Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great base plates I just love Lego's, I wish we could have had all the different sets when I was a kid, but then they didn't have the Friends or Princess'. My niece and nephew and I are building not only Lego's, but vast memories every-time we play!! Thank you Lego

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indispensable Each of my children, five and seven, have one of these base plates, and each of them will be getting another for Christmas. This board makes LEGO building on a larger scale for houses and fortresses so much easier, giving the kids more creative freedom. My children have added smaller plates to the big one for roadways, pathways, bridges and such.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great but.. Whilst this product was the perfect solution to my mini figure storage conundrum and it worked out perfectly to allow me to have all my mini figures in one place and it must have fitted 130 mini figures on it. Thats the great bit, was pleased. However, £11 nearly - I felt is very very steep and my wife nearly choked when she saw the price. I wish, it wasn't so expensive i'd probably have a couple more to put my set collection extras on.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cost too much I had to order 12 of these for my son's lego table that we built him. 12 x $15 = OMG! I love the finished look and function but the cost was outrageous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lego Extra Large base plate I love the extra large base plates, they are so nice for different scenes . I used 2 for my Halloween scenes and they were great. I would really like it if you could make some in white for the Christmas scenes. Thank You!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Foundation of (Lego) Life I got my first grey baseplate nearly 5 years ago. Although the colour has faded a tiny bit, it is still in the same condition it came in. It is very handy for a fairly large diorama or for displaying all your minifigures. For some reason, the LEGO shop doesn't tell you that the stud count is 48x48, equalling a total of 3204 studs. A small con with the plate is that is will bend very easily and will probably break easily as well (although this hasn't happened to my baseplates yet). Also, some of the studs are either too big or too small for studs and greebles to be stuck on. Other than that, a very good staple of LEGO building. P.S. More colours would be nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dimensions For your information, this is 48 studs square. I did not find this information in any other reviews, so here it is. 48x48.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A MUST for landscapes Baseplates are usually needed for most buildings, it's how they're supported! But trying to put many different buildings (on smaller, separate baseplates) beside each other could ruin the harmony of a "complete" city tone. So this basic piece is more important/useful than one would think! The grey tone is good for a more cement tone, as you would find in a city environment, or another planet (like the moon). It also can be used to make a great wall/backdrop in a stop-motion video. But be warned; the thinness and large width combination makes this baseplate pretty delicate. Don't bend it too hard, or it may break!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A few annoying design quirks I use these for creating mosaics, my current and previous project uses 4 of these. I like using trans 1x1 rounds to achiever a greater color spectrum. Unfortunately, these plates when put together leave a nearly 1/16" gap... which produces an unsightly visual gap. Also, since I'm primarily using 1x1's, I've found that many of the studs on the baseplate do not hold my 1x1s (the studs are too small), so super glue is required. I would deeply appreciate if the baseplates were designed so that they would fit flush with one another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Idea LEGO! I love this board. I bought (2) of them about 10 years ago and still love them... but I do have a big con for them. Pros: ~ Very useful ~ Works with Duplo as well ~ Great for airport tarmacs ~ Also great for backgrounds in a LEGO video. Cons: ~ Bends Easily ~ The bend will usually be permanent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great for a city i have a small lego city in my room and this is the heart of it. amazing for any building, city, army base, or so many others. only bad thing is that it comes by itself without bricks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Endless posibilities This set,or should I say piece :),is awesome. I mean who doesn't want a huge blank canvas to build whatever you want on. This set is a great addition to Lego's line of baseplates. I personally think that grey was a great addition color-wise. Sure, green is a great color but if I want to display my Lego Lord of the Rings sets, for most of them, green wouldn't really work well. So I give Lego a 5/5 on color. As with any baseplate it doesn't have very much excitement to it. I mean it is just a big flat peice, but there is no limit to what you can build on it.....as long as it goes with grey :). Also, one thing I notice many were complaining about is the price. I got this for a present, but I don't think the price is that bad. From what I read it's about $20 or so with shipping and tax. sure $10 would have been nice but this thing is huge. I mean 48x48 will fit tons of minifigs on it, and most sets that are under $100. So I really think it is a good value for your money. I think Lego did a great job on this. Pros Huge. Decent money value. Endless possibilities. Great color addition. Great base for any Lego set under 48x48. Cons. The board bends,I think this might be caused by the wrapping being a little to tight, and sometimes things pop off. This can be fixed by heavy objects placed on top for a while. :) Thanks for reading please give a thumbs up if you liked or this helped you. Thanks!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Lego Must Have You must have these pieces. Whether you are building a Lego City or a landscape, you must include these pieces. It something I would get two or three of. In my Lego City I needed to fill in the remaining gaps and these were ideal for the job! Although there is a huge con and that is the price. Seriously Lego, one 32x32 gray baseplate for 15 bucks? Maybe a $4.99 or $9.99 price would have been more reasonable and I might have bought more. I also found out that you can't add other bricks to the bottom of the baseplate. But anyways its a must have if you want to build something on top or to display your Lego models!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Where are hills, mountains, etc? This base plate is a good buy. I would buy two or three if I were you. But, ALL Lego has are flat plates. Why not have hills, rivers, valleys, mountains and other necessities of terra firma (land). I would prefer to have some hills for better adventures. Anyway, if you agree with me, please take a second and vote "yes". Think of it as a petition for better base plates. Brocktree1234

