book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from magical This has been a family favourite for many years and as a teacher, I've never had less than rave reviews from students. In Sheree Fitch's words - it's "utterature" - literature that begs to be read aloud to enjoy the play of word and sound found on every page. The characters brim with personality and the story is captivating - absolutely one of the top ten children's books of all time!
