Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Display set Pros Instruction book was very nice with several pages of fun facts Box is better than most lego boxes with locking tabs on lid. Build wasn't too difficult. No stickers. All 4 Ghostbusters and packs for each. and a display lego stand for all 4 to stand on. Cons Although the car was beautiful on the outside there was more to be desired on the interior. Like seats and room too hold all four minifigs and packs. There were no doors to open. I was hoping too have the rear hatch door to open. If your a collector this is the set for you. If you want too play this may not be the best set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Who you gonna call? There's so much to say about this set, it's hard to choose exactly what to say.. One thing right off the bat I need to point out is the detail on this set, it's incredibly accurate. After I had finished building it I watched the movie to compare the set to the real thing, and as I said it's incredible! Nothing is better than to put together a set that has had a lot of thought put into it. While I think ultimately the car steals the show but you can't forget about the minifigures, again the detail put into these is so cool. Just think about it, there's a Lego Bill Murray now! And another cool thing is it comes a stand for the mini-figs, so when you're not posing/playing with them you can put them on display. It's also neat that you can fit 3 of the mini-figs on the car, it would be a little better if you could fit all four but with how accurate the car looks and how cool the mini-figs are it's easy to overlook. I highly recommend this set to any Lego fanatics looking for a challenging build, or fans of the Ghostbusters movies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish they made more in this series! Bought this for an adult male who "LOVED" Ghostbusters. Unfortunately this is the only set they made for the anniversary of the movie or we would have purchased more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crazy Fun! My 4 year old and 6 year old boys built this set and had a fun time playing with it. This is a high quality set. Great job LEGO Ideas!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Model with a secret extra! A great & fun build and a really authentic look of the classic vintage ambulance. Just wish they included a Slimer minifig. :) One odd thing is that it came with the parts to make a Star Wars Lightsaber from the spare bits. Had a spare 'hilt' piece and a translucent blue 'saberblade' in the pieces to make one. hahahah. How bizarre!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great build, Excellent value for your money! The set comes with the Ectomobile, four Minifigures (the Ghostbusters), and a display stand for the Minifigures. Each Minifigure has a unique torso with the character's corresponding initials on the the front, and their first name on the back. The Proton Packs are very well designed, and accurate. The car itself is quite a lot bigger than I expected, being approximately 8 studs by 25 studs by 10 studs. My only complaint is that the car can only seat 3 mini figures (without Proton Packs) rather than four.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will a future set include the PKE Meter? It was the only thing missing from this set. Overall, the Ecto-1 is quite cool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant! I have just completed my Ecto 1 and had to come on here to say how amazing this set is! The attention to detail in both the car and minifigs is amazing and the fact that they're no stickers make this set worth every penny! If you're thinking of getting this set then don't hesitate! Full marks to the designer Brent. A brilliant set to keep and admire for years to come...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great set - think has started a lego addiction cannot say enough how much love this set. always been a fan of ghostbusters, so had to get the ecto1 as soon as it came out, and wasn't disappointed. very detailed car and figures, fun to build. only problem was I then needed somewhere to put it, thanks to digital designer app and pick-a- brick have now almost finished my new york street scene, complete with fire house, the building next door with fire escape and various street items. had far too much fun doing this, lego addiction confirmed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great but some issues I have had no problem with the lego itself just the instruction booklet 1 there are already several loose pages in less than 1 day 2 it is difficult to see the different colors and mistakes are easily made when you are not in a well lit room

