Rated 1 out of 5 by from 'Once Bitten, Twice Shy' I like the Simpsons but I hated this minifigure series. Even though there were new moulds for every character, I just HATED this series. I bought 5 and I wish I hadn't. I will be careful in the future. The worst thing is that there will be Lego Simpsons Minifigures Series 2, I love the Minifigure series but the Simpsons are not for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them! I have the whole set now, only thing I recommend is buying them from the store, you can feel around the package to find a specific character. I only purchased one double. The staff at my local store were super friendly and helpful. Without them I wouldn't have found my last 3 that I needed. TIP: When feeling around the package, feel for the accessories, you're success rate will be higher if your looking for a specific character.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 16 to collect! For a fan of The Simpson and of Lego this Lego Minifigures Series is absolutely to buy. The only problem? Be albe to find all of them... beacouse the closed bags! Perfect reproductions of the characters are completely realistic with spectacular detail and special accessories.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Odds are NOT in your favour. Bought 3 of them to add to my order and 1 was maggie, 2 were Lisa. What the heck?!?! I picked up some in store a couple days prior and got Maggie and Lisa out of 4. So it makes me wonder if someone is picking out he good ones... how you may ask???? because Maggie and Lisa are the 2 with spikey heads, thus allowing any handler to easily check if it is Maggie or Lisa. Call me crazy but I think they might be the 2 least wanted ones of the bunch. TERRIBLE ODDS to actually try and collect these let alone get some characters you'd like online. I would suggest you DO NOT buy these online as 2 of 3 being the same character out of 16 possible choices is a joke.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I choo-choo-choose these minifigures! Being a HUGE fan of The Simpsons, buying these figures was a must. I just had to get them all (I'm a bag-feeler, so it didn't take long to find them all) When I first saw the minifigures, I was a bit disapointed by the heads, but now that I'm seeing them in the flesh, the heads are in perfect scale. I have no complaints about the features, distribution or price (just a shout-out to US shoppers angry at the $1 price increase, Australia has been paying $5 from the start. I think $5 is more than fair, considering how expensive minifigures are to make.) I'll get right into each minifigure's individual review. I'll only write for the 5 members of the family, mainly because the others basically review themselves just through their pictures. 1. Homer: very simple minifigure. Like some others, his arms are moulded in two colors. The remote control is a nice touch, considering we didn't get one in the house set. The donut is so simple... it's amazing. "Donuts... is there anything they can't do?" - Homer 2. Bart: One of the more detailed minifigures in the series. He has back printing on both his torso and legs, which show his slingshot. The skateboard is also nice, and printed! Good to see it's not a sticker. Always nice to have another skateboard 3. Marge: a very good minifigure. The skirt piece is great, too bad the leaflet doesn't have instructions on how to fold it. At first, I was having trouble figuring it out. Maybe it was because I was watching a rerun of The Simpsons... Anyways.... My only problem with this minifig is the purse. I don't recall ever seeing Marge carry one in the show, and I've seen a good 90% of the series. It comes across to me as a if they're (LEGO) trying to keep the gender stereotypes. 4. Lisa: Great figure. Looks almost 100% accurate (she has 8 spikes on her head, it's Bart that has 9). The "saxamaphone" is a nice touch too. 5. Maggie: Possible the most detailed figure. Her single torso/leg piece is great. Even her toy bear, Bobo, was included! From the rest of the series all the figures are, for the most part, 100% accurate and designed amazingly. The detail on the figures can be seen in the photos. What can't be seen clearly are the accseorries. Abe's "old man yells at cloud" newspaper is a brickified version of the one in the show, as with the Biclops comic. There are a few more episode specific accessories, like Ralph's "I choo-choo-choose you" valentine, Fladers' toolbox and Blinky's (the three eyed fish) fishbowl in Mr. Burns' hand. Burns also has the one-time employee of the month, which I see as the unofficial 17th character, the "inanimate carbon rod". All in all, I definitely think that this is the best minifigure series ever, and I think it can only be beaten by a second wave of Simpsons characters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DREAM COME TRUE!! OKAY Lego i love you...you are amazing. Da Best. I know i am not the type of audience