Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Riddle me this..." Riddle me this, riddle me that, who's afraid of the big... grey bat? Hello users! Mastrbildrspek here with my review on Batman: The Riddler Chase! I bought this set along with the Penguin Face-off, and I am equally satisfied with both of them! Alright, let's cut to the CHASE: The Batmobile: Good, but not nearly as good as the 2012 edition. However, it does have some pretty cool features; like the back of it, that can lift up to reveal flick-missiles. The tires are good, and the overall build, but there are a couple of things that REALLY annoy me: 1. What in the world did LEGO do to this cockpit? The build is good, it looks good on the Batmobile, but it doesn't open!!!!! Instead, it simply attaches to the studs on the front of the car. This really decreases the play experience on the set. 2. Alright, so the outside of the cockpit is not good, the inside is just as frustrating; it is so narrow, you have to take Batman's cape off before putting him in or it'll get ruined! And because it's so low, Batman also has to lean back in order to drive! 8/10! Riddler's Dragster: This is a great part of the set, mainly for the reason that it's the only vehicle LEGO has ever made Riddler! And it is certainly a great addition to this set! It features a detachable bomb on the back (fun, but you can only detach it if you make the car do a wheelie), money bags (with four $100 bills!), and an open driver's seat. It also has question-mark stickers that go on the front and back of it. The only thing i wish they'd added is a place to put Riddler's cane, but otherwise, 10/10! Batman: Great new Batman. Instead of following movie and comic versions on Batman, this one is based on his outfit in the Beware the Batman TV show (which is really cool, by the way)...! His new grey gloves (instead of black), his really dark grey outfit, and his new bat-symbol are really good adds to his original suit! 10/10 bricks! Flash: We finally have a Flash minifigure! He's a very unique DC Comics minifig, because (to my surprise), he has a totally specialized face! Uh-huh. that's right, people- a break from that old generic thing LEGO had going on with pretty much every minifig (now all they need to do is specialize Batman's head...). He also comes with a rubber mask, and his classic comic costume. 10/10 Edward Nygma/Riddler: Riddle me this: what set does the greatest Riddler minifigure ever designed come in? Look no further! The Riddler in this set is the greatest LEGO has ever done! The detail on his torso is amazing, and, if you look at it a lot, it kind of looks like the Frank Gorshin Riddler. In this set, rather than giving him a grey bowler hat with the "?" on it, it's green like in Batman Forever! He comes with a banana to trip Flash, and a crowbar- but it's not a crowbar! It's colored gold, making it cane shaped like a question mark! All in all, I give it a 9/10, hope you guys enjoyed! Until next time, Mastrbildrspek

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You're going down, Riddler. WOW! Is it surprising anyone else lately that I've been saying all these Batman prices are spot-on?! They really are about as good as they can get. This one especially is terrific. BATMOBILE: This one surpasses all the others. It has a much roomier cockpit, and its latest means of firing missile (does the Batmobile ever actually do such a thing?) is a hidden cannon resembling the style used on Nick Fury's car in the Spider-Cycle chase. It's a strong, fairly easy build that I personally enjoyed. DRAGSTER: Something you won't use unless you're using the Riddler, but it's cool anyway. It has a very flat, extended build with a detachable bomb and attached money bags to hold the stolen cash. It is open topped rather than in a cockpit, and I enjoy that relief as well. MINIFIGURES: -Batman: This version is exclusive, all-new, a mixture of all the others and the best one. He has a dark gray outfit with black mask and cape and the Adam West style Bat-symbol. He has the same head, serious or grinning. He comes armed with a Batarang. Love this one. -The Riddler: What a load off my mind from the last one. He has the same masked face with an evil grin, but the rest of him goes back to the Frank Gorshin style of Riddler. He has a green bowler's hat with a question mark, and a green jacket full of question marks as well. Biggest relief is that his crowbar piece is not a crowbar, it is gold and it is a legitimate cane. LEGO, you guys really couldn't have done that with the old Funhouse? He also comes with a banana to trip the Flash, and lots of cash and some dynamite. Great villain and one of my favorites! -The Flash: My brother's favorite, and I must say, I especially like his minifigure as well. He is completely exclusive with an all new torso bearing his symbol and a mask piece that goes over his head (unfortunately, it's the same old head that Batman and everyone else has. This generic thing is getting pretty old). The fastest man on earth is here! I can't wait to see Green Lantern! Awesome superhero figure right here. OVERALL: Amazingly done. LEGO, I very much request you could try harder to do this price thing with all the other themes, especially Star Wars. Well, that'll be all. Be sure to check out my other reviews on Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Lego Ideas, and LOTR/Hobbit sets. So, until next time, thanks for reading, goodnight and party on!