We already own a Battat train set and table, but were looking for more pieces to go with it; at $25, this spiral/bridge/crane/mountain set really caught our eye! The pieces are constructed well - they are smooth and I do not see any rough or slivered pieces. There are some plastic tracks, but they are the ones that are permanently in the spiral and the mountain ramp. The construction of the spiral involves a lot of screws, but that's a one-time thing and is one of the best features of this set. The pillar supports are great: the tracks have to "snap" into them so the tracks do not easily break apart. And the tracks connect stiffly enough so that they also don't come apart easily. Can a 1 year old or 2 year old come and rip apart the track? Yes. But this is made for 3 years and up, and that's specifically mentioned in the instructions. We purchased this for our 3 year old and 4 year old boys and they absolutely love it! (As long as we keep our 1 year old and 2 year old girls away!) They have been playing with it for days on end and haven't tired with it at all. Highly recommended.

Got this train set a couple of days ago because my son loves anything with wheels and because the price looked appealing as far as train sets go. I've seen how pricey they can be so decided to give this one a try. I was actually surprised on how big the actual train set was, it took up a whole coffee table. Set up was timely - mainly for the spiral bridge area, as it took lots of screwing in, but the rest was very easy to setup. My son loved it! He seemed to be having lots of fun, so if my son is happy I'm happy! No complaints here.

The wood iscut very rough and has all types of slivers hanging from it, it is not even sanded! The box it came in looks like a five year old constructed it. The plastic pieces, and yes a lot of it is plastic, are scratched, not properly painted and cheap cheap cheap! This is also NOT by Imaginarium!!!

Pretty neat toy, very decent size and a good deal at $25. The spiral part was the most challenging to put together. The tracks are a bit loose fitting and I think it might have been much better if they were tighter together. But, for $25...it's good!
