This is because the ability to resize the eBook is dependant on the ePub file itself. Currently, the Kobo eReader is unable to resize fonts on some ePub files. If the ePub was purchased through Kobo this feature will work, however we cannot alter or adjust font sizes on some ePubs purchased through a different site such as the Sony Library. This also applies to some 3rd party books transferred to the Kobo eReader through Adobe Digital Editions.
Kobo is continuing to investigate ways to make this possible, and a solution will be made available in a future software upgrade.

| |
Why is it taking forever to sync my eReader?
~ READ ~
The first time you sync your Kobo eReader, a couple of things are happening that take a few minutes.
1. Kobo is updating the Kobo eReader's software with the most recent version. (It's been a few weeks since it left the factory and they've made things better since then.)
2. Each of the books in your library is being transfered to the eReader. Each book takes 1-2 minutes, depending on its size. If you have 10 or more books, this will take 20+ minutes.
The good news: this will only happen the first time you sync. Afterwards, you will only transfer any new books you've purchased since your last sync.
