Rated 4 out of 5 by from One point twenty one jigawatts!!! well first off... there was never any doubt that i would purchase this set. as soon as i saw it i knew the price was very reasonable to get a delorean! ordered one for myself and one for my brother (birthday present). getting a marty mcfly with the "life preserver" and the crazy ol' doc brown was like a dream come true. as mentioned in other reviews... the doors are a little flimsy and not quite up to the standards i would expect. it is very awkward to fit them both in the car too... but really not a big deal. i would have paid handsomely if there was the iconic yellow radiation suit and helmet included but now i can have fun trying to make my own i guess! this was my first lego set in a very long time. i've been building duplo and friends with the kids but this was the first one for ME and it totally unlocked the lego obsession that has been brewing since childhood. i can't wait for the delorean to pull up to the new palace theatre i just ordered! the wheels folding up and down is one of the great marvels of this set. fascinating how they do it. love the licence plates and skateboard / hoverboard. might have to find a little doggie to fill in for einstein. someday i would love to build the clock tower scene to go along with this. if you are a long time BTTF fan and are even remotely interested in this... don't wait too much longer! i seriously doubt you can go wrong by owning this set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I saw many Lego Youtube videos they all said it was a great set and I agree with them a fan of Back to the Future fan and Lego It was a fun set but if you are a younger fan buying this set it is not very strong at the doors so be carefull with that but over all it was amazing set

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Roads, We don't need roads... I received this set as a gift for my Birthday in December as BTTF is my favourite Film of all time. This is a replica of the DeLorean from film. Pros: It looks great to display Great Building Experience You can change it to represent BTTF, BTTF2 and BTTF3 Has exclusive Marty and Doc Brown Minifigs. Cons: Doors and Wheels fall off easily You cannot fit Marty and Doc in the DeLorean at the same time. The bonnet is oddly designed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Scott! If anyone wanted to build a time machine using parts they're already familiar with, then this LEGO Back to the Future Delorean Set is just for them. The set is more than I imagined when I built it and giving me the ability to add or change parts to make the Delorean from either Parts 1, 2, and 3 is more enjoyable for any BTTF fan. Definitely a recommended purchase for fans present and yet to come.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good build, bad details This set is better for fans of BTTF or heavy customizers, as for anyone else it could look like a jumble of bricks and plates with a flux capacitor. It is very easy to customize your own version utilizing the printed pieces. Using the same techniques, making it longer gives the car way better proportions, while giving the much needed details. The original set looks fine, but the lack of detail everywhere kind of kills it as it just isn't very recognizable. It does have printed parts though!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great but I don't like how only 1 can fit in the car and, I don't like how some of the stuff is inaccurate to the movie like the weird pipes on the side of the car weren't on the car in the movie, and how inside of it the time display is missing the ''last time departed'' it only has present time and destination time. so please [if you make a new release of this] fix these problems I am a big LEGO and, Back To The Future SUPER FAN. I love this set

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Brick to the Future I got this set for Christmas last year, naturally, built it immediately. While it is a great set to own and display, there are a few issues that I have with it. It is excessively blocky, yes, this is Lego. But the original Cuusoo model had a different front end design, one using a large slope piece that I think the official version could have benefited greatly from. Another issue is that the doors tend to come off rather easily and the front "window" bar pieces enjoy breaking, although these issues are more minor to me since I don't play with it and simply display it on my shelf. Now that I have that out of the way, I can tell you that everything else about this is pretty much perfect. Besides the misspelling of 'shield' on the Flux Capacitor. The minifigures are absolutely amazing, the printing looks just like Micheal J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd do in the movie and the inclusion of the skateboard was a nice touch. The detailing on the car is grand and the inclusion of extra pieces to create the different variations of the DeLorean is awesome, although the folding wheels do stick out somewhat the action itself is done very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review to the future I really enjoyed this product! The quality of the figs is great, and the set really looks like the Delorean. I don't care for the red wheels, from the third film, not having tires. This doesn't encourage me to take the tires off the existing wheels and put them on. However, this is a great buy and I've recommended this to my best friend. I'm looking forward to further lego creator sets. Hoping a Tardis, or a 221B Baker street is on its way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Scott! When my dad got the BTTF DVDs for his birthday, I remembered this set. And it was really good. As you'll know, you can modify it to match all 3 movies. It comes with Marty and Doc. Marty has a skateboard, and even though this isn't an official part of the set, you can take off the wheels to make it a hoverboard. There are still the wheel sockets, but that's a small snag. The DeLorean is amazingly accurate. You'll notice that the time panel reads 1-28-1958. They never went back then in the movies, but that was the date the modern Lego brick was invented (although 1955 was when it first went into development...). There's even the Flux Capacitor! It's kind of hard to fit the minifigs-especially Doc-but with a fair amout of fiddling, it can be done. Although it doesn't have any new piece molds, and half the time it seems like the build is 1x1 tiles stacked on each other, but it more than cuts it. When you switch out the licence plates, you'll have to take out the whole rear bumper. Not that I mind. There's a brrickseperater to help you take off a piece so you can put the circuit board on there. I'm not sure how to explain it, but when you actually get this set, you'll get it. Several other reviews say that lots of parts fall off easily. They're right, but mine held together all right as long as I was gentle with it. It goes without saying that it's probably best not to let a 2-year-old play with it. When you swap out wheel rims, you have to take off the tires and put them on the other rims. You get a set of 4 tires, a set of 4 gray rims, and a set of 4 red rims, if that makes any sense. pros: good minifigs(Marty even has a life preserver!:P) accurate to the movies can modify as the movies follow really not as delicate as most reviews suggest zero stickers(I personally am okay with stickers but not everyone is) cons: there are a few mildly delicate parts maybe could've had Clara or Jennifer or Biff people who've never seen BTTF surely won't care for this set Overall, this is an excellent set! Parts of it may be a bit fragile, but it's good to display(one of these days I should set it up on my dresser or something). The box is reusable. And BTTF fans will not be disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doors on it are useless Cons. Doors on it are useless as they are very hard not for parts to fall off, and gives No real looking / like or feeling of the actual doors it is ment to have i love that car in that movie but seriously this Lego version could had been a Lot More Acurate to the actual look / feel and functioniality to play with, like for starters better doors and no peices falling off that easy pros. you can make into any 3 of the versions of that car thou it really is Only still is a very faint reminder of it, this is the only reason id recomend it to a friend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy...... Ok...I'm a "lapsed" LEGO fan, being bereft of funds for so long has necessitated it.... This is the first "Major" LEGO purchase I've made in many years.... and to say I was not disappointed would be an understatement. The model was easy enough to put together, the only REAL issue being step 37 where I misread a picture making bumper attachment impossible until fixed. I finished in approximately 2 hours, and I'd say it looks quite nice and now my only REAL issue is deciding which version of the vehicle to display. Pros: Accurate, looks cool, Doesn't need Roads. Cons: Much like a real Delorean the Gullwing doors are kinda finicky.