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great set! Got this one as a gift to put in my office. Tons of fun building it. Lots of pieces, so the prep work took a while, but seemed to go by quickly once I started building the car. Overall, it's a great set and has been getting a lot of attention in my office. The only complaint I have was that I was missing several pieces or did not have enough of a few of the small pieces, but I know that is a very rare thing to happen. Overall, buy this if you are a huge Ghostbusters/Lego fan!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of the Better Ideas Sets I picked up this beauty at my local Lego store the day it came out. When I got home I built it and was pleasantly surprised, it could fit all the mini figs without strain, there were some nice new printed pieces and a very satisfying build. After the flop that was last years Back to the Future Time Machine which couldn't even fit the two figures provided. This put my faith back into Lego Ideas/Cuusoo. While it doesn't fit all the proton packs in the car it does have a stand to put the mini figs on instead of them being in the car. I honestly love this set have watched the movies growing up (not that I am an expert in Ghostbusters) I think that the model portrays the car very well. Now onto the only thing that disappointed me, there was not a single ghost to bust. I understand that a Lego Ideas set can't have any new molds created for it but it would have been nice to get just a generic lego ghost from the Castle or Monster Fighters lines. Luckily for me I have a ton of the old castle sets so I had ghosts to spare. But I think the set really would have been compleat with just a generic ghost or Slimer perhaps. Overall it's a great set worth picking up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The best tribute to Ghostbusters ever. First of all, it has quite a bit of detail to the car and the minifigures. The car's roof that comes off has the most detail in the whole set. The minifigures have the whole proton packs and names tags. To make this set even better than it already is, it needs a ghost for the Ghostbusters to catch. Other than that, it is a great set.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Who Ya Gonna Call? Let's be honest, the main buyer of this kit is going to be someone who grew up with the movie, Ghostbusters. And when finished, the car does look like the one in the movie. The mini-figs look pretty close to the actors as well. The car also has a nice weight to it when finished and I think the proton packs are very nicely put together as well. That being said, there are a few things that would have put this kit into the 4 star or 5 star category for me. A simple one: no ghosts in the kit. If you want this to be a functional, playable set, ghosts would be needed. You can't buy them (as far as I could tell) from pick-a-brick, so you're going to need to buy a full size kit you don't want just for the ghosts to be able to play with this. Even just one would have worked for me. Secondly, the four mini-figs and their proton packs do not fit inside the car all at once. I do like that the set comes with a little display stand for them, but if you're going to actually play with this or set it up on display, you probably want the option to put the guys in the car at the same time. Finally, the last big thing I noted was the instructions. It's nice that they are printed in a nicer format than most Lego sets, but when building, it's hard to use them as they don't lay flat without help. Also, even with clean hands, there were fingerprints all over the pages by the time I was done building-the paper is way too glossy. I shouldn't have to be afraid of touching the instructions. And last but not least, it is VERY hard to distinguish between black, light grey, silver, clear grey and dark grey. Not a new issue (some of the Star Wars instructions are impossible), but one that should have been taken care of a long time ago. Plus, the pages are all black, so you get black on black and trying to figure out which is which--well, it takes a lot longer than it should! I do like the box it comes with (it's similar to the Delorean one) which makes it easy to store the instructions and extra pieces without worrying about them getting lost. Overall, this set is pretty average in my eyes. I like how it looks overall, but there are some serious problems with it if you bought it to actually play with. I also kind of feel like these issues would have been easily corrected if they really thought about the customer and what they would be doing with the set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Brilliant Set By Lego What a great set! When I saw this set at my local Lego store I could not resist. The facial expressions on the minifigures are excellent. All of the minifigures included in this set are masterpieces -the expressions, the torsos, the stand, the proton packs, the hair, names printed on the back of the torsos, who can resist buying this set!The minifigures included with the Ecto-1 are Ray,Egon,Peter, and Zeddemore. Now on to the Ecto-1. The Ecto-1 is fantastic. There are no stickers included with the set, it is all printed on the pieces! The car itself is excellent. There are gizmos and gadgets on the roof just like in the movie. The license plates are printed on the front and back of the Ecto-1.The detail is outstanding! Lego has really put some effort into this set.The insides have enough seats for three of the four.