    The idea is great...

Love the idea of this clock. My son loves to wait for his clock to turn green (and often hollers to me out of his room that it is, in fact, green). In that respect, it's great.
However, they really fell flat in making this a battery operated clock (you CANNOT plug it in). Because the clock also lights up when you press the buttons on the feet, most toddlers will be inticed to press them over and over again. Between that, and the actual "ok to wake" light, the batteries drain quickly, and you'll find yourself replacing them and resetting everything (the time, alarm time, amount of time the clock stays lit, etc) on a regular basis. Another minor complaint is that the nightlight feature can only stay lit for 2 hours maximum. It would be nice if there was an option for it to glow all night.

We have this. It's awesome! My daughter (3 1/2) loves it, and really quickly caught on to how it works. She too, often says "mommy, my light's green". I like that it gives her a sense of time, and what's an appropriate time to wake. I would prefer if it plugged in, and if once the light turned green (ie. ok to wake) that it would stay green longer- because sometimes she sleeps in. We've had this for more than six months and have only replaced the batteries once. We put it up high, so she doesn't play with it. We love this. It is great for her and for us!
