Though the Greek and Roman crewmembers of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen-all of them-and they're stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens. She needs their blood-the blood of Olympus-in order to wake.

The demigods are having more frequent visions of a terrible battle at Camp Half-Blood. The Roman legion from Camp Jupiter, led by Octavian, is almost within striking distance. Though it is tempting to take the Athena Parthenos to Athens to use as a secret weapon, the friends know that the huge statue belongs back on Long Island, where it might be able to stop a war between the two camps.

The Athena Parthenos will go west; the Argo II will go east. The gods, still suffering from multiple personality disorder, are useless. How can a handful of young demigods hope to persevere against Gaea's army of powerful giants? As dangerous as it is to head to Athens, they have no other option. They have sacrificed too much already. And if Gaea wakes, it is game over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome It's totaly Awsome and the best book ever

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Grand Finale I bought it as soon as it was available, read it through again and again. I offered to lend it to some friends, I haven't got it back yet! I thought their would be more killing involved, but their wasn't even half as much as I had guessed. This is a very satisfying ending to the series, but would (I suppose) disappoint those who assumed that Riordan would kill off more characters. I greatly enjoyed it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from NICO ! I loved the fact that Nico had a point of view and it was probably the best part about this book. Overall the whole thing was really well done although there are some loose ends it ended nicely. I thought it would be like the Last Olympian where everyone died so this was a nice surprise. I'm pretty sure that was the last book with Percy and all of them but it would be great to have more books because this one didn't really feel like it ended which I didn't like and I also didn't like that some of the characters seemed to be acting not like themselves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really suspenseful events, but a pretty predictable ending This book was really awesome and all, but, Rick made all the characters live in the end, which kind of ruins the book, cause you wanted some kind of sadness in the end. All in all, it's a pretty good book that's worth reading.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could Be Better One would think that the end of this fun series would be a satisfying one, however I must say Blood of Olympus did not deliver. It was not enjoyable compared to the rest of the series. There was no climax either and the story felt rushed. On a positive note, Reyna and Nico were very enjoyable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The End of the End. (Could Have Been Better.) I pre-ordered this book, and I was so excited when it arrived. The thing I didn't like though, was that the store put a big Indigo sticker on the cover! It took me half an hour to peal that thing off! Anyway, I LOVED Reyna's, Nico's and Hodge's story. It was so detailed and full of adventure. The other's story? Not so much. I just wish the ending could have been a little more detailed. Everything was more mentioned, than explained. I give this book 4 stars! One star because it's part of the series, two stars for the Reyna and Nico's hug, and one star for Hodge's baby.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty good, but definitely could have been better. I bought this on the day it came out, excited and sad for the conclusion to this amazing series. The thing is, I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The last quarter of the book sounded very rushed and the ending is not something that you hope for. But the book was good, just not spectacular like I'm used to expecting from Rick Riordan.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thrilling end to Camp Half-Blood Awesome end to the Percy Jackson Camp Half-Blood Series. Not the best book in the HoO but very a good read. But I still cannot believe that in the ending to Percy Jackson's story, rick Riordan did not include Percy's point of view. Rick could have left Nico out and put Percy in. I know Nico's perspective was important, but riordan could have wrote another book stating his perspective right from the 1940's to Camp Jupiter and the Argo II, just to keep the Camp Half-Blood Series alive. Sone people started reading about Camp Half-Blood from The Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero. I started from the.Lightning Thief. So I just wish Riordan continues The Camp Half-Blood Series and the Kane Chronicles and keeps them going...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great end to the series! I was nervous about how the author would end the series but this was an amazing read. I finished it in 7 hours with no breaks, I just couldn't put it down. It gave closure without nailing the coffin shut. I especially loved reading pov's from the characters that didn't have any until now, it was quite refreshing. I will miss these characters very much and would like to hear more about them but Im still pretty satisfied in the end

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect finale to the Heroes of Olympus I managed to get my hands on this book yesterday and I finished it in ONE DAY! I could not be more thrilled with how Rick finished HoO. I won't spoil anything but it was certainly a breath of fresh air to hear from perspectives outside of the Seven. I hope you all enjoy this great read as much as I did!
