Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The kid loves this set. My seven year old son got this for his birthday. He loves it. I could probably end the review with that! He likes the firing cannon, the four-armed bad guy (sorry, I don't follow Ninjago that close so I don't know names very well), and the general playability of this set. He built it himself, said it was a little harder than mosts sets he's built that are similar in size/piece count. I noticed there are some Technic construction assemblies. It seems like it is a lot fun for him, so my recommendation would be if your child likes the Ninjago theme, you should get this set if you haven't already.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from THIS THING IS A TANK! i love this set.. except for the fact that it is different than the one in the tv show. over all i like this set, the ice spider, the tank and the exclusive general Kozu. The samurai helmet design on the front looks cool and the prison on the back is a nice addition.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from "Behold! My final gi- What is this?" The overlord in Ninjago creates a new vehicle that was thought of for millennial. Then, as it was created, a long cannon protrudes from the center. The bridge hold Garmmadon and the stone army soilders and Nya as they ride into battle against the ninja. Lloyd tries to stop his father from firing the missile, but fails and it corrupts Ninjago. Now the vehicle is a tower that is destroyed by the Overlord. But it started out as a treaded tank. To start off, the look of it in my hands is decent. For a younger audience who neglects the show, it looks not only decent but has a cool function. While the missile is sticky, it works just fine. The bridge is large enough and it adds a jail. However, WHERE IS THE LARGE CANNON? In the show, the cannon is as long as the ship. The treads total FOUR not TWO. I can't help but notice the Zane ship is small. The overall justice it gives to the show is mediocre. The entire item is just so...underdone. For a set totaling this much, you should get at least 400 parts. Not only that, but I would expect 4 minifugures to go with this. I think this set was a let down to me. I can't place it into the show except when looking at the general shape. What they were thinking was...wrong. But some good things: Pros Allows for another important edition to the series. The firing feature was superb Zane actually has a vehicle Both Stone Army members are accurate Ship fits BASIC design Cons Fails to achieve important details that could be replicated from the show. Doesn't convey a sense of evil...more of another one sort of set Cannon can stall Bridge is too small Jail Cell is oddly placed Size is too small. Would I recommend this? No, sorry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ninjago Set I bought this set two days ago at the LEGO Store. It is my first Ninjago set in two years, and I am very pleased with it. Minifigures - Zane: Zane looks great as a KX ninja. I like the ice blade that he comes with. The only problem is that he doesn't come with the shoulder armor. - General Kozu: General Kozu is an awesome minifigure. It's cool how he has four arms. The helmet looks great too. - Stone Swordsman: The stone swordsman is a nice to have to go with the set. I like how it comes with Sensei Wu's hat, but in red. Ice Spider Zane's ice spider is a nice part to the set. I think the design of it is very creative. It does have a new brick on the bottom - a 2x2 flat tile with studs on the bottom. Garmatron Garmatron is the main part of this set. I really like how you can push the button in the back and the missile will fire. Sometimes it does get stuck and you have to pull the knob back and push it again. That does get a bit annoying. The bridge is cool, and it has some awesome stickers. The prison cell is neat too. It just doesn't have a back wall. Sometimes the treads will get stuck if they're not on a hard surface. Pros: - minifigures are awesome - vehicles Cons: - a bit expensive - Zane doesn't come with the shoulder armor - prison cell doesn't have a back wall

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good Set Good set overall. It was bigger then I thought it would be. It only took me about 20 minutes to make. I love the missile! Jail cell for Zane is very cool, though it is a bit smaller than I thought it would be. Ice blade is sooooooo cool!!!!!!!!! Lots of pieces for its price. Fairly well priced set. Lots of pros and not that many cons. Pros: lots of fancy pieces four red tracks very cool missile set-up very big the bad guys are very cool Kozo is so cool I played with him every day Zane looks good in the new uniform ice blade is cool Cons: the bridge is a bit small front cover is a bit flimsy Zane's ice speeder is a bit small

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good set This set is awesome. I like to play with it. It has three minifigures and two vehicles. General Kozu: That Warrior has four arms and two swords. His body is very well decorated. I can't belive that he is so tall, but it is good. The Stone Warrior: That man's face is blue and black. He has one sword and Sensei Wu's hat at red. He is one of my favourite soldiers. Zane KX: Ninjas look better when they have their elemetal colours and black. Elemental sword is awesome. He has some symbols in his costume. Ice Spider: This is a good little vehicle. His chainsaws and back legs are gold and it's a good thing. That vehicle has some kind of ice cannon front of it, probably. Garmatron: This is a cool vehicle. It has a big cannoon in front of it, which can be triggered from behind. Vechile has ninja jail and it's a nice addition. PROS: Good price Three minifigures Two vehicles Nice little things Great Ice sword CONS: This set has only one con: Where's Lord Garmadon? This is his vehicle. Too bad he is only in expensive sets... In summary, this set is awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome for shooting this set is extremely sturdy! i can pick it up from almost anywhere and shoot it easily. fairly simple to aim the shooter once you figure it out, and it is very fast. it is the same missile used in Cole's Tread Assault. it only took about 20 minutes to build it. and it comes with an awesome "spider thingy" for Zane to ride in since his shurikens were destroyed. love the sword!