you were targeting for but this is one lego i am proud to say i collected. THE ONLY LEGO I AM PROUD TO SAY I HAD OWNED. Let me say the mini figures look amazing. You made Milhouse Van Houten actually look cool and dateable towards Lisa. That is something the TV couldn't even do. Congrats Lego. I think its great you had scratchy and itchy come out with the first season of the simpsons mini figures. My favorite two characters in whole show. (I really REALLY hope more are to come.) I will say this though when I watched the video of you making the mini figures it was worrying me of you messing it up but it turned out great!!...WAIT i take that back it turned out awesome. The Ones I Have Right Now: Lisa, Bart, Grandpa, Milhouse, Marge, Homer, 2 Ralphs, Krusty, Flanders, Wiggum, Scratchy, Lisa, Mr. Burns and 2 Nelsons. The Ones I NEED!!: Itchy and Apu The Ones I Wish For (Ones I Need To Complete My Life): Duffman (optional because legos are for mostly kids T~T), BumbleBee Man, Dr. Nick (Hey Everybody!), Fat Tony (fat people need love too. please for his unfortunate death ;(), SideShow Bob (I know he done some terrible stuff but everyone deserves or 1-10 chances to prove himself), Carl and Lenny (Homer needs his friends. I mean we all know what it feels like to be nagged at your wife every night from work), Moe (optional as well... *sigh* for the same reason as Duffman...) and the old man with the beard with the robotic seal :P. For the people who disagree with their decision, come on people most of us have watched the simpsons and we turned out awesome. Its not like they did lego sets of the cartoons kids sneak down to watch at late nights. I feel like simpsons is like the only cartoon both adults and kids can enjoy. Show sympathy for simpsons and the lego company please.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Minifigures I wasn’t overly excited when I heard they were making Simpsons minifigures and I wasn’t overly impressed when I saw the figures themselves. I don’t like the head molds – they seem bulky and very “un-lego.” The only real redeemable quality is that some of the accessories that come with the figures are unique and pretty awesome! If they do another licensed theme, I sure hope they do something superhero (X-men?) where the figures still have usable head & hairpieces… If you like the Simpsons figures, these are great for you. If you do not like the Simpson theme….

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing Selection The mini-figures themselves are a lot of fun, but the random distribution can result in some major disappointment. Of the 16 mini-figures I ordered, 4 were Homer, 4 were Bart, 3 were Maggie, and 2 were Marge. Pretty poor odds, and not worth the gamble.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mystery Bag Not sure if this is a Lego UK issue but, just came on here to order the house and characters for my husband who adores lego (big kid) So shocked to see there are 16 characters to collect but you can not specify who you want........ so it's a mystery bag...... because apparently you can play swap in a playground with your friends........ I know this may be fun for 10 year olds and a ploy for lego to make more money. But, you've just lost a customer as i've grown up from playing in a playground when i end of with 2 of the same character. Not being a fan of Lego as to me it's overpriced plastic shapes but to fans like my husband this is the most ridiculous gimmick ever.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Expensive - but who could turn down the Simpsons? LEGO Minifigures - The Simpsons Series Yes, they're a rather expensive product for what they are - £2 for around 5 LEGO pieces. Other LEGO sets represent value much better than these little guys! However, as I mentioned in the review title, who could turn down adding the hilarious Simpsons to their LEGO collection? Like many others, I find it awesome to be able to add the Simpsons to my collection - it really does spark your imagination and allow you to create scenes from the hit show that you wouldn't have been able to create before! Additionally, the minifigures are easy to assemble - you could even build the set on the go, on an aircraft for example. If you're a Simpsons fanatic and you're particularly keen to add more merchandise to your collection or you're just a keen LEGO fan like me; BUY THESE MINIFIGURES!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lego Simpsons. Need I say more? I don't have much to say here, except that this wave of Lego Minifigures are simply brilliant. These new figures have exceptional new molds, prints, and funny faces. I myself am not even quite fond of The TV show, and yet I still love these figures. Even if you are not a fan, you at least have to pick up one, because The Simpsons is a classic TV show that deserves to be recreated into Lego. These Figures are great!