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Riddled with flaws The riddler chase is better than many sets at its price point but it is certainly not the greatest. If you are scrupulous enough to notice box sizes, the box is less than half a centimetre deeper than the box sizes of other $40 CAD sets. However, the amount of pieces is distributed towards 2 vehicles that need much improvement. The dragster is riddled with design flaws that makes it frustrating to play with; no pun intended. All the money bags will fly out as even from the smallest motion. Do not get me started on the concept of open money bags in a car chase. The spoiler rotates too easily making it more like a radar dish. A bomb that easily falls off is not a good play feature - it is a flaw that will result in lost pieces. The batmobile should not have a removable canopy. What batmobile in history has an unhinged canopy. There are not even many studs to hold it in place. Batman looks ridiculous in lying back when driving the batmobile. There is nothing to prevent the back from being shifted beyond a 90 degrees angle. The minifigures make up for what the vehicles lack; after all, who isn't excited to see Flash in LEGO form. Flash's headpiece should have been done for batman because we're all tired of the headband for Bruce. Batman is in a suit that many people grown up seeing so he is a nice addition. The detailing on the Riddler's suit is amazing. There isn't much more to say other than it is one of the better $40 releases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flash finally!!!!! Best Batman set of 2014 just because of Flash. That's one more member of the Justice League to your collection. We just need a Green Lantern and not the Comic Con version. Hopefully we'll get one before they stop the Batman line. We also get a new Batman costume. Also, a cool new Riddler. But we've gotten too many Batman vehicles. But really good set. :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Riddler Chase!!!!! Back in 2013 when I reviewed Aquaman on Ice, I announced the Flash was on his way, and being the end of May/ beginning of June, I oght be one of the last people to get it. First the figs. Batman sports his New 52 storyline costume with excelent printing on his torso and head. The Riddler is next. He has a new variant that is much different, and cooler, than the others, his green hat and printing are great, but come on, give us a riddler cane, Im ok with the gold crobar, but seriously, throw in a cane!!!! Now for the man himself, The Flash. An excelent minifigure to own( being # 5 on the JLA count), His printing is cool, but I dont understand why people are upset with his legs. His helmet is red with face printing, and his helmet is a hard rubber. Amazing. now the set. Riddlers dragster is a nice piece. it is colored his signature green. The bomb on the back is very cool, and the money is a nice touch. Now the batmobile. Styled ( like Batman) from the New 52 variant, the batmobile is loaded with features. The front is a great look, nice touches with the cheese slope elements. The cockpit doesnt open, but gets completley off. The whole back flips off the batmobile too reveal 2 flick missiles. the back has some nice turbo element looks. Overall, buy this set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Having the Flash is great for any fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing This set is awesome. The entire set was worth the money. The flash even came in the set. The new bat mobile is so much better than the old one, i am pretty sure its from the show "Beware the Batman". The riddler was pretty cool with his new crowbar and has an awesome dragster. Batman and flash were very detailed. If u have the bat cave set this bat mobile can fit through the doors. Very good set, definitely worth the money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first Lego Batman set i had always wanted this set after seeing the preliminary pictures. i was stuck between choosing this or the man bat attack but decided to go with this as the batmobile is more recognizable than the batcopter. All three minifigs are exclusive for now. there was random bits of yellow in the batmobile so i kinda MOCed it a bit, but it was overalll pretty good. the dragster was OK as it wasn't the main built of the set. the only bad thing is the spoiler is a bit loose. so that's what i think of this set. hope this helped

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Flash is Flashy :D Okay. You guys all know how LEGO made Green Lantern and Green Arrow Comic Con exclusives, correct? Well, I was worried that's what they would do to Flash. But, LEGO became clever and put Flash in a $30.00 SET. I was literally going to explode when that was confirmed. So...down to the review. Set~ Unfortunately, the bulk of this set is the new Bat mobile, which is kind of awkward but does the job just fine. The reason I say it's awkward is because there's no comfortable place to put your hands on it when playing with it. I tried it out, and that is what I discovered. Also, it's really a shame that the canopy isn't hinged like the previous Bat mobile. However, I am in love with the translucent orange color of the actual canopy in and of itself. The flick missile feature is amazing, and looks so awesome when revealed. Riddler's dragster is really cool, too. I'm just saying that I don't think it fits the Riddler, you know? The Joker, of course. Maybe Bane (I would kill for a new comic style Bane!). But Riddler? Eh...I don't know about that. But once you get past that, the dragster is pure bodacious. Literally, it looks slick and stylish. I love the question mark designs on the front and spoiler. Speaking of the spoiler, it rotates well, but commonly falls off. The engine is really neat and detailed. Minifigures~ Batman- A cool addition, and awesome belt. Same old face, with a serious side and a confident side. I do wish there was an alternate face with a rage quit emotion, like Batman from the LEGO Movie. He has grey hands, which ehhhh.....well, you can just switch 'em out with black hands. We ALL have black hands. Riddler- Amazing new suit, I love the two shades of green. Finally, a green bowler hat instead of a grey one! It also has a purple question mark on it. Riddler's face is cool, but a second face would be great. Maybe an angry face or cowardly face? The crowbar is neat in gold, but really! We NEED a cane, LEGO! A CRANE! Flash- He looks phenomenal. His facial expressions are spot on. His helmet is proportionally accurate, but it is not ABS plastic, which really takes away from the quality of the figure. Nova has ABS, Batman has ABS...heck, even Iron Man has ABS! So why does Flash not have ABS? Oh well. The torso is perfect in my opinion. It is actually better than Christo's!. Well, that's just me. You may think differently, though. I wish there were boots on his legs, like Wonder Woman. It's not that big of a deal, though. You can just paint them on. Overall, a solid set with three iconic DC characters. A must buy for a die-hard fan or JLA collector!