So the picture online seems to be the old version. the one that i actually got in the mail has Scout on it. My daughter was just over 10 mths when we got this toy for her. Although she`s a bit young for this toy, I bought it because she loves toys that make sounds and sing songs. she also doesn`t put anything in her mouth, so i knew the pieces wouldn`t be a problem. she`s almost 1 now and she loves it. she is learning to put the letters in the space herself and it`s fun to see her try and do this - and sometimes succeed! she definitely knows where to push for songs, that`s for sure:) great purchase. very happy. will last her a long time.
Great toy for toddlers

I bought this toy for my twin boys and, after just a few days of play, they know how to put the letter into the reader and are trying to make the sounds. It’s not just learning toy, it helps with developing more precise motor skills in toddlers.

A, B, C me play and learn! This English alphabet teaching toy features a battery-operated talking magnetic base and one sample of each letter of the alphabet. Children place a letter on the base and then press the letter to hear about its pronunciation and use. Pressing a music symbol results in a little song about the letter. Kids like the catchy music and enjoy having this activity stay placed on the refrigerator for repeat play. They also like to sing with, and dance to, this toy's music. NOTE: 3 "AAA" batteries required. 2 levels of volume. On/off switch included.

My daughter absolutely loved this toy and learned her alphabet song and letters so quickly - it was great! Any other child that we have given this to as a present has also been the same way. It can be somewhat annoying for a parent to hear it over and over again, but hey it is teaching your child the alphabet and keeping they busy at the fridge while you work in the kitchen! I totally recommend this toy for anyone with children.