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pop Culture Meets LEGO I'm yet to sit through any of the "Back To The Future" movies, but felt compelled to buy this set - it just looks so cool. The packaging is brilliant, and the instruction booklet that comes with this set is fantastic too. It provides background on the project and highlights some really cool features of the set relating to the movie. The set took a couple of hours to build, but was completed at a leisurely pace. Instructions were clear, however at times the colour printing can be hard to distinguish between similar colour bricks (dark grey and black for example). However this is no different to any other set. My only criticism of the set is that it can be a little fiddly (especially the piping that attaches to the outsides of the car). I'm not one to use hobby glue on my LEGO sets, and therefore, had to be gentle with the model. For people building this set for their children, this could become an issue. Overall, a brilliant LEGO set. Very happy with the finished product. It sits proudly on display in my cabinet - complete with well recreated minifigures!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hmm, bit poor Lego! My wife bought this for me as a gift, I have to say it would not have been my first choice but no matter, I have built plenty of nice kits, for some reason this kit was just little fun to build. Anyway once but it falls apart in the blink of an eye and Marty & Doc don't even fit inside! A poor kit I think.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great set, but mini-figs don't fit! Love this set, but was really surprised to find that after assembling the car, you can't fit the mini-figs into it unless you take off their hair (which seems a bit extreme!). Never experienced such an obvious design flaw from a LEGO set before! I asked a few others with the set if they had the same experience and they all said, yep, their figs don't fit either (I also noticed there are no photos of the figs in the car on the box or in the booklet either, which is suggestive to me that they really DON'T fit in there -- it's not just that I made an error during the build). I can easily modify it to make them fit with a few extra pieces to lift the roof, but still -- this seems like a pretty careless error in design! Going to be pretty hard for Doc to operate the Flux Capacitor from the ROOF!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, but you should know... I bought this set at the same time it launched and have had the model sat on my desk every since. With most Lego sets I'll build them, disassemble and then put the pieces in a big box. But this one is something you could quite gladly put on display. Like the rest of the reviews have stated there are a couple of areas where the design of the model means pieces can fall off quite easily. In particular the retractable doors can snap off in use and the two black handles at the front on either side of the bonnet can easily get knocked off. While it would be a problem, it is an unavoidable problem of the car's design. I'd personally rather have those additions there - since they highlight the model's attention to detail, which is why it is such a good set - and be aware of those problems than see it as a true criticism. And as I say, since it spends most of the time just sitting there impressing people that see it (even non-Lego fans can appreciate the reference) I don't need to worry too much about bits falling off. Great set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Kit I love the flexibility of this kit to allow you to build all three versions of the famed Delorean. My only complaint is that you can't securely seat both mini figs in the car at the same time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's the DeLorean Hi i would like to give you a full review of this product! 1. If you are a fan of the Back To The Future (BTTF) movies you will love this set it looks a lot like a small scale of the DeLorean. 2. Was it easy to build? It was fairly easy to build as a Lego builder who builds more advance sets this was pretty cool. It only took me like an hour and a half and that was while I was almost asleep on Christmas. 3. Will it break if played with? The biggest probable I had while playing with it was two frame works for the windows on the hood and even those can be fixed with a little Kragul.(If you want to do that) 4. How does it hold up to the movies? Well as I said before it does look a lot like the DeLorean from the first film but, it also included a very easy way to transfer it with the Mr. Fusion, the engine from Part II and III, and the red rims from the Part III. The biggest probable with it holding up wasn't anything they left out it was that they only gave you four tires for eight rims. 5. How did the Mini-Figures look? OMG Marty McFly and Doc Brown Mini-Figures looked so frigging awesome. Marty is in his 1985 clothes Doc Brown is in his white jump suit. Also it included Marty's purple skate board which is awesome. All in all I give this product 4.5/5 Gold Lego Bricks and suggest it to any fan of the series. I hope this helped answer any of the questions that you have bye.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best sets This is a very cool model of the Delorean Time Machine. One of my best models ever. The model and the mini figures look similar to the ones in the original film. The time machine has very nice features, such as the doors that open upwards, pipes, and you actually build some parts in several ways.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Set for BTTF I am a huge Back to the Future fan, and have been playing with Legos since I was four. With that said, when this set was released I had to have it. It uses some unique designs to build the base of the vehicle. Lots of small pieces to keep track of. It was fun building it from the ground up and I like the design of the swing out doors. The vehicle does fit both Marty and Doc. Also, being able to "customize" it for any of the three movies is a nice touch. In particular reading the notes and information about the trilogy was interesting. This set is perfect for any Back to the Future fan.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Built And Heaps Of Fun To Improve I have always been a fan of "Back To The Future" so it didn't take me long to make up my mind as this cool little set appeared here on the Lego website. Here is what I think about the model ... Pros: - The Minifigures are great, both look as close as you can get to the real deal. - No Stickers! All parts have prints on them which is great. - Very playable and fun since it is possible to build the set according to all three movies - Lot's of details cramped into a minifigure scaled car. Cons: - Some bits like to fall all the time when touching it - Would have been great if it would actually fit on LEGO rails (it is not really possible to make the set any smaller thou) I don't think it would be fair to complain about certain design aspects since it is such a small set and space is very limited. All I can say about that is that I already saw a few improvements in other reviews here and I also started improving the design of the front as soon as I finished building the set. For me thats part of the fun about this set .....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You built a Lego set...out of a Delorean!! I was pretty ecstatic when I realised that Lego had put this forward from CUSOO. The set doesn't disappoint - the attention to detail is fantastic (e.g. 'outatime' reg. plate) - I found myself watching the film after completing the build to check certain aspects. It can be adapted to look like each of the three incarnations of the Delorean (BTTF, BTTF2 and BTTF3) - complete with Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor!! Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great piece one of my great pieces. it's really detailed in terms of exterior and interior, the doors are able to move and the two people can actually sit on the spot. It has 4 additional red wheels which can be changed from original grey wheels. It also includes clear support pieces in order to hold up the car when the wheels are flipped inside. I would also recommend this to people who are not also fan of the movie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lego model This is a great model that any fan of the movies should buy. It is the luittle touches that make this brilliant, like changinf the little things on it so it replicates the Delorean used in all 3 movies. If you look inside there is a flux capacitor at the back and the time circuits on the dash