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overall, not the roots of Lego Really really dissapointed in Lego for taking the solid mold for the head. Imagine being able to swap out Marge's hair, or Bart's to another char. The solid single brick mold for the head was a huge mistake. Really wanted to be excited for this. I wonder if it was in the contract or something, but I doubt that as how the simpson artist portrayed. At least they didn't have the "i'm glazed" look from the house. Why not give Mo a fat stomach, etc, so many things they did wrong I feel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LEGO Simpsons I personally think that LEGO has done a really good job here in order to produce such a difficultly designed series. I believe that the figures are great and the accessories that they come with are good choices, as well as being detailed. Each of their heads are well molded, with a few minor exceptions on just a couple. The only thing that I would see as a disappointment is the price. It seems a bit much for something so simple and small. However, in a tough economy, where prices are rising each day EVERYWHERE, it isn't that bad of an increase. Overall, the collection is brilliant as it offers a nice range of characters for those who can't afford the house, and I will be sure to try to collect them all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Worthwhile Purchase For All! I was a bit worried when I first heard about these new The Simpsons minifigures, as I am not a Simpsons fan. But these turned out to be really good collector's pieces and they appear great on display. Any LEGO fan, whether or not you like The Simpsons, would be pleased with these. They are very different from the previous collectible series 1 - 11. It looks like from now on there will be theme-based series, and this looks a good place to start. 1. Homer Simpson: He is a simple but good edition, especially as he doesn't look sleep deprived as in The Simpsons House. The donut and TV remote are great accessories. This being Homer's classic costume, it is a must for Simpson's fans. 2. Bart Simpson: Hardly any differnt from The Simpsons House other than his eyes are wide-open, as with Homer. The skateboard is a cool colour and he has a printed sling-shot on the back of his torso and pants. The printing on his legs and arms is a real plus. 3. Marge Simpson: This too is a must for Simpsons fans, with what must be the tallest ever minifigure wig! The handbag accessory is a little dull but her cloth dress piece is a good feature. The tile she comes with should really be a Homer accessory. 4. Lisa Simpson: Her red cloth dress is rather hard to apply, but once on is a nice feature, especially on a short-legged minifigure. The saxophone is all chrome-gold and is a rare bonus. Overall, a very pleasing addition. 5. Maggie Simpson: I wasn't expecting her body to be all one piece! She is narrower than other minifigures and very plain, with a strange worried expression. Her Teddy Bear has some intricate printing. 6. Grandpa Abe Simpson: Plain, but is head is moulded with lots of wrinkled detail. The tile saying 'Old Man Yells at Cloud' is an amusing touch. A must-have for Simpsons fans looking to complete their collection of characters. 7. Ned Flanders: A printed toolbox is a unique and clever addition. He has a very big head, about as tall as is his torso! The printed mug is clever too. His eyes bulge out behind the glasses. 8. Krusty the Clown: This guy looks like a lunatic, but he is very cool with a massive stick-out wig and moulded clown's nose. The cream-coloured pie is a real bonus. Probably the most cartoonish of the lot and a unique must-have. 9. Milhouse Van Houten: The printing on his legs and arms is good, as we have never had short-legged characters with leg printing until now. His tile accessory with 'Biclops' is a bit boring. The massive nose on his moulded head is very stand-out. 10. Ralph Wiggum: The head looks quite strange on this minifigure; very flat and you can hardly see his mouth. His torso is simple and the tile accessory a bit dull. This is probably the plainest of the series. 11. Apu: This is a great minifigure, with a giant headpiece and the coffee cup from The Lego Movie series printed with 'slushee' on it. Every detail on his face is clearly visible. His hair is a funny gray. 12. Nelson Muntz: The minifigure has a cool moulded head with teeth detail and intricate hair. His torso is quite plain. The baseball bat is a great accessory and looks a little menacing with this character. The head is the winning feature. 13. Itchy Mouse: His nose is enormous and oddly thin and wide. His big ears make Itchy stand right our. He has satisfying torso printing and that cool club we all know from Series 1 and so on. A bit out of place, he might have been better replaced by Smithers as one idea. 14. Scratchy Cat: The first time I have ever seen a tail on a minifigure! His head is bulbous and very detailed. His torso is plain and looks kind of weird. Worth buying for the tail alone, which joins at the hips. Maybe he could have been replaced by Professor Frink. 