(there is room in the back for Zeddemore).Overall, I recommend this set for anyone who is a fan of Ghostbusters or Lego.Who ya gonna call? Lego Ghostsbusters!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I ain't afraid of no block There's something strange in the neighborhood, and who are you gonna build? Well the Ghost Buster's of course!! Lego has really out done themselves for this set. the details on the minifigs alone is amazing. The only problem with the set I can find is the packs. The use of the whip could have easily had been replaced with a hose piece. Other than that the set is beautiful. The amount of detail put into the car is amazing. This gives me hope for the next Lego creator sets. Still hoping for the TARDIS or 221B Baker St.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It will have you sing the theme song This is a spectacular replica with mindblowing details that you can actually play with. The set includes some very unique and rare pieces that make the building experience delightful. It was a refreshing experience for me especially because I have been building mostly large buildings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Who Ya Gonna Call? Ecto-1 and the Ghostbusters in LEGO form! How could you go wrong? Answer: You really can't! This LEGO set is absolutely brilliant! Pros: Printed pieces!!!! I cannot stress enough how much I love the printed pieces. Stickers can wear, tear, and fade over time as well as completely fall off and I've seen many a pricey set that comes with them, both for kids and AFOLs (here's lookin' at you, Benny's Spaceship [#70816] and Red Five X-wing Starfighter [#10240]). Stickers feel less professional. They're hard as heck to put on and can make or break the model's look depending on how well you can apply them. With printed bricks, you need never worry about that! You get ten printed bricks in all not counting the minifig torsos: four for the Ghostbusters' proton packs, four Ghostbusters logo pieces and two license plates for Ecto. Ecto is super solidly built and looks really good! I can't praise it enough. It manages to retain the signature, streamlined look of the '59 Cadillac ambulance while sticking to LEGO's style. The bricks fit really tightly together (some so much so I had trouble getting them off other bricks to adjust them!) so you'll be able to hand it to a younger person and not worry about stuff falling apart when they push it across the floor. The only bits that come off easily, at least on my model, are the cylindrical bricks on the roof and the hubcaps (if you pull on them). The figure stand! The stand is a great addition for anyone displaying the minifigs and Ecto-1 on a shelf somewhere. It was something that didn't need to be included but is a most welcome addition to the set. The Ghostbusters minifigs! Each of the figures has unique printing on the torso and they all have two faces. One is scared and one is happy/confident. Cons: The missing no-ghost logo patch on each of the Ghostbusters' uniforms. A very small nitpick, but any fan will notice the absence of the patch. Also, while on the topic of patches, I feel like they could've spelled the Ghostbusters' last names out on the black patch on the front of their uniforms instead of simply using their initials. Seemed like there was plenty of room to do it! Not really a big deal at the end of the day that they didn't spell their last names out but again fans'll notice. No baddies included to fight! Thankfully I have a Peeves minifig from a Harry Potter set that can be posed near the Ghostbusters but not everyone who purchases this will be fortunate enough to own a ghost of some sort from a previous set. I really feel a ghost would've been a good thing to toss in. Slimer would've been an obvious choice but I can understand LEGO not wanting to make a custom sculpt for a single set. No PKE meter for Egon and no goggles for Ray! The Super Secret Police Dropship [#70815] has two cops with goggles that remind me a lot of the ones Ray wears in the movie and I feel like they could've been tweaked to work nicely with this set somehow. The price. Hear me out on this one. I completely understand the price as a collector: Special box, printed bricks (which ups regular mfg cost), better instruction manual than normal, four minifigs, and a TON of pieces all coupled with licensing. Honestly, this collectible is a far greater deal than any of those other plastic model kits or scaled replicas of Ecto-1 available because you can actually have fun with it! I simply think a casual consumer who would consider buying this as a gift for someone else would find the price off-putting. As a side note on price: this set comes in at just under .10c/brick (.0984/brick) which makes it one of the best LEGO deals currently available, better than even non-licensed sets!