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Price was too high This plate was large i used it for my midevil town/castle i got two of them. it was very pricey at my point of veiw, but i don't regret buying it. But if you really think about it is a lot bigger than a 14 dallar set so an ok buy i liked it a lot and hope you do too! Pros: Gray baseplate Cons: None of course there is nothin' wrong lego did a fantastic job keep up the great work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome!! (but.. pricey) This is a great ummm set, I guess. but one the other hand, it cost to much. You could get 3 green boards, but they arn't the BEST for citys. and they don't sell small(ish) grey borads. It's cinda like cheating. But it's still a good board. I have 2 and they are great for star wars battles and city suberbs. Please read my other reviews!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epic but pricey The X-large grey base plate is pretty great for building all sorts of structures. Be it Star Wars, City, Ninjago etc. this is the perfect base plate for all those things. All though this thing is on the pricey side I'd say its worth the buy. I just now bought 3 of these things and they are perfect for stopmotions. BUY IT! =D

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a bang for your buck...but still Great! The price of the lego base plate if outragous! $14.99 is way too much for just one piece. Don't forget the minimum $5 shipping & handling. Thats 20 bucks just for a lego plate. The item is self is great. I say without this piece, you couldn't make a succeful lego set. I make stop-motion films and this is by-far the best item I have purchased for just that. All in all it is still a great buy for collectors and beginners alike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Limits To Creativity! Awesome for anyone with Lego. I've built uncountable Lego creations on this baseplate. (It's my only baseplate) if you have Lego you need this! A bit pricy for only 2304 studs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big!! A must-have for a LEGO fan. Very big, handy grey color for buildings, streets, and sci-fi scenes. The only bad thing is the price. €14,99 is a bit pricey to me for a plate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great before, during and after builds This plate is great. The size is of so much use, especially when your building a model that you're not sure of where or how it's gonna end. It's also perfect for much else than building. When sorting minifigs it's perfect, there's room for plenty of figs when sorting and storing. I just wished you would get two for the price of one, they're quite expensive. On the other you're fine with just one even if you easily can use many more. Possible drawback is if you want green (for grass) or blur (for water). If you need anything else than gray for your creation you have to build that as well (cover it with plates or something similar). I like this though since you can build, as an example, a house and then put a garden around it. It does come in green though, check out comment below. Also, since the baseplate is very big, if you put a big (heavy) model on it you have to be careful when moving it around. Carry it with something supporting rather than just holding the baseplate. But I'm talking very heavy models here. Not many sets have this included. As far as I know the only one currently having it is the Grand Carousel. And that one is green!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great for making stop motion lego animation!!! I love this pruduct Ive always wanted to make a Lego stop motion Movie so when i saw this i got it but i didnt make a movie with it for about two years instead i used it to build on so it has lots of playability. But now Im making a series of lego stop motion movies called Epic Randomness and the baseplate works well as well a baseplate!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simplicity Meets Brilliance! Wow, just, wow. First off, this is an absolutely wonderful baseplate, it's huge, it's big, and it's HUGE!. It's nice and basic, yet it has so many different uses! I use it to store my over 50 custom built minifigures, or as a building baseplate, or as an open battlefield for my films. Pros: Big, neutral color. Cons: A little pricey, should be $10. To conclude this review, I recomend this baseplate to anyone with the $15.
Date published: 2010-08-20
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple but brilliant ! I got this in my stocking a few years ago and since then I've used it loads. If you're a fan of Lego star wars like me i would recommend this for hoth sets [ technically it's not white like snow, but i use it anyway] and for building anything just for a flat surface.
Date published: 2010-08-18
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Huge but Pricey This set is great. It is HUGE. Its 48 by 48 stds! That means 15 inches. This "set" is great for stopmotion videos, building cities or mosaic pictures. Everything about this is great except the price. I wish they can put more colour choice. This colour is great for a sidewalk, road or to put your buildings on. Pros: HUGE colour(depends on what your building) Cons: Price-i mean come on $20 colour-for building a park Overall a 3/5
