I used to have a Fisher Price clock as a kid and haven't found anything comparable until now. This clock is awesome! Not only does it have the minutes and what not but it has a good variety of shapes to learn.

We got this for our son to help with numbers and telling time, and he absolutely loves it. I love the fact it teaches numbers, time, shape, and color too.

We bought this as a gift for our 5 year old, but our 2 year old loves sorting the shapes and learning the numbers.
The hands on the clock show which is the hour hand and which is the minute, the base shows how many minutes the hands have moved past noon....for each block.
We bought velcro tape and stuck it to the wall with the velcro, then we put a small piece of velcro on each block and hole so when they're placed in their correct spotthey stay put and don't get lost. They can take it down to play and stick it back on the wall when finished or play with it right on the wall.

We gave this to our daughter for Christmas last year and both her (age 5) and our son (age 2) enjoy playing with this. She's more into the time-telling; he likes 'doing the puzzle'.

This toy is a wonderful concept for little ones and preschool children. The pieces are large for little hands and learning to tell time is easy, fast and fun for kids. This product should be available in all preschools and early learning centers, the solid wooden pieces are very durable and last for ever..a great toy to pass on down the family!

    Educational Fun!

I work with children with special needs and have used this toy to introduce shapes, colors, numbers and the the time telling. As an abstract notion, time telling is difficult for children to grasp, but this toy makes the introduction fun, and easy as a continuation of learning the numbers. A great learning tool and a fun toy!

    "Amazing Results!"

If you ever wanted a toy that had maximum educational benefit for your loonie than this is the one.
My friend's son, who is 22 months old, was playing with the "Shape Sorting Clock" and I was impressed when he rattled off all of the numbers. I was then SHOCKED when he would pick up a piece and name its shape. He'd pick upa piece and say "hexagon" or "oval" and note its colour as well.
Now that's a toy that teaches.

We got this toy for our 3-year old. He can't tell time yet, but he loves clocks, and so far we've used it to learn colours, shapes, and we're starting numbers. It's also a fun puzzle.Soon we will start trying to show him time. He loves moving the hands around.

    Wonderful Educational Toy!

My daughter received this toy for her 4th birthday last year. At first I thought she was a little old for it, but the simple design made it easy for her to learn all about a clock, and how to tell time.

We love Melissa and Doug toys - they are very sturdy and last for years. Also, the customer service is excellent!!

I think this toy would be a great way to learn shapes and telling time. I would definitely buy this toy for both my kids.

I bought this toy for my daughter to use primarily as a shape-sorter, but what impresses me is that it can also be used to teach shape recognition, colours, number ordering and recognition, and well, how to tell time, too. I love that it has a really long useful life!

I think that this is a wonderful toy to get the young children started on as it will improve their motor skills and will help them to start regognizing shapes and numbers.