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection!!! This set is perfect! I cannot stop looking at it as it sits on my shelf. The lines though out this model are spot on the money and the sizing, for me, is perfect. The size allows an amazing level of detail with out it over shadowing the minifigs. The proton packs and figs themselves look spectacular, I couldn't ask for more, unless it was a continuation of the GHOSTBUSTERS Theme! My only disappointment comes from the fact that now I have seen what LEGO can do with these types of models, that the Back To The Future Delorean was not up to the ECTO 1 standard. Please give as a do over on that one LEGO!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waiting - disappointment Quality box, 0. So "worked overtime" that were too lazy to make such exclusive quality printing, such as in the Indiana Jones sets, where the main print matte and glossy image contents of the kit, and stands in the light, it's a cool print that I've ever seen but here too lazy to make it exclusive, then failed with the image itself on the back of the box, if you look closely you can see. Detailing the car I would not say great, since managed to make the car for 3 seats when set 4 minifigures, and I'm not talking about that's where they put their "backpacks". Too lazy to deal with ihnim print logo on their hands, but instead struck him on the back, which is significantly deviated from the original. Again, too lazy to work on their hair as all theirs "hair" on them, were present in the other sets, and not even similar to those which were the actors in the film. as well as exclusive, and could do. Well trap casts itself fails because instead of making a smooth details on print yellow pages, which would be more similar to the original, and that would be typical for an exclusive, they put a meaningless piece of yellow. The quality of manual I am disappointed because it unstuck, and how can I be in this situation, is it possible to call quality?! . And of course the big disadvantage is that this set, I can not buy at the official price at Ukraine. My rating: 2 -. P/s, translation using Google Translator.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get around the Ghostbusters! Okay, I'll admit it - I've never watched the Ghostbusters movie from start to finish. And because of this, I've struggled to reason with myself as to why I needed this LEGO set so much. My conclusion? Because it's just so cool! Everything about this set is awesome. The artwork on the box, the specially printed Ghostbusters bricks (not stickers), the stand for the amazingly detailed minifigures, the highly-detailed roof racks; it's all so, so cool. The set was pretty straight forward to make, only taking me roughly 2 hours. Some of the small bricks can be a little fiddly to put together, but this could be attributed to my pudgy fingers. There's just so much to like about this LEGO set, that I will highly recommend it to any LEGO fan (regardless of whether you've not seen the film like me). I've rated it 5/5 for value for money, but only 3/5 for play experience. That's only because of the amount of small, fiddly pieces that are likely to fall off when around children. I'd rather just look and admire my set. That's all folks. I'm off to find myself a copy of GHOSTBUSTERS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome x 10 this is my first review so first off the mini figs you get 4 Egon Peter Ray and Winston they all have great printing of there torso even there name on the back my favorite of which is Peter because he was also my favorite in the movie and now the Ecto 1 the coolest Lego car ever made it has a good weight and a lot of detail on the top and it can fit all 4 mini figs 2 in the drivers seat on in the back looking for ghosts and 1 sleeping bye for now

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epic Absolutely brilliant depiction of Ecto-1. The level of detail, from the unique parts for each minifigure to the roof rack, is just phenomenal and makes this set worth every penny. It may not be one to play with necessarily, but it's clearly a future classic and one to keep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Detail The attention to detail that went into this set is outstanding. It was great to see all the detail in the Ecto-1 replicated even down to the little satellite dish and that weird blue hose that they have on the side of the car. The fact that they were able to fashion mini-figure proton packs and even a trap was awesome. The only small criticism I had was that in the instructions, the black page background made it difficult to tell the difference between using a black brick and a chrome brick from time to time. I had to look very closely at the instructions, or reference a photo of the finishes car to be sure a couple of times. Over all, well done! Awesome set and worth every dollar for the hours I got to spend in my childhood as I put it together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A classic set for a classic movie! The Ecto-1 is a perfect set! I have long waited for any kind of Ghostbusters set from LEGO and was not disappointed. Everything