Date published: 2010-08-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from HUGENESS This baseplate is huge and really quite amazing. You can do so much with it, you can use it when your doing lego reviews and put your set that you are reviewing on it, you can use it for stopmotions as the floor of your senary and so the characters have a place to walk, you can use it just to build, and you can use it to display your sets on if you get a bunch. The picture is a little misleading and at first I didn't want to get it because X-large didn't look that big. I wish they made it in green and other colours but whatever. I would have made it $10 dollars but I'll fork over the 15. All in all this is a great base plate and there are many reasons to get this one. Pros: huge multi-purpose Cons: pricey wish they made it in other colours I love this and you should get it. Make sure you're prepared for the size.
Date published: 2010-07-28
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent This base plate was more expensive than I expected. Its twenty bucks! My dad gave me my first one and this second one has a lot of uses (as does the first). It is great for staging battles, creating cities or sticking your medieval market on (heh heh) but this was way more expensive that i expected.
Date published: 2010-06-24
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multi-Purpose Awesomeness This is, perhaps, the best "set" I ever bought. This thing is massive 48x48 base plate with an insane amount of room to build just about any thing! Great for brickfilming or just building something.
Date published: 2010-06-19
Rated 5 out of 5 by from a must have i got this for christmas in 2006, and it is perfect for any lego city, you have to get this. pros: huge cons thin(there is a big crack in mine) easy to break too big( no room in my closet) price
Date published: 2010-06-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Huge! The looks of this on the website are deceptive, it is a huge base plate, it is 48x48 studs! This is a great play experience, but a bit overpriced, and If you want to build a house get the smaller and lower-priced green one. Overall, I wish there was a different colour option, but a must have for system building.
Date published: 2010-06-05
Rated 4 out of 5 by from its good but id rather pay less The plate is great for building on but I'm trying to make stop motion films and at 20$ a plate that's a bit much. I would pay between 10-15$ for it but if I want 5 it's going to cost me 100$, well like I said it's still fun to build on.
Date published: 2010-05-24
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Odd size Though this baseplate is GREAT for building on, it has one major flaw...it's size in relation to other baseplates (blue, green, streets). If you want to insert this x-large grey plate into any sort of setup with other plates, you'll need either some half-size plates, or two of these grey plates, just to make sure all of your edges line up. It's a bit pricey for what you get but, it is a GREAT building surface, especially if you want a small, self-contained model base, without worrying about 'inserting' it into other scenes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great to play with I have had 2 of these things for a really long time. My sister gave them to me when i was maybe 5. They are great to build on. With two I am able to do stop motion films and more. The new thing I am using them for is a got Creationary a couple days ago and made this the game board. Here is how it works: I made 4 by 4 tiles a couple spaces apart and every time someone guesses correct the guesser and the build both move according to the number of ?s on the card. The first person who gets to the end wins. Overall I think this is a great thing to get and would recommend it to any Lego fan.
Date published: 2010-05-22
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent base for any model... This may seem like an expensive purchase just for a big grey baseplate, BUT it is actually very useful. It makes it easy to build on, and there is lots of space! You could built a city on it! Whether you are a serious Lego builder like me, or someone who likes to build smaller stuff, I can guarantee that this baseplate will come in handy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my best Purchases ever! This has really helped me with making models with my Lego Indiana Jones and Star Wars sets and my dads Prince of Persia sets. Because the green base plate does not look good with it would probably be better with the city sets I have to try that out soon. Anyway its great for the Indiana Jones and Star wars sets and the new theme Prince of Persia. The blue base plate looks better with the Atlantis sets. So if you need a base plate for your Lego Star wars or Indiana Jones or the Prince of Persia sets get this today trust me I really needed it and I ended up buying 5 and my dad bought 2 for his sets. Mine are all connected and I put the lost tomb and the river chase on them and my dad has the desert attack and the fight for dagger on his they look great! Cons none! Its really great it makes a good birthday gift

