Rated 4 out of 5 by from 20th Century Children's Book Treasury- A Keeper This anthology of children’s literature is a great addition to any library. With over 40 books ranging in not only difficulty, but publication date as well, this is a perfect book for all children. There is a foreword written by the collection’s selector, Janet Schulman, outlining the colour coded scheme for the difficulty of each story, and who they are best suited for. In the newer editions, there is a complete “New Books Too Good to Miss” section with selections that were published after her selections were made. Some of her selections are classics like Madeline and Where the Wild Things Are, and adults can rediscover their love for these stories and get as much enjoyment out of this collection as children.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for teachers and for your children too! I absolutely loved reading this book. It is full of countless stories that I remember reading when I was a child. It includes: The Sneetches, The Snowy Day, Goodnight Moon, The Stinky Cheese Man, Miss. Nelson is Missing!, and so many more. I was required to get this book for a children's literature class for school. It looked like it would be pretty useful so I went along and bought it. Soon after, I found myself wanting to find programming ideas based around these stories just so I could use the book! It is a great resource to have in your children's book library. Whether it is for you to use as a teacher or for you to have for yourself to read to your children, it's a great read. :) Also, it is great for storage as well. Could you imagine having ALL of these books on your shelf when you could just have it all compact into one? It's great to have such a wonderful resource at my hands on a day-to-day basis. Go ahead, buy it! It's super cheap for how many books you are getting and you will not regret it. Feel free to send me a message if you want any more information on the book.