on this set is perfect. The detail is unbelievable and right on with the ECTO-1 from the film. The minifigures are fantastic and incredibly detailed. The packs that they wear are awesome! I have nothing but good things to say about this set. It is absolutely worth it. I would highly recommend this set to everyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best LEGO adaptation yet This is the single best adaptation of a movie icon into LEGO form yet. Unlike the BTTF Delorean, the set is accurate to it's real-life counterpart. The only really complaint that can be leveled at the set is that it can not contain all four minifigs, and the three it will contain are done so one behind the other, rather than side-by-side as one would expect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Who Ya Gonna Call! GHOST BUSTERS This is an amazing set and I would first like to thank all the 10,000 supporters who supported this set being made. First is the amazing minifigures we get Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr Ray Stantz, Dr..Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddemore who are all very cool figures with there Ghost Buster Equipment to help fight and capture ghosts I also like the display stand for them as well with the iconic Ghostbuster logo my personal favorite thing about this set has to be the ECTO-1 it is very cool and resembles everything from the real car with all the electronics and very cool gadgets on top to track and locate ghosts anywhere they may be hiding also you can fit all4 minifigures in the car which I thought at first was not possible or if you ant you can fit the Ghost Buster packs from the figures in the car either way you choose. This really is an amazing set and it goes well with my Lego Back to the Future DeLorean. If you are a Ghostbuster fan or if you collect Lego's or your both I highly recomend getting this set.Thank you Lego letting this become a set and hope there will be more movie cars made from the CUUSOO/IDEAS line in the near future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great set and value Very pleased with the detail and quality of this set. I bought a set for each of my two boys (17 & 10 years old) and each enjoyed it. We love Ghostbusters and Lego and it is great to be able to bring them both together. Great detail on the box and high quality instruction manual. Very pleased and glad to have purchased these. I know both boys will enjoy keeping these as heirlooms to share with their future kids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Who you gonna call? So after CUUSOO (now Lego Ideas) came out with the DeLorean and Minecraft, I never expected to see anything as good as those again. But here we are, receiving their latest installment: the Ghostbusters! Rock on LI! THE ECTO-1 CAR: This is a great set and a fun build that should only take up to about an hour (mine took more like an hour and a half, since I was watching Ghostbusters while building this). It is primarily white with some red and uses a lot of what would seem to be random pieces in order to construct the goofy modifications that Bill Murray & Company made to the car. Inside, there is room for all four minifigures (as long as you're happy with one guy lying down), and there is a control pad and steering wheel. I'll say right now, thank goodness these LI sets are high quality, as there is no stickers at all. This is a well built car, worth maybe a little less than the price, but that's okay. It's worth it! MINIFIGURES: The minifigures included are the Ghostbusters: Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, and Winston Zeddemore. Each have the same tan torso and legs, printed as the Ghostbusters outfits and equipment, as well as their nametags on the left side (their initials). Each also have a specially built proton pack to go on their backs so that they can shoot nuclear blasts at the ghosts. Each have a smiling face and a scared face, and their own special hair piece. Other equipment includes a spectrometer and two walkie-talkies. OVERALL: Another amazing set by LI, very satisfying to build and display. Play wise, it would have been best had they included a ghost of some sort; e.g. a simple ghost, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, or Slimer (though Rotta the Huttlet makes a good custom Slimer). However, this is easily excusable, as is the price, since this is a special, exclusive 80s set. Since LI is on this great spree of sets, I would absolutely LOVE to see an A-Team van with Hannibal, B.A., Face-Man, and Murdock. I'd also suggest the MirthMobile from Wayne's World or the USS Enterprise. Just some ideas! Thanks for this great set, LEGO! P.S. Any reason that a few of my reviews (e.g. Malibu Mansion) haven't appeared after 48 hours? Just wondering...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great set for fans of the Ghostbusters and Lego A fitting tribute and a must have for young and old fans of the Ghostbusters and Lego. Pros: 1. Enjoyable build with many studs not on top techniques 2. Solid and playable model that looks good for display too. 3. Printed tiles with no stickers. 