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interest set A Batman set is always a good set and this is another example of this. The Bat-Mobile is great, fairly sturdy, lots of play ability, and the hidden missiles are a nice feature. Flash, well he's new so that too is great. The Riddler figure is nice, but the Riddler's vehicle to me is the let down. The engine is great, the body is okay, but the rear spoiler is just horrible. Anytime its touched to play with the spoiler moves. Keeping it straight is a mission in its self and takes away from the fun. Pricewise it's high as it expected of a licensed set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from get redy batman fans and lego fans for a grat set I'm mega batman fan I read a lot of batman comics. I collect anything batman, I'm also a mega Lego fan so this set was an obvious buy for me. I love this set it is fantastic, its a great new Batmobile I'm not saying the last Batmobile is old fashioned but this won is much more modern its really low to the ground and sleek. It has flick missals on the back so it is good for kid,s it has a great look to for collectors. The batman mini figure has a new print but it has gray hands that doesn't make much sense but it is a easy fix. The Riddler has a dragster it cool to, it has a bomb on the back it slick and has a big engine. The new Riddler is cool he has a green hat in stead of a gray one and we cant forget the new Flash mini figure he has a new head piece and its cool to get a another Justice league member this set is great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic set with great minifigures! Batman: The Riddler Chase is a really great set! Let's talk minifigures! Batman: This Batman minifigure and Batmoblie is based off the canceled show from Cartoon Network named "Beware the Batman". This Batman minifigure has the same face, cape and cowl as all of the other Batman minifigures except this one has unique torso printing. Pretty good minifigure from a not too popular show. The Riddler: This Riddler minifigure is completely redesigned from the one from "The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape" and features a golden crowbar and a banana for him to throw so Flash can slip on it. He has a green bowler hat this time around with a purple question mark on it. His face is a little different from the one from the funhouse and he has some pretty detailed printing on the torso. Overall this Riddler minifigure is pretty good. The Flash: Last but not least is the Flash! This is the first time LEGO has ever made a Flash minifigure and boy is it awesome! His mask is rubber and not hard plastic. He also has double sided printing on his face. One side of his face he is a bit mad and the other side he is smiling. He also has printing on the front and back of his torso. Overall this is a great minifigure and going to be worth some money in the coming years. That's it for the minifigures! Now let's talk about the vehicles! The Riddler's Dragster: The Riddler's Dragster is a pretty cool vehicle and has a cool design and feature. First off the Riddler has two money bags in the back with two one hundred dollar bills inside. He also has two fire pieces in the back for the engine. There is also two stickers on the dragster, one in the front and one on the spoiler in the back. There is also a neat little feature in the back if you move the dragster down in the back and up in the front, a bomb will pop out with a translucent orange stud on a black ball piece. Overall not a bad vehicle. The Batmoblie: This batmoblie is a lot different from the one in "The Batmoblie and Two-Face Chase" set and maybe even better! First off we got some clear translucent headlights in the front with a orange cockpit in the middle where you can put Batman inside. The cockpit does not open. Instead you just pop it off four studs. There is also four tires with golden rims and a sticker on the orange cockpit with the Beware the Batman logo. Inside the place where Batman sits, you have an adjustable yellow steering wheel and 8 studs, four on each side. Now in the back of the Batmoblie you have two red translucent pieces, two golden pieces and a gray piece with beige technic pins. When you move this part of the Batmoblie up, you see two blue translucent studs on two flick missile pieces. When you push the gray piece with the beige technic pins, you shoot out the two flick missiles and they go pretty far and you don't even have to flick them! That's a great play feature! Overall this Batmoblie has a amazing design and great play features. I highly recommend this set to any LEGO Batman fan out there! It also has a great price at 29.99 for 304 pieces! Thank you for reading my review on the LEGO Batman: The Riddler Chase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What's red, yellow and blurry? Builds: Starting with the Riddler's Dragster, it's a neat little design with a different play feature. Instead of having predictable and overused flick-fires it has a bomb that shoots from the back when the