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great set for any Back to the Future fan! Awesome product for any Back to the Future fan! I remember playing with Lego bricks as a kid and for them to have a set that has to deal with my favorite movie of all time I just had to have this. the box seems more top quality then your regular Lego play set box and the instruction booklet even has the same high quality feel with a bit of trivia and history about the movies thrown in before the building instructions. I'd recommend this to people looking to have this as a collection piece, probably have it only for display. As a toy to be played with its a bit flimsy in some parts of the car. the doors can easily come off and pieces can go flying if your not careful when trying to switch the wheels out. As for the design of the car the mini figures don't really fit inside without any modifications. And personally I'd like to see some form of the blue glowing coils from the movie, but that's just me. with all being said I recommend it to collectors planning to just display the car because your bound to lose pieces if you do more with it than just that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Purchase For My Money I overall was completely pleased with this Lego set. All of the other reviews are not really looking on the bright side of the set. The characters are great, all though, I wish they had a minifigure version of doc and marty from each movie. The set is great including the flux capacitor, the Outta Time license plate, and the control panel. The car even flies! Overall, I give it a 10/10. Great set, keep up the good work Togami, and I hope to see more of the Back To The Future Lego set line.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DeLorean? LEGO have made excellent replicas of Ferraries and Lamborghinies in the past. If one have seen an DeLorean sportscar, either on pictures or in one of the BTTF movies, you would not guess it was a Delorean. Very poorly designgimmick. For children to play with only ;-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great nostalgia value A really high-quality LEGO product. I was really impressed with the detail on the model and the option to modify the Delorian for the different films. It was really enjoyable to make with lots of fiddly details and several movable parts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Set I saw this set a while ago on Lego Cuusoo and had wanted it since then. When I did get it I was not disappointed. It took me around 30 minutes to build the set, and some of the build was a bit challenging. The instruction booklet had different binding and had pictures and stats from the movies. I liked how all three movies were included and the modifications were built in sections that could be easily changed. I didn't like that the red wheels from BTTF III didn't have their own tyres and had to share tyres from the grey wheels (from BTTF I and II). I have read a lot of Lego product reviews by people who dislike stickers. This set has no stickers at all and all the detailed parts have printing on them. Some parts of the set can be a bit fiddly, like the doors and windscreen and tubes on the side, but they don't fall off much if you are careful. The minifigures don't both fit very well together in the car, but will if you remove the roof and adjust the passengers arm. I liked the minifigure details and reversible heads and if you take the wheels off Marty's skateboard it looks like it is a hover board. The clear bricks give a great flying effect to the car and the board.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We Have to go Back... Back to the LEGO Store! Ok, so this is definitely a set you should buy. This should be a short review since the set consists of not that much stuff, but if you really just wanna know if you should buy this set than just go to my Final Verdict section to see my general opinion. I will however say right away that if you don't like BTTF, or at least time travel in general, and aren't a collector, you probably won't like this set. Even if you fit in that category though, you should still check out my Final Verdict section just in case. But if you want specifics, than lets get right to the review: Minifigures: Mary McFly: This is a really cool minifigure. It has the infamous Mutt Hair but it fits the minifigure. I would have prefered a brown version of Luke Skywalker's hair, but I could say that about a lot of LEGOs and that isn't a big deal in this case. The front and back printing are all very cool, and very detailed. He has a scared face and a happy face, and comes with a purple skateboard. Most people assume its supposed to be the hoverboard from the second movie but its the wrong color and it has wheels so I think its just a regular skateboard. Doc Brown: Great Scott! This is a very awesome minifigure. The hair, thought used for a lot of things nowadays, is perfect, and the perfect color. He has his famous radiation suit, which is great looking, and like Marty has a happy face and a scared face. Set: De'Lorean: This is a really awesome looking car. The gull wing doors work perfectly, and though it takes some ingenuity, it isn't too hard to get guys inside. Some pieces come off the set sometimes, but it isn't anything too major or annoying. Its very fun to play with, and can transform into the car from BTTF 1, 2, and 3. The transition from V1 to V2 is simple. Turn the wheels, change the license plate, and add the Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor, or as I like to call it, the MFHER (pronounced Mm, Ff, Her). However the transition from V1 or V2 to V3 is a pain in the neck, and every other body part. You have to change the wheels from grey to red, and getting them off is a pain. They are connected with a tan Technic piece, and its almost impossible to get off without taking the Technic piece with it. Then you have to put the grey wheels somewhere you won't lose them (after taking off the tires too) and replace them with the red wheels. Put on the tires and put it back on the car. Then you take off one of the smooth pieces on the hood, and put it the same place you put the tires where you won't lose them, and put the orange engine on. And there you go. Ok, its not the easiest task, but its not that bad right? Wrong. If your like me, you'll probably end up doing that a lot, and the fact that its such a pain makes that, well, a pain. However if you are nothing like me this won't be nearly as annoying. The other thing people complain about is that pieces come off easily, which I already adressed, and that its so different from the original CUUSOO project and they like the original better. I disagree completely. This version has more detail, looks more realistic, and is more functional. I think its a very big improvement, but again that's just me. I never saw the original until after I saw this version so maybe that's why my opinion is different. Or maybe its the other way around, and the fact that I had something to compare the old one to BEFORE I saw it is why I wasn't blinded by my opinions. But thats beyond the point. Overall, really cool car. Final Verdict: This is a great set, but it has some shortcomings. Its cool that it can turn into the different cars from the different movies is great, but its also a a pain to actually do it. Pieces fall off sometimes but they are easy to fix, and the minifigures are great. The design is solid, both figuratively in that it looks cool, and literally in that besides some littlee pieces, nothing major is going to be falling apart (unlike some other sets). It comes with a flux capacitor and a cool little control panel, the engine looks cool, and overall this is a great set to get. Score: 8/10 Grade: A-