(so that was good). the jale is actuly just big enough for 2 figures (ninjas) to fit in it even has it's own handel peice for it. The darkmatter missile is the best feature of the garmatron if you press it hard enough it goes OVER 1 meater!! it is good how it comes forward (like in the show) befor fiering. Rated 5 out of 5 by from GARMATRON Whew! This set is very, very cool! Now I asked for this set for my birthday and I was really glad to get it. My friend already had this set, so I got to see it in person, which really made me want to have that set. Now, instead of listing pros and cons, I will write about each part of the set individually. Minifigures: - General Kozu- Garmadons right-hand man is exclusive to this set, and I really think that LEGO couldn't have chosen a better set to put him in! Now, Kozu appears to be really tall, but in fact he is only 2.4 cm taller than the swordsman. His helmet is pretty cool, though often when I hold him and play with him, the visor covers his eyes, but that is OK. Kozu comes with two butterfly swords. -Swordsman- The Stone Army's main fighter is available in 3 sets. He is well depicted (no duh, it's not like LEGO made the TV series and can check whenever they want with the episodes) and has pretty OK armour. He comes with two katanas. -Zane KX- The ninja of ice is exclusively put into this set! His kimono is just awesome, with the white belt and highlights. I actually think that all the ninjas look much better when they have the black kimono part and then their representative colour, rather than just their normal colour. The only thing he lacks is a weapon holder, but I guess the increased arm maneuverability makes up for it. Zane's epic ice sword is so cool, (hahahahaha, get it? Oh, never mind that joke is a cliche now) it bends a bit but is really cool. A little, tiny bit of turquoise would make it look good. The Vehicles -Garmatron- The main part of the set is essential (you don't say!) for the success of the set. This set has completed that task easily. I tried building something with treads that are the same length as Garmatron's, only black, but my attempt failed. On Garmatron, LEGO has cleverly made them roll (?) smoothly on both carpet and hardwood. The cannon work really well if you know how to use it: The cannon needs momentum to shoot, and if that momentum is present, the inertia of the missile is so strong that it can fly almost 3 meters! The cockpit is pretty large with cool sticker displays, the prison is really good, because if you put some thought into it, Zane (or any ninja, for that matter) can't escape, because the only open way out would be through the cannon room or under the vehicle, none of which are possible without succumbing. Great vehicle! -Ice Spider- Zane only escape and defense other than himself, needs to be a little bit elaborated on. I guess the spider wasn't made super-fancy because it wasn't actually on TV. There isn't really that much movement allowed with the spider, but I don't want to be complaining. Overall, this set is worth your money. I'll put together the things I have written into a pros and cons list. PROS: Two exclusive minifigures! One common minifigure! Exclusive ice blade! Awesome vehicles! OK price. CONS: There aren't really any cons, which is the case with most LEGO sets :). Though as I mentioned, the ice spider needs some work. Good job LEGO for making my birthday awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Behold! My final gift to you... GARMATRON!!! I went to the shop to get the golden dragon, but instead I got this and the fire mech (they go great together!). First, before I go on, NINJAGO IS NOT ENDING!!! Has no one seen the LEGO message boards? Zane's ice speeder is awesome, and only takes 5 minutes to build. Everything about the ice speeder is awesome except for the fact that it lacks weapons. The Garmatron is epic! But don't let other reviews fool you, it's smaller than it's played out to be. It's about the same size as the picture on the box. Everything about the Garmatron is great, except it dosen't look like the show. I understand that these models were designed before the show aired in 2011, but I think it was a mistake to air island of darkness through rise of the spinjitzu master before LEGO released the 2013 sets. LEGO set our hopes to high (not mine though, I saw previews of these sets in October!) The best part of this set is the minifigures. The swordsman is pretty cool. General Kozu is my favourite. Zane KX (elemental robes, kimono, kimono xtreme, all the same, but not kamino! That is a planet in star wars!). There's a reason that Zane's shoulder armour wasn't included, and that's