dragster is tipped back. It's sleek and also nice to have a vehicle for the Riddler. The Batmobile is vastly improved from an already great design that we received back in the first wave. The new one features hidden flick-fire missiles which makes the overall design look realistic, in addition to no bat wing pieces. Sure this makes it look less classic, but it's definitely a bat vehicle and it's definitely still awesome. Minifigures: A new suit for Batman! I was pretty disappointed that the other two big sets in this wave (Batcopter and Joker's Steamroller) featured a Batsuit that we already had, so to include a new one in this set just makes it more collectible. It's a cool new design, a lot of dark grey in his suit this time. The Riddler also gets a redesign, this time pulling away from his classic television look that we had in the first wave and instead sporting a question-mark-themed jacket. I've heard some people are wanting a properly designed question-mark-cane, and it would be cool, however Lego gives us a crowbar in gold, which I'll happily settle for. And last, but by far not least, The Flash! I assume that sets with extra heroes sell well, because 3 of the 4 sets feature brand new heroes, including The Flash. We're slowly building up our Justice League (at least in licensed sets) and The Flash is a necessary addition to that. He looks great, his headpiece is made from rubber, but seriously, who cares? Overview: The minifigs are all exclusive and all well designed. It's one of the few superhero sets where I'm 100% happy with both vehicles included, the playability is good and they're designed well. If you're picking up any superhero sets this year, you can't go wrong with this set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Flash...Finally Extremely easy to build set. Great for beginners. The Batmobile canon shoots well. For those who buy for the mini-figures...we finally get the Flash, which looks very cool. One of the better designs out there. The Riddler's dragster is fun. The Riddler himself is the best design I have seen. The Batman looks good as usual. All in all good set. Great for those looking to complete their mini-figure collection.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Design I found the new Batmobile design to be well done, but the Riddler dragster isn't in my taste. I liked the new design though for the Riddler minifigure because I didn't like the giant purple question mark. I liked that Flash was included in this set, but I wish the sets would move beyond Bat Man and Super Man. Overall, this is a good set, and I enjoyed it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME!!!! This is possibly the best lego DC set I have purchased, next to the Joker's playhouse. Minifigs: Batman- A Brand-new Batman, with the gray costume. This is my favorite Batman costume, and you just need one easy fix, which is switching out the gray hands for black ones. 10/10 The Flash- My favorite superhero. His costume is great, and he has a rubber helmet with yellow wings. He also has 2 faces. 10/10 The Riddler- A different Riddler with a dark green, light green, and purple costume. He also has a new helmet and face. 9/10 Vehicles: Batmobile- Fairly large. Batman actually has a lot of space to fit, and the wheel can go up and down. The back of the car also goes up to reveal a missile launcher. 10/10 Riddler Buggy- Pretty small, holds two bags of money. 7/10 Overall: 10/10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They keep getting better and better This set, I'm speechless! The batman is the classic grey and black and looks lie the one from arkham origins/new 52. It is the DARK KNIGHT and my favorite batman so far, and thats saying something. The riddler- About 400x better then the one from jokers fun house. But he comes with a Cain!!!!!!!!! WHY!!!!!!! But apart from that amazing and last but the best the FLASH. Another member to add to your Justice league. The batmoblie from the new DC fighting game is the cheapest way to get a batmoblie and riddlers dragster is amazing as well overall the second best out of they wave.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from outstanding set pros- set comes with three exclusive figs as of now -first Lego Flash fig ever -an amazing dragster for the riddler -the new batmobile is a well built car -the design of the batmobile is flawless -features flick fire missile system cons I cant really think of any.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool!!! Its great to have some fresh lego Batman sets, after nearly being a year. This set is quite unique for one reason, you get Flash! Without him this set would be average and nothing special, but It's great to have a new DC superhero minifigure available to buy. The minifigures are overall good, the riddler looks like he has had a makeover from the last set he appeared in, funhouse. I think its great that characters that have appeared recently in the Batman sets look different in the new sets, part of the characters collection. Flash has been designed well, like the new riddler, Batman looks the same as always and is always a great addition to have, even though he's in every set. The new Bat mobile has been created well, looks more modern and futuristic compared to the last one with the two face chase. The design is a good re fresh and works well with the set. However the riddler vehicle is a bit of a let down, the back of the vehicle is good, but the front is a bit boring and isn't that good, It needed to be a bit stronger/powerful looking, however I suppose the Riddler isn't a strong villain he quits sneaky and not very tough. But overall the set is fantastic, a few let downs but overall its works, I think It could have been priced at £24.99 and not £29.99. The min figures are great especially flash, overall the new DC sets are promising for the future!