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing I like the complex builds and really enjoyed larger ones like the Falcon (10179 with almost 5200 pieces), R2D2, and smaller ones like my original fire station set from the mid 80s. This set disappoints though. Sadly, you cannot put Doc Brown & Marty into the Delorian, you can't even put one of them in, it's too short. If the Delorian was 1 block wider, and one plate taller inside, both characters could have fit into the car. For it to be so close and miss is really sad. They did add a couple nice features letting you choose which Delorian you want, the OUTATIME plate or the barcode plate, the silver wheels or the '55 red wheels, with or without the '55 circuit board. The doors even open and close roughly like a delorian. The skateboard is kind of pathetic, especially since they probably could have done just a 4x1 plate with a 1x1 slope on the back as a hoverboard, or even colored the skateboard brown to make it look more like the makeshift one he used in 1955 to escape Biff. The last disappointment was the lack of "glass" panels. It just uses weakly placed parts tilted in the claw bricks to make it look like the roll-bars. I would not recommend buying this set, they have so many that are good that I wouldn't want you to waste your money on this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much fun! Got this today and couldn't put it down until it was finished. Was really fun to put together. I found that a few of the pieces fall off easily, so you have to be careful when handling it. Like others have said, the door does come off easily when you're lifting it. Doc also has a hard time fitting into the front seat, but I managed to get both him and Marty in after a little pushing. Can't wait to show it off!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Great Scott!" I have been excited for this set since I saw the project CUUSOO. I remember thinking to myself, This is going to be a set, and I'm going to get it. And that all has happened. The moment I saw the box I KNEW, this was one of LEGO's best. It is just simply incredible, but it does have some minor flaws, I will give you the skinny in this PROS and CONS list. PROS: Amazing design on minifigures Lots of detail NO STICKERS Great design on the printed bricks Spelling error fixed on Flux Capacitor Fairly durable build Phenomenal instruction booklet (tells about the movie and the creators of the CUUSOO project) Very nice box (I use it to store my Delorean) Accessories to change variation of Delorean from each of the 3 movies Handy little brick separator CONS: No hoverboard No Einstein The doors fall off easily Only tire pieces for ONE set of wheels The Mister Fusion Home Energy Reactor mini-build break off sometimes (it is resting on only 1 stud) All in all I love the set. Even if it has its' little flaws. -Lukas McGee

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Scott! Great Product! The model is great looking and is a great nostalgic piece, and the Minifigures are cool. The build was not too easy and not too difficult. On the downside, the model is a bit flimsy. It is best however for display, especially in hover mode with the transparent pieces. Pros: - Great looking model - Very nostalgic - Good build Cons: - Model is flimsy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Deal I have been a fan of the movies ever since I was a kid and my wife saw this when we went into the Lego store and she picked it up for me. I thought it was pretty cool how you could change the DMC to fit whichever movie you want too. It has the extra license plat and the wheels turn down for hover mood just like the second movie and the red rims and circuit board from the third movie. The book that it comes with inside is awesome and haves neat information bout the car and the movies.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This could have been so much better. I avidly awaited this set. When it was announced, I was quite happy. After I purchased the set, and put it together… not so much. Box/Instructions: The box is quite nice. Good pictures, sturdy enough to fit the completed model, and all its extra parts inside quite well. No Problems here. Parts: This is a vehicle built out of plates. There are very few full bricks here. 90% plates. The printed pieces are superb, except for the minor misspelling on the flux capacitor. Minifigures: The minifigures are what you should expect from a well done set. Not original pieces, but good printing on them to make them fit. The Building Experience: As this set is 90% plates, the build is quite boring. It doesn't even start to resemble a car until 80% of the way through. Most of the time is used to build the foundation... out of plates. The roof and doors lack anything resembling cohesion. The doors aren't connected to the frame of the car, and the windshield isn't connected to the roof at all. The completed model: When completed, the first thought I had was "This thing will never fit on my Lego City roads." The current batch of City vehicles are 6 studs wide. This car is 10 studs wide when you include the exterior pipes and tires. The next thought I had was "can I even fit a minifig inside?" Turns the answer is Yes… If you don't want to be able to close the doors. Summary: The production time crunch really did this set a lot of injustices. The finished model looks more like a jeep than a sleek 80's sports car turned time machine. As a display model, the set is fine, but playability suffers from the inability to put the minifigs inside it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Great Fan Supported Set! Building the flying Delorian from Back to the Future will bring back nostalgia to any fan of the 80s classic. Here are some of the highlights... Pros Doc and Marty minifigures are fantastic! I would buy the set just for them! They both have double sided faces to express emotion. Doc's scared face is priceless! PRINTED pieces! There are no stickers with this set! A huge plus All important details are in place, including the flying wheels position! Lots of extra pieces to build the three different versions Perfect price point. It's a great value! Collector's style instruction manual is very cool. The box is high quality. You can keep and store the model in! However, there are a few flaws... Cons The iconic flip-up doors fall off constantly. Makes picking up the model with out breaking something difficult. Only Marty can squeeze into the driver seat. It is impossible to fit Doc into the car. Very disappointing. Still, this is a great set that everyone should support. Go out and buy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads..." As a huge Back to the Future fan, and an avid Lego builder, I was elated to see Cusoo yield the DeLorean time machine. The design is very good, and the Doc Brown and Marty Minifigs are great! My only complaint is that the car's a little fragile when assembled. Not a dealbreaker, but not great to play with, although I'm more into the building and admiring myself. It wasn't difficult to build, for me, at least. It took about an hour. A must buy for both BTTF fans and DeLorean fans, who also like legos. I hope I'm not the only one out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Scott it's the DeLorean! I really like this set alot and when I heard it was being released by Lego from Cuusoo I was really thrilled to get this set as soon as I could when it came out I like Doc Brown with his Nuclear jacket and his hair is almost the same from the movie Marty Mcfly is also a cool minifig I also like his life jacket that he has and it looks just the same from the first film the DeLorean I really like alot and that you get the Flux Capaciter and the as well as the time and date for the DeLorean to go back in time also I like the fact that Lego had the year 1958 put in instead of 1955 because that was the first year the first Lego brick was made I also like the 2 different license plates the first is from 1985 that says OUTATIME and the other is from 2015 which looks like a barcode which I thought is very cool I also like the fact that you can build this set into 3 versions from all the movies the only things I didn't like was that when you put this set together sometimes the doors fall off or come apart and when you try to put both minifigs in the car they won't fit unless you modify the car to where they can. This is a must for any Lego fan or Back to the Future fan because the car is so iconic to the films in so man ways I also want to thank all the 10,000 supporters who supported this set being made and Lego for making this set and designing it as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wasted Potential This model is too fragile. Every time I touch it, pieces fall off, mainly from the gull-wing doors or windSHIELD frame. It does not have an aerodynamic appearance and this is worsened by the absence of wheel wells. The minifigures are too caricatured, and I would have a appreciated multiple outfits for the for them like in the original Cuusoo design. Worst of all, there is a spelling mistake on the Flux Capacitor. Still, the alliance of Lego and Back to the Future is one of the greatest ideas ever, so I'm not about to seek a refund.