because he looks terrible. The only KX ninja that looks good with armour is Lloyd KX. Besides those faults, buy this set!!! P.S. Yes Lloyd KX was released, in the Ninjago Character Encyclopedia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Garmatron Us hard-core Ninjago fans are thrilled by the awesomeness of these sets, but grieved by the closing of this great theme. I could easily make this review a eulogy, but instead I'll review the set like I'm supposed to. The Garmatron is amazing! Let me define "amazing". Once you have put it together, you can't help but feel a twinge of pity for the heroes of Ninjago. Once you see the treads rolling menacingly across the floor, you say to Zane on his Ice Spider: "Sorry, but that ain't gonna cut the mustard." Almost every detail of Garmatron adds to it's astounding amount of terrifying-ness. LEGO has done an amazing job of capturing the menace of this vehicle. Now, although Zane's mechanical spider isn't a match for the splendor of the Garmatron, it is still very useful. I was skeptical at first, but I was pleased in the end. You kind of need to see it for yourself, but it is, in fact, a satisfying vehicle (at least compared to Jay's 'jetpack'). PROS: The afore-described beastly-ness of the Garmatron The missile launcher works ingeniously well The minifigures are splendid; Kozu is beautifully designed (in a freaky, stone warrior kind of way), as is his assistant, and Zane's Kimono is a testament to how much Ninjas care about style. Zane's Elemental Blade is almost completely transperant, with just a tiny hint of blue. I think this adds to the Icy-look wonderfully. It comes with an extra black katana. CONS: It seems like the front of the Garmatron was designed to look like a face. I don't know about you guys, but I'd prefer my vehicles not to have open-mouthed faces on the fronts of them. Not necessarily a con, but worth mentioning. And, as tradition insists, STICKERS!!!! Well done, LEGO! The evil magnificence of this set comes across blindingly well. I, for one, will miss Ninjago tremendously, and can only hope for their swift return. God bless Takeshi7013 (Thanks for featuring my 6282 Stringer review!!!!!! I was ecstatic!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome This set is really awesome. I could go on for days about how awesome it is, but instead I'll show you the pros and cons: PROS cool minifigs really big (bigger than I thought it would be) well built, durable good price treads work well (even on carpet) really cool sword great for fight scenes canon has really good range CONS not as big as it was in the show doesn't have Garmadon not enough space in the top That's all I have to say, if you count the number of pros and cons, there are way more pros! This is one of my favourite sets so far. P.S. This doesn't change my opinion towards the set, it's just an added note. The ice sword looks clear and blue on the box and in the show, but in real life it is actually just clear with a little, tiny part that is blue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value and Surprisingly Intricate... Every so often I run across a Lego set that makes me think, "How and who came up with the engineering on this toy.".....this is one of those sets. It's very compact yet very intricate. For young kids, your going to need your parents help with this as the base to the vehicle can be tricky if you aren't paying attention. I was very pleased with this set for the most part. I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about when he said the front treads don't work. Mine work fine, even on carpet. Perhaps they need to make sure the treads are on fully? I'm sort of surprised they didn't give you Garmadon in this as well, I mean it's named after him right? It seems Lego only puts him in the most expensive sets: Fire Temple, Garmadon's Dark Fortress, Epic Dragon Battle, Destiny's Bounty and now Temple of Light. If you don't have at least $70...sorry kids your not going to get Garmadon. I do like Kozu a lot better. His headress and printing is more detailed. The spider vehicle was a nice surprise and kind of cool. At least this time Zane didn't get the short end of the stick. Jay doesn't even have a vehicle this time around. I have to agree with the other reviewer however in that it just doesn't do Garmatron justice when comparing it to the show. In the show it was a huge hulking tank and this one seems like a tease. Don't get me wrong the design and the way it looks is nice but it's just too small to be believed to be an "ultimate weapon" There's barely any room in the top for two mini figures. It also seems like it was rushed when it came to