4. 4 minifigures with individual torsos and impressive brick-built proton packs. Cons: 1. The binding of the instruction booklet is very bad. A few pages got loose after I started the build. 2. There were difficulties differentiating the different 1x1 round plates in the booklet due to the printing. This is a value for money set which will bring hours of enjoyment to young fans and nostalgia to the more mature crowd. If the pages of your booklet come loose, contact Lego customer service for a replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fun Love all the little details! You can switch their faces around so they can look spooked! Took almost 2 full watching of Ghostbusters movie to sort and build. This is the first set that I bought with the intention of displaying. Well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh the memories! I was 9 years old when this move came out in 1984. I had so much fun putting this together. I think you need to be an eighties child to truly appreciate this set. I had to go watch the movie on Netflix. I hadn't seen it since I was a child but saw it probably at least 30 times back then. The attention to detail was awesome. I was equally excited when the Delorean came out last year. I cannot wait to see what is coming next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best set I have ever paid for, hands down. This set is beyond beautiful. The minifigs and proton packs are fantastic but the real showstopper is the Ecto-1. The Ecto itself is packed with so many cool building techniques I kept finding myself learning something new every time I turned the page of the instructions. Not to mention this thing is a straight up gold mine for awesome parts in fantastic colors. SO MUCH METAL EVERYTHING!!! In all honesty I'll be picking up a few more of these, maybe to have an extra set for work but really mostly just for moc fodder. I really can't describe in full detail just how cool this set is. I am a huge Back to the Future fan, I was never really bothered by the GREAT HOOD DEBACLE like so many other folks, but the ECTO-1 simply blows that set out of the water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of fun This is my first time purchasing a Lego Ideas/Cuusoo set. I am not disappointed! The packaging is attractive, and the flip open box is useful to save. However, the build and actual model are even more impressive. The four minifigures are well designed with unique printing to identify each character. They all come with two faces, one normal and one scared look. All have identical proton packs. You also have the accessories of two walkie talkies and a trap for the ghosts. After the minifigures are assembled, you build a stand in order to display the four ghostbusters. The car, Ecto 1, is amazing. i salute the designers who came up with this. There are some fascinating building techniques which I learned from putting this together. Lots of small pieces are used in order to really capture some of the detail of the car. The completed model is instantly recognizable. I really enjoy the printed ghostbuster logo curved slopes as well as the license plates. There are some pieces which would be seen as highly desirable in using on other creations as well. Silver metallic parts are always a bonus. This will be mostly a display piece. Those who remember the movie when it came out in the 1980s will probably be the main target audience, although people of all ages will enjoy the build. I will let my kids play with it if they are careful ;) The size is compatible enough with the minifigure to set some of them inside the car. For those who are building their own towns and like creating scenes, the car is the right scale to accompany modulars and your vehicle collection from City, Lego Movie, etc. The thought that went into this design is evident as is the detail and fond memory of a very entertaining film in the memorable decade of the 1980s. Dont let this one pass you by!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ecto-1 Purchase and Build Start off, the set is awesome and worth every penny. The unique character mini figures are also awesome. Build was easy to follow, the only drawback was the instruction manual was black pages. So for me it was hard to see the darker pieces used when assembling. The book was full of tidbits about the film which I found interesting. definitely recommend for any ghostbusters fan or even someone who collects these sorts of sets. coolest set I have ever purchased. Side note, I did wish there was a slimer figure to go with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Lego Cuusoo/ Ideas set so far. Great build, and great for display with 4 minifigs. Brent Waller, and Marcos Bessa did a great job, with Brent doing the initial idea, and design, and Marcos for the re- design. Great manual too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new all time favorite lego set! Lego has really done it this time. The quality of this build