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Going Back to the Future...! This was a really exciting purchase. It is the first Cuusoo product I have bought and I was eager to see what the Lego designers had mixed up. For Lego and Back To The Future fans it does not disappoint! The set is detailed and fun to play with, while being faithful to the films, yet with a distinctive Lego flair. It also comes with a great array of pieces and makes for a really nice display piece - for the hovering version it has some clear bricks which make a good display stand. Best of all, if you get bored of the model you can just customise it with more pieces and make something else - the fun never ends! The set had many great aspects, the main ones being listed here: Versions: The set was a worthwhile purchase as it was not just a single model, but had the advantage of customizing it to look like any of the three films! This ensured that if you got bored of playing with one version you could just alter it. This was also great as once you finished the building manual, the construction was not yet finished! Printing: This was a really great point for the model. It was absolutely sticker or decal free. The 1985 and 2015 number plates were both printed, along with the time display and flux capacitor. This meant no annoying peeling, dust on the surface or application mistakes. This should be done with more sets. Mini-figures: As they are unique to the set, this was a great bonus. They both have intricate printing, and both are printed on the back and front of the torso! Both also had double-sided faces, one smiling and the other worried or scared. This adds great play valuable and they are a good souvenir for any fan of the films. Packaging and Detailing: This was a nice little touch as the box is reinforced cardboard with an opening lid, meaning you can store the model in it after you finished building or playing. The manual also was printed and bound like a little book and had notes and pictures from the films. This was a very nice finishing touch! The set had one or two gripes, which you can read below: Stability: This was actually not a problem, but the model is designed in such a way that only the base-plates hold the front section on, meaning that extra strain is put on these pieces. This may slowly weaken said pieces over a long period of time. Cabin Interior: The cabin lacked some of the controls, mainly the bank of levers, dials, wires and buttons in between the two seats that Doc uses to operate the time machine. This left an open space, the seats with a slightly odd design that meant only one mini-figure could fit inside it. The roof was two low to place jumper plates. Overall Size: I appreciate that this would have been difficult to tackle, but the model was rather big - ten studs wide and eighteen long - and this meant it looked somewhat absurd when next to the characters. The proportions looked over-exaggerated compared to the films. Finishing Touches: One or two more details would have complemented the set well, such as glass in the windows or actual seats for the mini-figures. Some colours of the bricks on the outside could have been changed to blend in to a better extent. Overall this was a great set and a perfectly justifiable purchase. If you are curious about any of the Lego Cuusoo products or are just a big fan of the Back To The Future films then this is a set for you. It offers great display, play and collectable value, as well as providing a bit of nostalgia. It would also be a good gift. Another great Lego concoction!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great set, one strange problem. I just put together my DeLorean, and overall it's a great set. I was worried when I read in other reviews that the figures couldn't sit inside the car without removing their hair, but I found this to be false. You can't really fit in both at once because the seats are too close together and the arms get in the way, but one fits in the driver's seat just fine. I have only one minor complaint: I love that the set uses printed blocks instead of decals, but there is an error on the Flux Capacitor. Where it should read "Shield Eyes From Light", there is a typo so it reads "Sheild". It's not a huge deal, but a corrected replacement part would be awesome.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Back in the Future Car It’s good design, but parts of the pieces come off when playing. I use glue for window frames, doors, and cable hoses to hold it. Hairs remove from minis to fit in the car. The price is little high. It might worth to some people who like this collection?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back to The Future! This is a great set that even people who aren't fans of BTTF would love. It has a great design, very nice minifigures, and can be change to three different designs for each movie. Pros: Awesome Marty McFly and Doc Brown Minifigures Great Delorean design Wheels can go into "hover mode" along with clear pieces to make the car look like it's hovering Cons: Gull-wing doors break easily Delorean hood isn't flat. Both minifigures can't fit in the car at the same time Hard to fit Doc Brown in the car due to his tall hair This is a great set!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay, not amazing, and sometimes frustrating. Being a huge fan of Lego and somewhat a fan of BTTF, I couldn't wait to get this set. The car, overall, looks pretty nice, but as a model I get so frustrated with some of the poor design aspects of the car. Both figures do not properly fit within the car side by side. Due to the shallow nature of the roof, and that it's quite delicate, it very easily pops off if I try to successfully sit Marty and Doc side by side and shut the doors. I also felt that the build was strange and felt clunky, being a LEGO fan I build a lot of models. Granted, it is a cuusoo model, so a fan will have built the original model, but it felt like there were an awful lot of small pieces being used to make the car. It felt more like a model I was making up as I went along out of my lego brick box, instead of cleverly utilizing larger pieces in a more appropriate and time saving fashion. Once completed I didn't have the same satisfaction I get when building other models. To conclude ,if you're a LEGO fan but not really fussed about Back to the Future, Id put the money towards a different set. If you're a BTTF fan I guess this set is a must for the minifigs, if not the fragile, heavy DeLorean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dream come true! I was actually saying to myself a couple weeks before I heard about this set, "If Lego ever made BttF sets, I would buy them all." This was brought about from seeing a set with a car that had fold-up hover wheels. Sure enough, my 2 favorite things were merged into 1! I even ordered the set the next day after my friend told me about it (had to wait for payday). I found it to be an interesting set to put together. A very unique design that makes for a perfect look, but not practical for play. I would only recommend the set for collectors. The only real gripe I have is that being a hardcore BttF fan, I'd love to see extra add-ons. A hoverboard, hazmat suit, Einstein, DeLorean remote control, etc. Hopefully these will appear in add-on kits/future sets (hint, hint). Also, the Constitution train engine from the Lone Ranger series with a few modifications would make an excellent Time Train.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Set This is a very good set. There is only one con to the it which is you can't fit doc and Marty in the car at the same time other than that I think the set is perfect.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meh That is exactly how I felt about it after I built it. Here's why: It falls apart any time you touch it. Not only that I had to modify it with my own pieces (which I did happen to know beforehand) just to fit Doc and Marty into the car comfortably with both doors closed. Wouldn't you assume children might want to play with the minifigs inside or someone such as myself who might want to simply display it? I found that rather odd. Going back to "it falls apart." I built it exactly the way the instructions stated then later made my modifications. Before I changed anything it would fall apart if you grabbed it in any way. I am already very careful with my all my Lego so I knew it wasn't just me having a strong grip. I honestly don't even pick it up anymore. I wanted to try to do a stop-motion film using this set but it probably won't happen considering how fragile it is. One thing I did love though was the instruction booklet. I'm a big BTTF fan so thumbs up on that!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An interesting design Some of the build techniques were certainly not Lego "standard" so were interesting to see. The appeal will certainly be more for AFoL rather than the young children or teens. And the play experience probably isn't quite there as some pieces (like the front window/roof frame) don't actually connect so are easily separated with play. There are a number of nice features, printed pieces rather than stickers is the number one best feature! I loath stickers. This set certainly makes a nice display piece, not so much a play piece.