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the big gray base!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have used a flat base like this before, but trust me its best to own it. it seems a little over priced, but just buy it. if you make lego movies like me, this is perfect for you, nothing will fall over unless you do it to the minifigs. pros: great to build ontop of. if the big gray one isnt your cup of tea blue and green are avalible. ive got lukes landspeeder and freeco speeder sitting on it as i speak. cons: it should be fatter to avoid snapping

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big This set is pretty cool. But lego forgot to write the how many studs there are which is 48 long and wide. Now for the pros and cons: Huge A must have for clone bases Good for stop-motions You can also just put all your minifigs on there without carrying them around Cons: You can brake it easly It is not hard but wobby If it isn't on a hard surface like a desk the bricks won't stick and will fall of Now you can use this for almost anything. I'll show you what you need to make a base. For a complete base: 8 of these 9 small green baseplates 2000 dark grey 2x4s 100 black rails 100 "camera" guns 500 grass shrubs 50 of every plant piece For a small base: 4 of these 4 small green plates 1000 dark grey 2x4s 20 black rails 100 grass shrubs 20 black "camera" guns For a Beginners base: 1 of these 2 green baseplates 400 dark grey 2x4s 50 grass shrubs For a huge base 16 of these 20 green baseplates 4000 dark grey 2x4s 1000 grass shrubs 150 rails 150 camera guns 300 2x2 bricks dark grey 100 of every plant piece 500 black 2x4s 100 black 2x2s Over all this is the best baseplate.I'll give it a 9 out of 10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Base your model on this I really enjoyed using the gray base. I used it to be the "yard for a building model made by another manufacturer. The bumps were used to keep the walls squared up and the model was glued to the base for a permanent display.I covered the "yard" with green cap tiles and "grass" pieces. It is very effective. Try it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why do you complain? Before i start, may i ask why people complain of the color? This is the best baseplate, as it is the only gray one, and the most realistic one for a clone trooper base. Now that that's out of the way on to the reveiw. This is quite expensive, but very big! 2,304 studs in all! I reccomend this to all LEGO fans!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommended. Good for several things. This baseplate, sure it is gray, is good for (1.) parking lots, (2.) the base of a building, and (3.) the bedrock of the ocean floor. Pros: big, very useful Cons: none, except the fact that other color baseplates of this size would benefit people. Though gray, 2304 studs is good. Very good. LEGO for the win!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful This is a great set for just about any leo theme. I now have 4 of these and I am saving up for a few more. The green baseplates also go great with this, because they are 2/3 the size of a gray baseplate. also combine with about 800 dark gray 2x4s and make wonderful bases. some foliage pieces that you can get on pick a bick walls at Lego stores can really liven it up. This set is a necessity for all builders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must-have for any Lego builder. By next June I will have amassed 8 of these boards because they are so useful. I have, to date created a giant Star Wars Republic base (which just happens to have Stormtroopers, 2 Sith Lords, multiple Indiana Jones' characters, LEGO CITY people for "extras" and A Custom clone running the whole place with his alter egos, a ninja and a superhero, but i digress and I need to get back onto the topic) which takes up 4 baseplates and 2 baseplates currently being used for my rapidly expanding Hoth set, which i sue to recreate scenes from episode 5. Buy it, its worth it.