15. Chief Wiggum: A good moulded head piece, with lots of detail, including his ears, nose, eyes and hair - as well as thsoe on his cap. A printed megaphone is new and cool, as well as a truncheon printed gray. A must-have companion for the Ralph Wiggum minifigure. 16. Montgomery Burns: This guy looks really mean, or grouchy, with a giant head piece and a neck that cranes forward a lot. You have to lean him back so he'll look straight! A nice printed minifigure head with a three-eyed goldfish and a rare torso in dark to lime green. A must-have edition and probably my personal favourite! Overall, this was a new and exciting series of minifigures. You will want some method to disply your new purchases. The build time was how long it took to piece them all together when I got them home and opened the packages. These will probably please any LEGO fan or not, even if you are not a fan of The Simpsons television series. Tip: These minifigures are quite hard to feel for sometimes, especially with Milhouse and Ralph.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WORST MISTAKE EVER!!! This series was the worst choice Lego has ever made . They have no play value outside of the simpsons theme and are way overpriced at 4 $ ( Lego minifigures used to be 3$). The house was bad enough but a whole theme of minifigures is just garbage . I predict that they will go the way of the ninja turtles theme not many sets sold and no good for pro builders like me who look for sets that can be used outside of one theme . Also theyre like the toy story legos , they are big and bulky with heads and hair all being the same mold . In conclusion i definitley wouldnt recomend this to anyone . They are a complete waste of time and money so save both and dont even consider buying these poor quality minifigures .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Simpsons... Does it fly? My review on the simspons series. But does it fly to an excellent review, no. Does it fly to a terrible review? No. Does it fly to a bad review? YES. Krusty was good, homer, scratchy, bart and itchy was good but all others was downright terrible. So just... don't.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pretty rubbish This is awful. Why would anyone want this. These minifigures are overpriced and they look nothing like the ones from the Simpsons lego special. Why pay extra money for an exclusive weird head piece when you can just get a normal headpiece and an exclusive hair piece?

Date published: 2014-05-14
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing and expensive It's awesome that we have Simpson figs finally and there are some very cool ones here BUT there are a few glaring problems. 1. The price - $1 more than normal, that's a 33% increase! I get that there are licensing fees but the Simpson house, which is awesome btw, was less than 10 cents/piece. That is well below the usual 15-16 cents/piece for other licensed products (star wars I'm looking at you). Why the inconsistent and dramatic price increase for the minfigs? 2. Variants AND key characters missing - There are 5 variants/duplicates here! The entire Simpson family and Flanders were also in the house set. So 5 duplicates and some main characters are missing such as Moe, Barney, Mr. Smithers, Skinner, Carl and Lenny, comic book guy etc etc. In a nutshell, Lego is charging a premium for this set and is giving us duplicates/variants AND not including some very key characters! The absence of Smithers is especially baffling considering that we have Mr. Burns. WHAT IS UP WITH THIS LEGO!?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Series. I really like this series and I am a huge fan of the Simpsons when I can watch them on tv also the Lego Simpsons episode on FOX was very funny. First is Homer Simpson I like that he has a tv remote and a doughnut, Bart Simpson is cool and I like his skateboard,Grandpa Abe Simpson is very cool and I like his newspaper which reads Old Man Yells at Cloud which I thought was very hilarious,Ned Flanders is not bad and I like his toolbox that has property of Ned Flanders on it and his coffee cup which says I love South Paws,Krusty the Clown is very cool and I really like that he comes with a pie to throw at someone for a joke,Apu is an okay figure and I like his Sequshee Cup, and my last two which have to be my favorites are Itchy and Scratchy both are very cool with there tools to fight each other.I really like this series alot and I agree with others who have reviewed these figures that I hope we see another wave of the next Simpson chracters because these were very cool collecting so please Lego make some other Simpson Chracters and thank you for making this theme happen.