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT SCOT! I bought this product only yesterday from a local toy shop. But It sold me months ago on the cuusoo website when I pledged my support to it (yes, I was one of the 10000 supporters for this project). I have enjoyed the films since I was 6 or 7, so naturally when I saw this I thought it was a great idea. So now I will discuss the pros, cons and areas of improvement, before writing a conclusion. PROS This model is film accurate, it literally looks like the one in the film (only small and made of LEGO), and it has everything, a flux capacitor, time dial, buttons, wheels you can move etc. It even has minifigures of Doc Brown and Marty Mcfly, with his Skateboard! The inclusion of these two was a nice little touch. The best aspect of the model is the customisation, you can make it look like all 3 cars from the 3 movies, and you can do it by literally taking off 2-5 pieces. CONS The build was pretty long, and I am an advanced LEGO builder with over a decade experience of building LEGO models, I'd say 90 minutes to 2 hours for me (with breaks due to frustration) One major problem is the fact I had missing pieces, which was frustrating, however I was able to overcome this with a bit of creativity. I feel that the model (marked for children over the age of 10) should really be for 12 and over, it has many fiddly parts that I struggled with at time, and when I finished building it, I did have the roof come off on one occasion, so that is something you should know before purchasing this model. One minor criticism is you can't really fit both figures in, so be warned about that as well. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT This model is good, it doesn't really need any improvement. My only real gripe was the missing parts, though that was down to the manufacturing stage rather than design. Design wise, I have nothing bad to say, it's film accurate, good sized and is a really nice thing to have. CONCLUSION This model get's 5 Bricks from me, it captures the spirit of the franchise it was based on, it has a lot of good features, NO STICKERS!, and if you're a fan of the films, you will not be disappointed, and if you're buying this for your children (which you probably aren't) they will love playing with this car and re-enacting the events of Back to the future. for £35, it is good value for money and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BTTF is wonderful! I jumped on buying this the moment it became available. I am glad I did. I was out of the country, and didn't get a chance to build it until this week. My two sons helped me, and we had a wonderful time. Ever since I saw it on the Cuuso website, I knew I would be purchasing. It did not disappoint. If you are able to get one, I would highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my favorite LEGO sets To be honest i didn't expect so much from this set because of some negative reviews. But finally found it and decided to buy it. Now I have to admit that is one of my favorite Lego sets of my huge collection and I don't regret having purchased it. First of all, the mini figures: - Marty McFly: Great designed and exactly as in the film. - Doc: Excellent mini figure, probably one of the greatest one from all mini figures i have. And about the DeLorean: It's awesome with all the details that it has just like in the film. The only problem is the fact that it only fits one mini figure. But appart from that, lovely car with amazing design and perfect for display. If you are a fan of Back to the future, get this set because for sure you will like it. Overall: 9,5/10

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 7. CUUSOO DeLorean Time Machine BTTF This set is cool, some flaws, but that's not the person on Cuusoo who made this's fault. By the way, for some reason, Lego doesn't give credit to the real person who made this, so I will. Special thanks to m.togami. You are liked. Anyway, we all like the DeLorean. We all like this set. We all like BTTF. And we all like the fact that the time machine says 2015 and it's 2013. But let's get on to the main part of da set. THE VEHICLE ITSELF: -The one thing I can't stand is when Lego makes the product SO different from it is on Cuusoo. But, I guess they HAVE to make it look like it did or else nobody would want it, so stop hating. Nice job, LEGO. 8/10. THE MINIFIGS: -The minifigures are actually pretty close to on Cuusoo. They can't be EXACT, but still cool. -DOC BROWN: There is not much to say about him other than 7/10. -MARTY MCFLY: He is almost exactly like he is on Cuusoo. The only thing is that he DESERVES a 9/10, but I have to give him a 5/10 because LEGO was too cheap to give him a HOVERBOARD, instead they gave him a skateboard. I'm just being honest, I love LEGO, but this time, FAIL. BADLY. Final Score: 7/10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Lego set ever! I love this set. I didn't know when I bought it, that there were extra pieces so that you could build it from either of the three movies! I love the mini figures of Doc and Marty. The car is just awesome as well. I'm also a fan of the black booklet with little snipits about the movies. This is a very cool set and I'm glad that it was made. For the price it is well worth it. Love the set!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great set for the most part I've read some of the reviews before purchase so I knew what to expect from building in terms of troubles. Like some others, the doors can be a bit of a problem opening and closing as they can come off easily, but that is a minor issue. Another is the fact that Doc Brown can't fit in the car, and even if you got him in you can't close the door. This is due to the hair brick. But those are minor issues but is enough for me to not give it a 5/5. Overall, I think the set is well worth the price tag and is a fun little set to build, and you are also able to switch pieces to match the DeLorean accordingly with the 3 parts of BTTF. 4 out of 5

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best gifts ever! At first I thought I would never get this set since it was going off the shelves so quickly, but as a gift, it is so worth it. First of all, congratulations to Team BTTF for accomplishing the 10,000 supporters and passing the LEGO review board successfully. There are many awesome and super detailed parts that make this set awesome, but there is some room for improvement: - A not so great problem is that only one minifigure can be seated at a time, but after looking at the building instructions again, they can be fixed very easily. - The doors on the model function nicely, but the door sometimes falls off because of too much pressure. I just need to handle the set a little more carefully. These are the only things that kind of annoy me a bit, but I like to engineer ways to solve the problem. One thing that was annoying was that the instruction book is an actual book, and wants to close itself while I was building. I don't mind the destination being in the year 1958, because the Delorean is a time machine, you could go anywhere you want! Not only is the car awesome and customizeable, but Team BTTF is generous enough to donate their profits to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, who will continue investigating a cure for Parkinson's Disease. Not only we get a cool looking car, but the world gets one step closer to the future. It is amazing how one step closer to the future is caused by a group of LEGO fans. Overall, This set is awesome, and I am happy that LEGO can produce Back to the Future toys, as well as listen to other people's ideas and make them reality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The DeLorean! I just finished putting this together and was pleased at how the car turned out. There are a ton of details and like how they include the pieces to "upgrade" the car to from the first movie version to the 2nd and 3rd. Love the "invisible" bricks so it looks like the car really is floating. There's only a couple cons, one being it's really hard to fit the mini figs inside the car. I managed it, but only after both doors and the roof fell off. Which leads me to the second con, the doors are only held on by one dot connection and if you tug a little too hard, it falls off and has to be put back on. Easy enough, but I wish it was a little sturdier when it's a moving section of the car. Overall, it's a great little car and a fun replica of the DeLorean! (even if there is a misspelling!