is solid. The details on the mini figs and the car look stunning. Thank you for not putting stickers on this kit!!! This is a great way to honor the ghostbusters movie! I love the way this set looks on my desk and thank you for the mini fig display stand. As someone who doesn't play with legos its great to have this awesome of a show piece! Absolutely love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very exciting set to finally own I got this set in the mail today and I couldn't be happier. Nearly two years ago, I had the privilege and pleasure to build Brent Waller's Tumbler Batmobile, so I had some idea what to expect. Although his Ecto-1 design has changed slightly since it was submitted on CUUSOO (now LEGO Ideas), it's still a fundamentally solid set with a high level of detail and advanced SNOT techniques. It captures both the retro coolness of a 1959 Cadillac and the over-the-top pseudoscientific gadgetry of paranormal investigation. Honestly, I was a little disappointed with how the BTTF DeLorean set turned out, but this set is a step back in the right direction and a brilliant way to kick off the newly re-branded Ideas line. Even with the built in costs of licensing, the price-per-brick value of this set is pretty decent. I took my sweet time building the set and clocked in around two hours. Pros: No decals, advanced SNOT techniques, high level of detail, structurally sound, nice packaging and instruction booklet Cons: Vehicle only seats three minifigs; ghosts and proton streams not included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tribute to Ghostbusters 30th This set is a great tribute to the 30th Anniversary for Ghostbusters! Overall it was a great build, but I did find it hard determining what colors to use for some of the parts looking at the instructions. The set has a lot of grey, black and clear pieces and the instructions were hard to tell the colors apart. Over all its a great set! Thanks Brent Waller!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from At the risk of sounding cliché, Who Ya Gonna Call? So, my first ever Lego review...and what better way to kick things off than with a set like this! I've been a fan of both Lego and Ghostbusters since I was a (smaller) child. Now, as an AFOL, it's an absolute delight (and a geeky thrill) to have a combination of the two. This model is outstanding! I made sure to take my time building it to savour every last second of the build. There are so many ingenious building methods involved that, whilst building, you wonder why they're there...only for them to pay off big time when the model finally comes together. The finished model is a stunning recreation of the infamous Ectomobile and the four minifigures have brilliantly captured the likenesses of Murray, Aykroyd, Ramis and Hudson in true Lego fashion. Pros: The model looks truly amazing! From the sleek look of the car to the tiny details such as the roof mounted equipment and the windscreen wipers, this looks every inch the car we all know and love. No stickers! All printed tiles for the famous 'No Ghost' logo and the 'ECTO-1' licence plates ensure that there are no slightly askew stickers to spoil the final look of the model. The minifigure stand. A great little addition that I suspect most people would never have thought of. It is a fantastic accompaniment for the older fans of Lego who want to simply display it. The minifigures themselves. As mentioned earlier, the likenesses of the four 'Busters is superb, not to mention the delightful addition of alternate 'scared' faces for when they face off against the living impaired. Cons: No Ghosts! Given that they are 'Ghostbusters' after all, it would have been nice for a ghost to be included, even if it was just one of the existing molds from the 'Monster Fighters' range or 'Rota the Hutt' from the 'Star Wars' range to stand in for 'Slimer' No Spectro-Goggles or PKE Meter. Once again, this is due to the fact the no 'new' parts are manufactured for the Lego Ideas models but it would have been nice for Ray and Egon to come equipped with their trademark gear. No shoulder patch. As above, another casualty came in the form of no arm printing of the 'No Ghost' logo on the righ shoulder. Another tiny thing that, if added, would have been the icing on the cake for this set. Lastly, there isn't enough room in the car to fit all four minifigures and their Proton Packs. However, there had to be compromises made somewhere along the line and the trade off is that you get playability AND an amazingly accurate looking model of one of the best known movie vehicles. To finish off, yes, I'm aware that I appear to have more than a few tiny niggles and grumbles with the product but that's all they are; tiny. Thankfully, they don't bug me enough to warrant awarding this model anything but top marks. It really is a pleasure to own such a detailed and iconic model. 