For a smaller base- 4 of these 4 small green plates 1000 dark grey 2x4s 20 black rails 100 grass shrubs 20 black "camera" guns For a beginner base 1 of these 2 green baseplates 400 dark grey 2x4s 50 grass shrubs For a huge base 16 of these 20 green baseplates 4000 dark grey 2x4s 1000 grass shrubs 150 rails 150 camera guns 300 2x2 bricks dark grey 100 of every plant piece 500 black 2x4s 100 black 2x2s based can be expensive, but they are definitley worth it. Some of my bases are 5 feet long, 3 feet wide, and 3 feet tall with 1200 dollars of troops inside

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pavement or moonbase This big baseplate is perfect for simulating the moon's or any other barren planet's surface. It is also good for paved surfaces like parking lots in Lego citys. Clone armies set up very well on this baseplate. It can be combined with other baseplates for huge dioramas. It is big enough by itself to hold minifigs and a structure built on it. I highly recommend buying this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must Have!!! This baseplate is a must have for any LEGO fan! You can do almost anything with it! It is great to build big buildings and displays. Almost everything is good about it! The only thing that I don't like is that the plastic is really thin and I am always worried that I will crack and break it! Also I think this piece is a bit overpriced. I think ten dollars would be a more reasonable price. I wish LEGO would make this baseplate in all different colors! I know I've said this many times but this is an awesome must have piece to complete your collection! I've already purchased three and am thinking about buying a fourth! Buy one today! You won't be disapointed! I hope this review helped! Have FUN!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow. This is big. 15" by 15" is HUGE! You want this baseplate. I use all the time for my minifigures to stand up straight when my friends and I are playing. Ever time I play Legos I use this baseplate. Buy one like it or a bit smaller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lot o` space to play in. You will LOVE IT. Hope this helps you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great base plate I like this alot its good for mocs displaying minifigs and or vehicles also its really nice if you get alot to make a city or in your into star wars and army stuf like me there great for making bases. theres only two things i find fault here one its a little flimsy so if your building a base you should put it on a table or on a hard surface so it dosent move around while building as it most likely would on carpet and its price i would think this should be ten or another idea but drops the price by alot it being five bucks and the green plate being 2.99 So overall i recomend it most all lego builders And thats maturo10 signing off ( plz check out my other reviews on the at-te and the at-at

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where would you go without a quality baseplate? This is definitely a MUST HAVE for ANYONE that builds with lego. It's perfect for building houses, structures, showcasing minifigs or putting your clone or droid army on and making stop motion films on it. The only problem I have is that it's pricey and a bit flimsy. Other than that this is sweet!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from O.K. base plate in all r great to use but there flimsy. when i build on the carpet in my room the bricks fall off cuz the plate bends. Pros. great to have big Cons. flimsy pricey

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Build It! This is good for projects, lego men/women and sets for movies. it is great for starting out.
Date published: 2009-06-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little pricey First off these are 48x48 studs, Lego should really mention that in the description. These are a great size and perfect for building up your city, MOCs or just using it as a stable platform to display your models and minifigs on the shelf. Not much else to say except the price is a little steep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from KOOL! this is a really nice set, it is a bit expensive, and a bit flimsy, but it is just neat! but i recommend a few green baseplates instead... i mean, who would want a concreet yard? seriously? TGB- out

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great for moc's this base plate is used for making your own moc's (my own creation) or just putting any old bricks on. The colour is great and the size and vale for money is great !!! at normal shop's this would be buying this for 10 pounds but on lego.com it's 6 pounds !!! so if you buy it online your saving 4 pounds !!! these base plates are great for building backrounds on and i recomend that you get 10 or more !!! i rate this product 9/10