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back to the Future I was amazed to learn that LEGO and CUUSOO were working together on this product. I myself had tried to recreate the famous car several times and failed, and now we have a fantastic model that is beyond what you could ask for. THE DELOREAN: The car is the only part you actually get in the set, which could lead you to doubt it's playability factors and whether or not its worth the money. It is. The car is a compact and solid build, and is packed with features from the movie. The wheels are created to turn so that the car can fly (if you are a display person, it comes with some clear pieces to boost up the car). There is also an extra brick built front and red wheels if you want to use the time machine as in the third film. The doors of the car(which are actually doors; how often does LEGO put that in?) lift up to reveal room for one minifigure, and shows (printed, not stickered thank goodness) the Flux Capacitor behind the driver's seat and in the front a steering wheel and some time circuits. It includes the destination and present times. The destination reads January 1, 1958 (when the first LEGO brick was invented) and the present time October 10, 1985. The car comes with two possible license plates, one saying OUTATIME as in the first film, and one orange plate with shiny silver bars from 2015. The last most recognizable feature is the Mr. Fusion on the back of the car, though I regret to say that it's brick built inventory hardly satisfies to the actual look. My only other thing with the time machine is that it would have looked incredibly more realistic if all the light gray pieces were shiny silver instead. It looks cooler and more true to the original car, and there's no fingerprints easily left on those :). All in all, the vehicle is amazing and a great buy, perfect for any LEGO fan. MINIFIGURES: -Marty McFly: Marty is recreated with perfect double sided printing as he is dressed in the first film, with jeans and a collared shirt with jeans jacket and wind breaker(what's with the life preserver?). His face has two expressions, one smiling and one confused. He comes with a purple skateboard. -Doc Brown: Doc is also made to be in the first film, and is dressed in his radiation suit. His torso is printed with a pocket and a timer. His head is also double sided, one smiling and one scared. He has white wind blown hair. OVERALL: The set is worth it just to have the Back to the Future scene. However, given the slight over pricing, I would have preferred a few more tweaks from each movie. I would have given up the skateboard to get the 2015 hoverboard. I also would have liked a video camera, a better Mr. Fusion, and a cap printed to be like the 2015 one that Marty Jr. wears. Overall, this is a great set and I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool, but slightly disappointing I found this LEGO cool. I love the fact that it is interchangable. The bricks are printed, and I quite liked the detail on the minifigures. The delorean was overall cool, but I still like the concept model a bit better. Though the body is solid, some small parts like to fall off easily like the doors. The minifigures are hard to put inside. Both minifigures cannot fit in the Delorean at the same time which I don't really like. Overall I found this model cool, yet a bit of a disappointment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from January 28 1958 A few people have complained about the date on the time circuits being wrong. It is true that Marty went back to November 5th, 1955. However January 28th, 1958 is just as relevant, if not more so!! You see, January 28th, 1958 is the date that Ole Kirk Christiansen received a patent for a new design of his interlocking plastic bricks. When the blocks debuted on the market a few weeks later, it began a decades-long obsession with the toys for children all over the world. If that hadn't happened we wouldn't be here talking about it now!! So here's to Lego for putting their DOB on the time circuits!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BTTF Delorean I have wanted to get this set, ever since it was confirmed by Cuusoo back in 2012. And while the first impressions of the pics release weren't great, they grown on me and i really liked it. I got the model delivered yesterday direct from Lego. (ordered it morning of release, petty standard delivery time for delivery direct from Lego to UK) Was fun to build took about 1 hour. The mini figures are great and the look of the car is pretty good. The only downside the the whole set is that you can't fit both min figures in very well. But i have modified the car slightly in order to fit both Marty and Doc in (see Pic)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Scott! While some have expressed disappointment, I rather like this model. I think the hood looks better in person than in the product shots (the rear lighting makes the ridges way more pronounced). In fact, I think this model looks better than the original fan version submitted to Cuusoo. The minifigs are great (and both feature an alternate facial expression not shown in the product details), and the ability to change the car into any of the three movie versions is fantastic. It makes for an awesome display piece on my shelf, which is exactly what I wanted out of this set. As long as you go into this with realistic expectations regarding the scale and scope, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BTTF in the Lego universe Just recivied today, and it´s amazing. The only fail I could say it´s about the wheels in Part I and Part III versions. I don´t like how the wheels stand out of the car. But I think it´s a great version of the car in System. It´s not a UCS or something like that, it´s could be in a City set without problem, just like a Luke´s landspeeder from Star Wars series. I hope to see other sets of BTTF saga. It could be great to see the Lybian´s VW bus or Biff´s Ford.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You built a time machine...out of Lego? First Impression: This set was first seen on the July Lego Store Calendar and when I saw this the first time I was impressed with this set, however most people disliked it from the first glance. This is a must have set for every Back to the Future fan. This is an impressive recreation of the DeLorean from the popular 1980's movie: Back to the Future. I think this will be an iconic and popular LEGO set, as it even makes a quick demand on the first day of release much like the Lego Minecraft Micro World #21102. Unique Parts: This set contains four unique printed pieces: Time settings Display is a Medium Stone Grey Flat Tile 1X2. In this model, the “Target Date” is “01.28.1958”, the date that the first Lego brick was patented (which is a neat touch for Lego fans) and 10.26 1985 as the Present Time. It doesn'thave Last Time Departed as the numbers will be very small and hard to read but does capture the main reason for the Time Settings Display in the DeLorean. 2015 Licence Plate is a Bright Orange Flat Tile 1X2. Is the licence plate that is featured in Back to the Future, Part II. 1985 Licence Plate is a White Flat Tile 1X2. Is the licence plate that is featured in Back to the Future, Part I Flux Capacitor is a Medium Stone Grey Wallelement 1X2X2, it is the core component of the DeLorean Time Machine that is what makes time travel happen. It has spelling error, Shield is spelled “Sheild” which is the main negative with the set and hopefully Lego corrects this error. The front should have a new “Roof Tile 1X2X2/3, Abs” and had DMC printed on it as well. Minifigures: This set contains two exclusive minifigures Doc Brown and Marty McFly. Doc Brown is wearing his lab coat with white trousers and has 3 exclusive pieces. Marty McFly is wearing is gilet and blue trousers and he has 2 exclusive pieces with one very rare pair of Medium Blue trousers. Marty McFly has a purple skateboard and could have come with a “Hover Board” as well. Playability: This set is not really made to play as it only has two gull-wing doors just like the real car, it has space for one minifigure which is a shame however it looks like the minifigures were a final addition to the set and foldable wheels as featured in Back to the Future, Part II as extra transparent bricks to give it the flying effect. This set has a bonus feature that you can customise the DeLorean to suit one from the three movies but not a huge difference as it comes with two licence plates, Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor, Four red wheels (not including the tyres) and a rack of vacuum tubes and other components on the hood for the Back to the Future, Part III Delorean. Build Experience: This set contains 5 five unnumbered bags with three plates. The instruction booklet is thick and is a high-quality book containing the building instructions, information on Lego Cuusoo and Back to the Future similar to the Lego Architecture series. As your building facts appear on some pages which is very neat. The build is simply starts staking plates on top of each other and a few technic elements for the rotating wheels. The build follows with a colour coded base of the DeLorean: Red for the front and blue for the front as the early stages are symmetrical. It’s an enjoyable build with very small pieces used for details. The doors did not fall off for me as I was placing the on to the DeLorean, for some others the doors fell off. The DeLorean has a variety of different building techniques is any very enjoyable build for the size of the set. Value for Money: This retails for £34.99 in the UK and contains 401 pieces. Is a fairly small build for a £34.99 set because it uses small pieces to capture details on the DeLorean. Back to the Future fans will really appreciate this model, however people who are not familiar may not be drawn to this set other than it