finishing up the top. It's very bare. For these reasons I only give this set a 4 instead of a 5. The top is just too small and doesn't have enough playability in it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Buy, Lacks Design This was a great buy. Cool minifigs, Kuzo and Zane are fantastic. But it lacks the look from the show. It's very compact in the set, whereas in the TV show, it's large and in charge. Other than that, if you buy two of the sets you have more than enough pieces to create a Garmatron that looks like the one in the TV Show, but for $40 I'm not gonna complain too much. The ice spider is odd, but looks nice. Great pieces! Loved the set, just wasn't to big on the lack of TV Show design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Set I bought this set recently and it is great! I got it with two other sets and now have all four ninja and elemental blades. Pros: General Kozu Ice Blade Awesome Missle Launcher Prison Cons: Front Treads Don't Move Doesn't Include Garmadon Ice Spider's Back Legs Don't Move Only 2 Stone Warriors Control Base Is Too Small But, overall this is a great set

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing!! I was impressesd when I bought it at a lego store. When the model is completed it's very solid (or it won't fall apart). But just a little bit of advice: as you build the set, try reading the instructuions CAREFULLY. Because you may end up accidentally leaving out some essential pieces or putting some stickers on incorrectly. But this advice doesn't change my attitude towards Garmatron. It's just a building tip. This set is a great edition to a ningago collection. Weither you,re starting one or finishing it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wow! This set was probably one of the best Ninjago sets ever made. The vehicle itself was built amazingly stable, the price was well selected, but I think you need 70505 Temple of Light to have a full play experience. Why? First, this is Garmadons Weapon, but he comes in 70505 Temple of light, not this. Second, the thing that could fight this is also in the temple of light! But besides that, this set is amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Unspeakable Weapon! I love this set!!!! Garmatron is awesome, and this is the only set that comes with Zane KX and General Kozu! Mine even came with an extra black katana. LEGO made it look exactly like the one on the show. Pros: Zane KX. General Kozu. Stone Army soldier. Shouldn't come with Ice Spider, but I'll take it! Garmatron. Elemental Ice sword. Shadow missile. Command Center. 2 Exclusive Characters. Red treads. Ninja jail. Basically everything. Cons: Only two butterfly swords, General Kozu carries four. Zane doesn't have his gold shoulder armor. Stone Army soldier doesn't have his shield. Zane's sword is clear, instead of a transparent light blue. Should come with the Overlord. Overall, this set is awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely fun to play with! This set is fun to play with, and comes with 3 great minifigures. It comes with stickers, which I don't know why people hate. Zane looks amazing. The ninjas' new uniforms make them look more like ninjas. They do not have armour, but they appear to in the show. He has some symbols on his front, and a few straps. On the back, he has the symbol for the ice element. The Stone Warrior, or Swordsman, is very cool. His red straw hat is unique. The face is black and blue, and the designs look similar to Garmadon's. The armour is also new, and it's a good piece. The torso has the Stone Army's symbol and on the back it has some printing which looks like armour. There is a little printing on the legs. It's hard to take your eyes off of General Kozu! I like the red colour a lot. He has a helmet with a black attachment and a white face with some scary printing. He has 4 arms! The second body has armor that overlaps the first body. He even has back printing on his first body, and on his legs. Zane's Mech wasn't in the show. Maybe it'll be in the next season. It has gold saws in the front and moving front legs. It's fun to move around, and it has a good design. It's a little small, though. Garmatron is an amazing vehicle. It has 4 treads, and a jail in the back. The play feature is that you push a button at the back to show the missile. Then you hit it to launch it. It won't hurt people, but you shouldn't hit them with it. The missile can launch pretty far, as it launched about 10 feet for me. The only two cons are that it's a little hard to put more than one minifigure at the top, and the top part where you put minifigures is a little fragile (for me, at least). Great set!