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big! Well this was the largest baseplate that the Lego store near me had so I picked it up along with some pick-a-bricks. The baseplate is huge, and fantastic for making MOC buildings or simply making dioramas for MOC vehicles, minifigures and such. If you actually use this, then it is well worth the price and an excellent addition to a MOC builder's arsenal! Happy *Custom* Building!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Base plate I defiantly got my money's worth out of this base plate. Whether it's using it for my stop motion movies, or setting up a base for my clone army, I use this so much. Its a great deal and i highly recommend it to any Lego builder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ...It's a baseplate. ...It's a baseplate, thats it. it's a nice size, it doesn't exactally work in a city unless you build MOCs or anything large like that. It shows up well on a camera, which is good, as peeron and bricklink submissions require a light grey background. With some stickytac and a few bricks, you can suspend this behind a desk which is useful for stopmotion or photographing little knicknacks and doodads. It's a tad pricy, and too flimsy, but it'll work out great if you know how to use it. ¾.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great castle plate in most of legos recent castle sets, knight kingdom, viking, Castle/fantasy era, all have some sort of large forstress, all of these fortresses fit on this baseplate. Kings Castle siege, fits, Viking fortress vs Fanfir Dragon, fits, Vladeks castle, fits, great great buy if u have a castle on losely connected plates that u need a solid foundation for. buy this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Building Space... This is great for laying a foundation for your city or making a set for your stop motion movie. I got 2 of these and they have both proved to be very handy. My complaint would be the price, it's $15 in Australia and that's a little bit too much for one base plate. But it's still very useful and I would recommend it to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of Room If you build a lot in bulk then this is a must have. The base plate can be used for so many things. I have used them for larger scale buildings, parking lots, and even a car dealership. No other base plate will spread your city out faster. It is a bit on the pricey side for only one plate, but offers the convenience of plenty of building space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most useful piece ever!! The gray baseplate is one of the most simple yet useful pieces ever made. You can use it for just about whatever you can think up and build. My most used piece and a really good size, I would reccomend this to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A builders dream This baseplate is huge. You can use this to build anything, from a fire station, a train station, a hockey rink, a museum, or maybe a Mars mission Headquarters! Overall, this baseplate seems a little pricey, but is a good bargain, considering the sheer size of this thing (48 studs long, 48 studs wide) I gave its play expierience full marks, for all the different things you can use it for. Leg godt! (Play well!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size This baseplate is very nice for building large projects and the like. I have one and it's holding up perfectly; no problems with bad studs or breaking. However, it's extremely expensive when buying in bulk (I need four, and that's $60!).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy!!! This baseplate is very handy and perfect for houses, buildings, castles, statues, and more. The play experience is poor for the purchase itself, but not when something is built on it! This has saved my large Lego creations many time, they should just make some more colors. Warning: Be careful with it. When adding on pieces, make sure the surface is is resting on is somewhat flat. This piece is fragile and can bend easily. If you bend it too much, it can easily crack or break clean in half.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Castle! Just a note to say that if you have the castle siege than you should get this because: - the castle fits PERFECTLY on this baseplate, - its grey so it makes the castle look like it has a real courtyard, - and its easier for mini-figs to stand up cheers

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The much needed basics I would highly recommend getting this plate if you're looking for the best price to stud ratio. The green plate (and others) are nice if you're looking for the specific color or size though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HUGE! I bought four of these (you get a small price break when you order more than one) and I have built massive structures on it! Also I have about 70 minifigs, I like lining them up by squads so I can see it available for my next creation; they fit great on this plate. Overall awesomely huge! But a bit pricey.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from BIG, BIG. If you want to build something big, something huge, or something GIGANTIC, this is the baseplate for you! With the giant size, you can use it for just about anything you want, from a castle, house, base, or landing platform to a road, field, or enviroment. Anything you imagine can be built using this baseplate, and it's a must-have for any serious builders as well. The only bad thing is it's a bit over-priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Creativity Sparking! This was the base for most of my older lego creations and was a great help when building. Incase you are building a city or a mansion or a mosaic, this is the way to go! The sad thing is that mine began to crack after about 5 years but it will not forgotten, as it helped me a ton with my lego building! Despite being slightly overpriced, this is probably the best accesory to buy along with the green 32X32-stud baseplate!
