    Heather Reisman — Chief Executive Officer of Indigo
    Heather Reisman is the founder, Chair and CEO of Indigo, Canada’s largest book, gift and specialty toy retailer, and co-founder of Kobo, a leading global eReading company. Ms. Reisman was born in Montreal and educated at McGill University.

    For the first 16 years of her career Ms. Reisman was Managing Director of Paradigm Consulting, the strategy and change management firm she co-founded in 1979. Paradigm was the world's first strategic change consultancy and pioneered many organizational change strategies still in use today.

    Heather is a former Governor of McGill University and of the Toronto Stock Exchange. She has served on many North American boards and continues to serve as a Director on the board of Onex Corporation, and as an Officer of Mount Sinai Hospital. She is also a member of the Bilderberg Steering Committee, a geo-political think group.

    Ms. Reisman is the recipient of several awards including The Order of Canada, The WXN Top 100 Most Powerful Women, Waterloo Entrepreneur Hall of Fame, University of Waterloo; International Distinguished Entrepreneur Award, University of Manitoba; and the John Molson School of Business Award of Distinction, Concordia University. She is the recipient of Honourary Doctorates from Ryerson University (2006), Wilfred Laurier University (2009), Mount Allison University (2010), and St. Francis Xavier University (2013).

    Ms. Reisman is married to Gerald Schwartz, Chair and CEO of Onex Corporation. She has four children and nine grandchildren.

    Laura Carr – Chief Financial Officer
    Ms. Carr joined Indigo in November 2013 as Senior Vice President, Finance and was promoted to the Chief Financial Officer role in June 2014. Laura is responsible for Indigo’s Finance, Accounting, Merchandise Financial Planning & Allocation, Business Intelligence, Internal Audit, Loss Prevention and Indirect Procurement teams. She also serves as a Board Director for the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation and for the Calendar Club joint venture.

    Laura qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Whilst at PwC in London, England and Sydney, Australia, Laura worked mainly with retail clients. Prior to joining Indigo, she was Regional CFO, Americas and UK CFO for JT International. Laura holds a BSc. (Hons) in Accounting from Cardiff University in Wales.

    Joyce Gray — Chief Operating Officer
    Joyce L Gray joined indigo in July 2007. As Indigo’s Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for retail stores, communication, construction, visual merchandising and store design as well as the Print Business. Joyce also leads key cross functional strategic projects including Customer Centricity, Omni Channel and Decision Support. Prior to joining Indigo, Joyce was VP at Gap brand and 4th & Towne. The majority of her career was with the Walt Disney Company heading business and strategic planning for Disney Entertainment.

    Joyce graduated Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Merchandising and Business.

    Tod Morehead — Executive Vice President and Group General Merchandise Manager
    Tod Morehead joined Indigo in October 2012 and is head merchant for all general merchandise categories in the store. He is accountable for identifying and building the Lifestyle, Kids and Paper product categories as Indigo transforms its assortments for the future.

    Todd started his merchandising career at Macys West in San Francisco. After 10 years with Macys, Tod started his own women’s apparel business in San Francisco called Mike & Tod which was sold in many of the best catalogs and through specialty retailers in the U.S. Since then, he has taken on increasing responsibility with several respected companies in the U.S. including roles as Vice President of Merchandising at Bath and Body Works, General Merchandise Manager of Dean and Deluca and most recently as Executive Vice President of Merchandising at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. Tod has a wealth of experience and success in building great retail brands and developing new retail business.

    Tod holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

    Mike Mortson — Executive Vice President, Supply Chain
    Mike Mortson joined Indigo in January 2012 and is responsible for Supply Chain including Inventory Management, our Retail and Online Distribution Centres, Transportation, Master Data, Product Quality and Sourcing, and Business Process Redesign and Transformation. Prior to joining Indigo Mike was Vice President, Global Aftermarket Operations and Supply Chain Services at Celestica where he spent two decades in various Executive roles in Operations and Supply Chain, including leading Celestica's breakthrough transformation in Inventory performance. Prior to Celestica Mike worked at IBM.

    Mike has a Masters Business Administration from York University and a BASc, Honors, in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto.

    Kirsten Chapman – Chief Marketing Officer & Executive Vice President, E-Commerce
    Kirsten Chapman is responsible for the omni channel marketing activities for Indigo, driving the brand experience across all platforms. Kirsten is also responsible for e-commerce and driving the end to end experience across desktop, tablet and mobile. Kirsten was part of Indigo’s founding team in 1996, in the role of Senior Vice President Marketing. From 2000 through 2010 Kirsten held positions at Watt Design Group, Cott Corporation, Roots, Pistachio, and most recently as a retail strategist for the specialty retail consulting firm, Joe Jackman Brands. Kirsten holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from McGill University and lives in Toronto with her husband and 3 children.

    Sumit Oberai — Executive Vice President, Technology, Loyalty & Strategy
    Sumit Oberai joined Indigo in April 2006 and is responsible for all Information Technology functions at Indigo. Additionally, Mr. Oberai has responsibility for Indigo’s Loyalty & Customer Intelligence functions including the irewards & plum rewards loyalty programs as well as Indigo’s strategic planning process. Prior to joining Indigo, Sumit was SVP, Engineering at Eloqua, a software company acquired by Oracle in 2013, and a consultant for McKinsey & Company where he focused on strategy and operations for technology and telecom clients. Before that, he held various technology leadership roles at Critical Path, DocSpace, and Nortel Networks.

    Sumit holds a Masters of Business Administration from INSEAD, a Masters of Computer Engineering from University of Toronto, and a Bachelors of Mathematics & Engineering from Queen's University where he graduated as the Gold Medalist.

    Kathleen Flynn — General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
    Kathleen Flynn joined Indigo in February 2000 as Corporate Counsel of Chapters Online, then Corporate Counsel of Chapters Inc. and now holds the position of General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Indigo with responsibility for legal and corporate governance matters; she also oversees Indigo's real estate lease portfolio. Kathleen also serves as a Board Director for the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation and for the Calendar Club joint venture. Previously, Ms. Flynn was corporate counsel with Sears Canada Inc. and prior to that was in private practice.

    Kathleen holds an LLB degree from Queen's Law School and a Masters Degree in law from Osgoode Hall.

    Laura Dunne — Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Organizational Development
    Laura Dunne joined Indigo in October 2010 and is responsible for the Company's human resources and organizational development. Laura joined Indigo after almost a decade at Canadian Tire where she most recently served as Senior Vice President Human Resources and sat on the retailer's Executive Committee. Along with her passion for retail, Laura brings a broad range of experience in all aspects of human resources, including HR strategy development, organization design, change management, employee communications, talent management and development, succession planning, employee and labour relations, total rewards design and delivery, talent acquisition, and employee engagement strategies, to Indigo.

    Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.