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from One piece head. I am very disappointed to see single head piece rather than yellow printed face and separate head piece like all Lego minifigs. Just saw the Simpsons Lego episode where Comic Book guy changed his happy face to evil face, but you can't do that with these minifigures. It would have been nice to keep the originality rather than these 3D looking pieces. With these figures, you can't give Homer a hair extensions, like from 70's when he actually had hair OR take away Maggies pacifier. Overall good collection for all the Simpsons fans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A really cool product! My son just couldn't wait to get his hands on these because he really liked the complex head molds and he said he would like to see more of these figures in the future. He also gave me a list of figures he would like to see in Lego Simpsons: Mrs. Edna. Krabapple, Comic book guy, Moe, Waylon Smithers, Miss. Hoover, Principal Skinner, Jimbo, Kearny, Martin, Sherri, Terri

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simpsons Set Simply Superb I could not wait for these to come out after hearing this was the next minifigure series. Lego has hit the mark again, I cannot wait for the next set of Simpsons themed minifigures and sets to come out! There are just so many characters in The Simpsons that Lego could do! A++

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool Minifigures Extremely Overpriced I have to admit, these are actually really cool. The heads are unique and original, but the price drags this down. The first series of minifigures was $2 then it went up to $2.50 and then stayed at $3. Now it is $3! They increased an entire dollar in price for 1 single minifigure. That is outrageous! Especially considering Maggie only has 3 pieces. I am a huge Lego fan and would recommend these to anyone who has a lot of money to spend, but otherwise only get a couple that you want. It's easy to feel which one you're getting from the head, but all in all this is too expensive and I'm disappointed that Lego has raised the price so much. $3.50 would be iffy, but $4 is too much as I've already said numerous times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Licensed Minifigure Set, Spectacular! I am a Lego collector, particularly anything mainstream. This first series of Simpson's mini figures are great. Lego hit it spot on this time by bringing the Simpsons to the Lego world. The Simpson's house was a great start to 2014 and now the mini figure collection is another hit. I already have 3 full sets, two sealed and one opened on my desk at work. I have had every one of my employees comment on them because the Simpsons are so well known. I hope to see a second series as there are still many mainstream Simpsons characters I would like to see including Moe, Barney, Sideshow Bob and many others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! This are the best LEGO Minifigure series yet. I am so glad to see more minifigures of The Simpsons. My favorite of these figures is Ralph, because well… he's Ralph. Make sure to be cautious when feeling bags in case of getting a duplicate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for Simpsons Fans A fun set for Simpsons lovers. The family is much better here than the ones that come with the Simpsons house, they don’t all look stoned in this series which is nice although Maggie looks really nervous. We get a normal homer (work one comes with the house) Marge (Apron one comes with House) and Ned Flanders (BBQ one comes with the House). On the negative side I think the figure selection is good, except for that of Itchy and Scratchy, there are so many other characters I would have love to seen before them. Lenny, Carl, Barney, Moe, Patti, Selma and Smithers spring to mind. We still don’t have a Santa’s Little Helper and Snowball to finish of the family either. Also the accessories, Marge gets a purse and a copy of Donut Fancy (clearly a Homer Item), and with Bart we get another skate board, essentially the same (It has a printed strip rather than a sticker as in the house and the wheels are a lighter purple). I think Lego could have come up with different items for them. Nelson looks better than I thought he was going to when I first say the pics, Millhouse and Ralph just seem a bit off to me. But even with my complaining they are great, as a Lego and Simpsons fan there was no question I was going to get these. So if you like the Simpsons I think you will be happy with this series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simpsons minifigures I do not watch the Simpsons, so I don't care for this series, but, there is a plus side with it even if you don't watch the show: First is the new torso and leg colors, second is the short sleeve shirts, and shorts for kids. I've been waiting for short sleeves and kid shorts for awhile. I only got the cat from this series. His head and tail are rubber. The tail connects between the torso and legs, and is reversible, it can be up, or down. Hope this is helpful. :)