5 STARS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WHO YA GONNA CALL!!!??? This is awesome!! The boys are back and they are ready to take on Gozer, Slimer and the rest of the ghosts of New York. Getting all four, of the boys along with the Ecto-1 is awesome. And the detail is just amazing. I love Ghostbusters and this was just an awesome set! Wish we could get the Firehouse next! :) :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best sets ever released No exaggeration, the Lego Ideas Ghostbusters set is one of the best sets ever made. Fun to build, fun to display, and fun to play. The finished product is amazing, it's extremely accurate to the real car and very detailed. Not complicated to build at all and the time flew by doing so. The four Ghostbusters minifigs are a must for any minifigure collector. If it was just a bit wider, to fit the minifigs side-by-side, it would've been absolutely perfect. Lego Ideas (CUUSOO) has been outstanding. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 30 years in the making I grew up with ghostbusters, and have been waiting a long time for this to be translated to Lego. I was not disappointed. I was first in line at my local lego store and picked up this set with a lot of excitement. The build was a lot of fun. The quotes during the build added an extra level of enjoyment. The set looks great on the shelf. I hope this set sells well enough that they do others. I will purchase those as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a must buy for any Lego Fan! Everything about this set was done wonderfully. I understand the price may be a bit high but once you open the box and build you'll see why. From the instruction manual to the actual car its worth it and more. Average build exp needed. When complete it look amazing. Best of all it comes with the whole ghostbuster team!! Thank you LEGO for a true collectors set

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tribute to Ghostbusters! My opinion may be skewed since I grew up with Ghostbusters so take this review with a grain of salt. But even with that being said, objectively (as objective as I can be), this set is excellent. The build is extremely solid, the minifigs and Ecto-1 are great recreations of the their real-life counterparts, there's great value per piece, and it just looks super cool. The building process had a great progression to it. The way the windows and tail fins were built were really interesting. The proton packs and minifigs do look excellent but the packs are very heavy and make it hard for the minifigs to stand up without the display base. There are NO stickers here, the Ghostbusters emblem and license plate are all printed pieces. There aren't that many pieces so the build didn't take too long. The only knock I might have is that it was a little hard to discern certain colors like grey, metallic grey, and white in the instruction booklet. Speaking of which, is bound in really thick paper very unlike normal instruction booklets. The box also gets some premium treatment and opens like a laptop rather than flaps at the tops of the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Blast From the 80's What a fantastic model this is! I like to take my time when building as I enjoys the experience so much. The level of detail is great and there's plenty of moments that made me smile thinking back to films! The minifigures are brilliant and really capture the look of all the main characters from the films. Overall it looks just like the car from the films and that just makes it even more special. A great design and a great build!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolute must have for any fan. When I purchased the Back to the Future set, I was mildly disappointed with the cost compared to the design of the DeLorean. As such I was very nervous about this set. All those worries were unfounded. The set is a very nice quality. Figures fit without modifications and everything looks like it was carefully Lego-ized. The minifigures capture the characters well and the character representation of each is good (all of their suits have their name patches!) All heads have a scared face on the reverse and the set includes a build-able display stand to place them on. The only change I would have made is to include something to represent the proton packs firing, but that's a complete nitpick and a few extra lightsabers will fix that. Biggest plus; The decals are all printed. This is a trend in Lego that I have been missing and am glad to see returning to the Idea line. In short; this is a good quality set that should be a welcome addition to any collection, but especially for fans of the movies. Now if we could just get a Stay-Puft set...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the coolest lego set The Ghost Buster set is cool looking . Although I am too young to have watched to movie 30years ago. Its a cool retro car. The top of vehicle was tricky, Mini figures have cool back packs and come with a stand, Great side burns on one of the mini figures. Some down falls, no doors on the car and no fourth seat so all the guys don't sit down. The last one has to lye in the back. I recommend the set for playing or for display. :)