is a unique type of vehicle from Lego and delivers a different build experience. Theme Popularity: Lego Cuusoo products are mixture of different models chosen by the fans. This set is based on the “Back to the Future” trilogy which is very popular in the 1980's and adults will be drawn to this set as a collector’s item. Exclusivity: This set is available at Lego Stores and http://shop.lego.com/ and other selected retailers. It is also stated on the Lego Cuusoo website, that these sets are limited to 10,000; however the Lego Minecraft Micro World (21102) was so popular Lego made more quantities. Packaging: The packaging is worth keeping as is very similar to the Lego Architecture boxes, using the high-quality box with an opening lid to keep your contents safe after building the model. Growth Potential: This will do very well as an investment potential in 2015 as it is the 30th Anniversary of Back to the Future trilogy. Lego Cuusoo sets do very well as investments as they are limited and unique for a short period of time, much like the Lego Minecraft Micro World #21102. Display Attributes: Yes, this It is a great collector’s item and display piece however people were hoping for a larger scale of the DeLorean from Lego but we should appreciate what we have. The windshield and hood of the “DeLorean” is not really accurate but is suitable for the scale of this vehicle as Lego normally uses windshield pieces which would not be suitable for this set. This does look like a “DeLorean” but not as much at the front. Final Analysis/ Conclusion: Overall this set it is a must have set for every Back to the Future fan. If you’re a Lego collector of cars this will also be a unique and it will stand out from other Lego cars of this scale. This set has four unique printed pieces and two exclusive minifigures: Doc Brown and Marty McFly. It could have had a “Hover Board” and the Flux Capacitor doesn't please many people when “Shield” is spelt wrong. Is it worth the money: for “Back to the Future” fans is a must buy. This set is limited so get you hands on it when you can.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Scott! As soon as I saw that Lego were releasing this model I was extremely happy. Never have I looked forward to the release of a set more. And it's a flawless set. What an amazing purchase! I hope that more BTTF sets follow this (ie the train or a Hill Valley town set). The set looks fantastic and the minifigures are great. I love how they've managed to allow you to convert the DeLorean into the one from each of the films: a great idea. I can't see anybway they could improve this set; except possibly adding in Einstein or blue tubes for the sides to make it look like it's in the middle of time travel. But that is asking too much as this set is already amazing. Buy this: now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not bad at all. If you love the movies, buy it! If you are a spelling bee fan, buy it! "I before E except after C" ;-) An unchallenging build with some nifty construction ideas, lovely detailed booklet and fab printed tiles and mini figs. I hope it sells well and can't wait for more cuusoo.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could have been so much better. I have been waiting for this set for a long time but was overall disappointed with it. PROS: Great box for storage. Fantastic book that includes information about the movie and the Michael J. Fox Foundation. You're able to alter the DeLorean to make it fit all three films. No stickers! CONS: Only Marty McFly's minifig can comfortably fit inside the car. Feels fragile. The doors easily pop off when trying to open them. I wanted to like this more but the sheer fact that it is difficult to move it around without pieces coming off as well as not being able to fit both minifigs into it (and Doc Brown can't really fit at all), I have to give this an average rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best LEGO Set For 2013 Ever since I've gotten this set, I've been amazed of how great this set is. This is a MUST BUY for BTTF fans and non BTTF fans. The minifigures look awesome and completely detailed, all the way to Marty's plaid shirt under his "life preserver." As much as the hoverboard would've make this set the best LEGO has ever created, and then some, it's still the best LEGO movie based set. The DeLorean has it's pros and cons, the front hood being the biggest flaw, and the fact that only 1 minifigure an go on, it's still my personal favorite LEGO set I've gotten. Quit reading this review and go buy this as soon as possible, you will not regret it. I know $35 is a little too much, but it's still worth it. Now stop reading, Go get this great set!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back To My Childhood This is a great little piece and glad to finally see it officially released from Lego. I actually received a custom kit a few years back and loved it. Although the custom kit was a bit truer to the movie/real-life Delorean, Lego's offering is solid. I love the BTTF series and this set totally takes me back to my childhood. It wasn't too difficult to build and the set feels good. There are some parts that aren't quite as sturdy as I would like (i.e. door and windshield frame), but overall it feels solid. I wish the hood was a bit more realistic, but I think they needed to make a compromise to allow the Delorean to transform in to the BTTF 3 model. The printed pieces are awesome. Flux capacitor, OUTATIME license plate, BTTF 2 license plate, and the central computer with the dates. Priced at $35 for 400 pieces, I think it's a great deal. The minifigs are great looking as well although a hoverboard would have really finished off the set nicely. If you can get your hands on it, get it. You won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome set Great build. Awesome details. People are complaining the date set for the past is wrong. The brick says 1958. In the movie they travel to 1955. This is not a mistake, but a inside joke for Lego. 1958 was the year the first Lego brick was produced.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could have been so much more This is a set I really wanted to like. Being a set clearly made for fans and collectors, I wish LEGO had gone for a bigger set with a higher price point. As it is, it seems they made it as small as possible. You can't even fit both the minifigs inside the car properly. It would have been nice if they had made it to real minifig scale. It just seems like a missed opportunity to have made a truly fantastic set. On the plus side, you get a lot for the money. Several well made painted pieces, and being able to convert to any of the 3 versions from the films was nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! This is by far my favorite Lego set ever! I'm glad that they changed the Cuusoo design to this, the Cuusoo design looked more like a Volvo than a Delorean. I can really recommend this because it is a nice build and has lots of play ability. Specially love the fact that you can build all three Deloreans with the extra included pieces.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing I was excited to buy this set at first, until I realized the date shown on the lego time circuits is 1958! Didn't you guys see the movie, it was 1955! Nothing good happened in Hill Valley in 1958, it was a terrible year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from YAY So Excited for This Set This will be the first Cuusoo set I will be getting (and I know already I will be getting several of them misspelled piece and all. I know LEGO will make good by it). Thank you LEGO for bringing this set to the fans. I only wish the hood of the car used the long sloped roof piece as in the original Cuusoo design. But we can ll fix that ourselves (that's why we love LEGO right).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a wonderful set for a great movie! When the first images were leaking I was a little bit disappointed that the actual set varied quite a bit from the original Cuusoo project. But then I held the box in my hands and must say: what a great set! The car looks fantastic and there are so many ways how you can play with it. You get items not found in any other sets such as the special minifigs and printed parts like the license plates, time machine and the flux compensator. The cars overall appearance is very close to the real DeLorean as well. While in the Cuusoo project a 6x8 slope was used for the hood, the Lego model uses tiles. However, the original DeLorean's front end is nearly flat, and using the slope will result in a much bulkier front end than is desirable. LEGO's version makes it more looking like a stylish sports car converted into a time machine. Overall the Lego Version looks much sportier, more compact and flat. So my conclusion: get this great set and lets hope Lego will build on this and offer us more "Back To The Future" sets!
